Robert Weiss gave a compelling argument against the recent social fad we know as codependency. Prodependence works as the opposite of codependency and encourages those working with addicts and their families to stop pathologizing their basic instinct to love and nurture. I appreciated Weiss' explanation and examples of healthy boundaries while using the pro-dependence approach. The book was well written but I felt that he repeated himself multiple times. The overall structure of the e-book (Kindle edition) was chaotic. Some paragraphs were cut off by other paragraphs and I'd have to scroll down and find my correct spot, most new sections had a weird gap with the first letter of the first word, and there would be repeating paragraphs. All in all, it was a great book but needs some proofreading and structural edits.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.
