Thank you to Netgally and the publisher for an ARC of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
The best way I could describe this book is a Hallmark rom com in book form. For my personal taste it was a bit too much and I lost interest pretty quickly. The truth is that the description of the book does present a pretty out there set up but that just means that I walked into this with pretty low expectations..
I think there are people who would like this book, I am just not sure who those people are.The people who like the Hallmark movies, I guess.
I am not going to spoil it but just when I thought this book couldn't possibly include another rom com cliché, that ending just comes in and hits you like bus (or should I say plane).
More like a 1.5 for me personally, but the narration was good and I do think there are people who would enjoy this kind of book.

Narrator: The narrator chosen for this audiobook did a wonderful job. I enjoyed listening to her bring the characters and story to life.

In this story we follow Nell, one of three Delaney sisters. One of the sisters needs to marry Aiden to help save the family business. This story focuses on Nell with two more books focusing on the other sisters. I like that the author gave each sister her own book to tell their story and I am eager to get to the other two.

Story: Overall I enjoyed this story. It has its funny moments, the characters were enjoyable and the overall plot was interesting. The first half of the book had a few parts that felt unrealistic (I am being nitpicky) and I couldn't get past it, but the second half of the book is entertaining and picks up. I am glad I stuck with it.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

3 sisters are asked by their mom to get married for money to help the family finances and a failing small business. They have 30 days to find someone better than Aiden and get engaged in public. Nell decides to try to get Grant to fall for her but, she had no idea he was already into her. Will Nell get Grant to stick around and propose or will she have to resort back to Aiden? Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for my honest feedback!

This book was adorably hilarious. When our main character finds herself in a bet with her sisters over who will marry first, she decides she’s finally going to go after the man of her dreams - and it just gets more and more hilarious from there.

This book was just a perfect romantic comedy. There’s some miscommunication which annoys me but it turns into something completely hilarious and made it worth it.

Thanks to NetGalley for the audiobook!

When Nell and her sisters must choose who is to enter a marriage-of-convenience, they make a bet - whoever cannot find love by the end of the month will be the one to wed.

I don't read much contemporary romance, but I picked up this book because I was excited for the hijinks that the blurb promised. I was ended up only partly sold on romance and hijinks alike.

I thought the story was well-written, and the author managed to sell a pretty outlandish premise. I was interested in how the main character, Nell, having always taken the hard knocks to shield her sisters, was determined to not take this one lying down. It made for an interesting dynamic between her and Grant, especially when he began trying to chase her off.

However, the humor of Operation Dump Me didn't really work for me, which was a shame as it was this aspect of the story that had really interested me. I also thought the story was paced very oddly, as about fifty percent was just Grant and Nell spending an endless day together in which they were meant to fall in love. This section went on for far too long, perhaps to cement their bond, and ended up boring me.

My ARC of this book was an audiobook which was narrated by Rachel Leblang. I thought she did a good job portraying Nell's sweetness and tough spine, though I didn't really like her voices for Charlotte and Misty.

This book was based on such a ridculous and stupid idea. No adult would race to be engaged in 30 days. The whole idea of this was terrible. The love story was ok but it read like a very young audoence book.

This book did not go the way I expected it to and I loved that! I actually really enjoyed the whole book, even if the whole bet the daughters make seems ludicrous. That their mom even proposed someone get married for the business was shocking to me. I was really happy with the way it all worked out and look forward to the next book!

Such a cute book with How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days Vibes... if you loved that movie, you will adore this book.

When she finds out that her family coffee shop is in trouble and the only way to save it is an arranged marriage she strikes up a deal with her sisters. While on the trip Nell ends up getting hurt and has to spend the night at Grand's cottage. Much to her delight they hit it off and she has an amazing night. However, when she wakes up he is gone. Wow this was such a fantastic novel. I have to say I loved every second of it. It just had me hooked from the very start. I would definitely class this book as a brilliant page turner. I listened to the audiobook and just loved the narrator she really brought the book to life. She made it so gripping and created such a wonderful atmosphere with her wonderful voice.

It is one of those very easy books to read and follow. With it lighthearted story and loveable characters. I adored the story line even though most romance novels are really predictable we still love them. It's just the way this story develops that really stands out. I also love the characters and how they developed. There was a fantastic sense of family and community love that really made be feel so good.

I really do recommend this book to all those romance fans. This book would make an excellent feel good summer or beach read.

So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating this stunning feel good storythat will brighten up you day. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this very talented author.

First Bride to Fall by Ginny Baird
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Clean, easy and cute contemporary romance read. The type of book where you want to sit down and not have any surprises, so you read for the comfort knowing that there will be a happily ever after even if the two MC's are being doorknobs. The dialogue between the two characters was fun, and made me giggle often with their banter.

I can't seem to ignore the fact that Nell was a grown adult who had a crush on a guy for years and weirdly made him a birthday gift every year since highschool, but they never really talked prior to the hike at the beginning of the story, and her entire family knew about Grant and cheered her on. So if this was real life Grant would have most likely tucked tail and ran from those red flags.

There are these sisters, and they each have their own hopes and dreams. When their family’s way of life is threatened though, they are willing to risk their future to race to find love in 30 days.

