Thank you Sounds True and NetGalley for this ARC.
Caverly Morgan, a former zen monk, provides a beautiful, thought inspiring book to guide the reader in their journey for inner peace and hopefully a more peaceful world.
The chapters provide the means do achieve this by way of tools such as journal prompts, guided mediation and the encouragement to seek the truth of life, predominantly by really examining our thoughts.
I return to this book often as it is so helpful and comforting to have readily accessible.
I highly recommend this wonderful book.

In her book The Heart of Who We Are…realizing freedom together, Caverly Morgan encourages the reader to find out what is true via our experience of the suggested explorations which are intended to lead us beyond theories and into transformative personal revelations to find more inner peace. The book presents practical and insightful wisdom for individual practices, as well as giving a vision for actions which may help effect a positive change in the wider world.
I really enjoyed the book and found it deeply thought provoking and helpful.
Thank you NetGalley and Sounds True for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review

This book by a former Zen monk is basically about seeking absolute truth and shared being while not ignoring the relative world of family, community and society. Discusses the contemplative technologies that will support your experience of being awake in the world, for example, creating an intentional space to practice , releasing negative self talk and thoughts, and getting in touch with your inner mentor. Each chapter contains a collective practices about ways to take the tools and teachings to the real world. This is an original effort to apply Zen to real world systemic problems such as racism, sexual harassment and inequity.
