Loved reading this book. Humor and stories that make you think. I would highly recommend this book. You would not be disappointed.
Joyce Meyer (or Mama Joyce as so many I know call her) always has solid content….but her books have such a dry delivery. Great nuggets of wisdom. But I much prefer listening to her than reading her. Alas, this book is on finding confidence…not in who YOU are, but who GOD is. That is what makes us truly confident. It was different than I expected but in a good way.
I pretty much own every Joyce Meyer book that has every been published, and I highly recommend her to everyone. I think that even if you aren't religious, there are still gems for someone to gleam from her books and her own personal story. 'Confidently You' has all of Joyce Meyers trademark honesty and practicality, which makes it an easy yet educational and helpful read. It might be my favorite one of hers yet, and the subject matter is so important and timely, and every woman could benefit from this book. I really am very honored that I was able to review an ARC for this, and have learned how to be more confident in myself, putting into practice the practical steps/tips outlined in this book. I hope Joyce Meyer continues to write, and if she does, I will always buy them, and suggest them, and give them for presents! Christmas is coming up, and this would be a great gift to give to all the women in your life.
Confidentally You has a lot of information that I thought I knew well. God loves me. That is something I have heard my entire life. Sure I believe it, but how often have I taken the time to actually think on what that means? I think it's such an easy phrase to say, but not easy phrase to fully understand. A lot of the information in this book is like that. It takes things I know the basics about and helps me fully understand the meaning. A lot of the advice isn't new, but is discussed in a way I haven't thought about before.
The chapters are structured for easy reading. Each chapter has a title and quote to let you know what you're going to read about in the chapter. The chapters are broken up into titled sections making it easy to put down and pick back up without losing your place. Each chapter ends with questions relating to the chapter for deeper thinking and verses that relate.
While all the information in this book is information that I knew on the surface, I really enjoyed being able to dig deeper into the different concepts. The questions at the end of each chapter are great for helping you do this. I suggest this book to anyone who may be struggling with confidence or confidence that fails when you do. It's a great book for small Bible study groups with limited time.
I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for this honest review.
Each devotion was nice and short. I enjoyed the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. I loved how each chapter ended with the sections "Questions To Help You Grow In Confidence" and " Confidence Boosters". The questions really got me to think about how truly confident I am. The scriptures at the end of each chapter definitely helped to remind me to not be afraid and to be confident in God and who I am in God.
I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Principles in this book are for every day life and for confidence building for yourself in Christ. it has great application questions at the end and great scripture verses to encourage confidence.
Great devotional and definitely recommend..
As always, Meyer does it again! What a wonderful book for anyone who needs to feel more confident in their Christian and everyday life. Meyer has the perfect amount of biblical knowledge with real-world examples. A must-read for anyone feeling they need to be bolder in their Christian life and in their everyday life.
I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. Joyce Meyer does it again with another outstanding book. We all need to read this one about how fear can hold you back. We are so loved by God and that is the reason to stand tall and move forward.
Confidence is a key to being all God desires you be, says Meyer. Being confident means, “...you become the best, most courageous, most positive version of yourself.” (61/1255) Meyer is quick to point out she is not writing about self-confidence. This is not about relying on your own strength and effort. Our confidence is in Christ alone. We draw our strength from God, trusting His character absolutely.
Meyer encourages us to see ourselves as God sees us. She reminds us of the problems we encounter when we put confidence in something or someone other than God. She explores the benefits of confidence in God, receiving God's love, living authentically. She also addresses cautions and helps us overcome obstacles like fear or opposition. Meyer has included thought provoking questions at the end of each chapter as well as encouraging Scripture.
This is a short book packed with encouragement from Meyer. This material is from her previously published book, The Confident Woman .
I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.
A great book from Joyce Meyer detailing how to be confident in yourself by being confident in God and His power. Filled with scripture and easy-to-understand language, making this book a great gift for new and seasoned believers.

I really, really enjoyed reading this book! It was really helpful and uplifting, and I highly recommend it!
Wow wow wow! This was a short book but it was very impactful! As someone who constantly struggles with being confident, this book helped me understand the why and reasons behind it and ways to helps me grow. I enjoyed it a lot! Can’t wait to read others by the author! Thank you to NetGalley for the wonderful arc!
This is a 14-chapter book that was very hard to put down. I got through it quickly. That alone tells you how good this is. Yes, I learned things from here. We all need to be ready to change when we read something, but this more than change, but helped me understand others and myself. We always seem to think the ones who are outspoken are confident. But are they? And then the ones who are super quiet we think are just shy. But are they? You will need to read this book to find out those answers and to really understand yourself.