This story is such an adorable small-town clean romance. I love that Nell sets her sights on Grant, a man she’s always loved. The two don’t have the same things in common, which creates those silly moments I enjoyed!

I really enjoyed the situations in the story. I had so many moments where I was laughing out loud! There are sweet, heartwarming moments as well. It was a bit over-the-top, and unrealistic to expect that these sisters can find love and get engaged in 30 days, but that made it such a fun premise! It’s a really well-rounded story and was a compelling read.

I can’t wait for the next books in this series! I need to know how the other two sisters’ stories go! I would absolutely recommend this book to any rom-com reader!

To be honest I DNF this book. I find it boring for me. I didn't feel any connection with these characters.

This audiobook was great, I felt like the narrator really brought the story to life. Bell and Grant may have begun their relationship with a great “meet cute” but things take a turn when Grant learns the truth behind Nell’s interest in him. I definitely did not agree with how Grant dealt with the situation, I did love how even after everything they managed to find their happily ever after with each other. I cannot wait to read more about the Delaney sisters!

"At least then she’d know for sure that a relationship with Grant was off the table. She’d been too scared to learn the truth until now, but that was before this clock started ticking."

Themes and vibes:
• cute, sweet & fun
• wedding fever LOL
• small town
• sisterly bonds
• clumsy heroin and outdoorsy hero
• stranded (sort of) in a cabin
• waterfalls and rainbows
• I'll die before losing to you
• clean romance

This was adorable, I enjoyed it so much! Sure, it was farfetched for the most part. A month to get engaged would be a stretch even in the best circumstances.

But I’m glad you could expect it from the blurb. So I was prepared it's not going to be the most realistic romance ever, and I picked it up at the exact time I was in a mood for something exactly like that.

And I loved it! It was fun and cute and lighthearted. The writing was good and the characters were adorable. The setting, too.

I listened First Bride to Fall as an audiobook. The narrator did a great job, I definitely recommend the audio version.

Also, can I please, please get Misty and Charlotte’s books now? Yesterday would be great too!

In order to save her parents’ coffee shop from ruin, Nell Delaney or one of her sisters must marry the son of their former business partners’ Aiden Stone. In order to provide the inflow of cash needed, Nell, Charlotte or Misty must marry him within 30 days. The sisters make a bet and agree that whoever isn’t engaged in those 30 days will marry Aiden. Nell sets her sights on adventure loving Grant Williams, her high school crush.

First Bride to Fall is a sweet, clean romance, with lots of humorous scenes. Grant and Nell are both highly like able characters, who I’d want to be friends with, which just makes you root for them to fall in love even more. Even if a bit predictable at time, I still found it very entertaining.

Y’all, this was adorable! It’s a new author to me and it’s not my normal type of romance but I really enjoyed it. It was a fun, light romance that made me laugh. These two were hilarious and stubborn.
I loved that this was mostly an outdoorsy type story with a sorta insta love. Again, the author did a great job with the fun in this story. I highly recommend it if you want a fun, sweet and clean romance.
I chose to listen to this book on audio and the narrator was Rachel Leblang and she was awesome. A great fit for this book.

*I received a free copy of this audiobook from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.*

This book was cute but frustrating. There were times I liked the characters and other times when I found that difficult because they acted like immature children trying to get back at each other. When they were sincere, I cheered for them. When they were brats, I wanted to put them in time-out and lecture them on honesty and open communication. Every one of their problems would have been solved simply by talking to each other, but I suppose that would have removed a large portion of the book.

Nell (30) and Grant (32) seemed more like they were in their mid-20s than their early 30s, but perhaps that's because I had been married for more than a decade and had three kids already by the time I was Grant's age. It's true that life's experiences shape us. Anyway. I liked that Nell cared for others and rose to challenges she was given, but I was annoyed by all of her pretending when she should have just been herself. I was actually a big fan of Grant until he found out about the bet with Nell's sisters--he had been so patient and kind up until that point, and then he started acting like a jerk instead of (you guessed it) talking to her. Then they were both so ridiculously stubborn that reading their attempts to drive each other away was somewhat painful.

The writing was fine, and things ended how they should have. I'm not sure if there are plans for additional books, but it feels like there could be. The matter of the cafe's viability is still up in the air, as well as the hint of Lucas's interest in Misty. My prediction would be a book getting Misty and Lucas together and another with Charlotte and Aiden. That would nicely wrap up both of those loose ends.

How it ends: (view spoiler)

Note: Nothing bad.

Audiobook Review:

This narrator's voice was just fine and fit Nell quite well. My biggest complaint is how she spoke sometimes. She would frequently over-enunciate things (for example, "ninety" was pronounce "nine-tee" like it was two words). She also had a tendency to add strange pauses in between words. But other than that, she wasn't bad to listen to.

Narrator: Rachel LeBlanc

First Bride to Fall was a fun read. It was predictable but still had a few surprises. The descriptions of their adventure painted a very vivid picture. I truly felt I was watching an adorable romcom! I rooted for Grant and Nell and can't wait to see what adventures are in store for the rest of the family in book 2.
