Thank you Netgalley and Tantor Audio for this advance listener copy in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a lot of fun. I don't normally read too many cozy mysteries, but after reading this one, I'm wondering why. I've always thought it would be fun to be a citizen detective, so these ladies were awesome to me. I've never had cancer, but I can relate on a certain level here as both of my parents battled stage four cancer. And the book club aspect was fantastic. I've been looking for a book club for a long time. ;)

Rarity is a bookstore owner who has just beaten breast cancer. She decides to start a book club for cancer survivors and everything is going well until one of the book club members turns up missing.

Rarity and her friends were so relatable and realistic. I just loved this book. I finished it in one sitting. I cannot wait for the sequel. Four solid stars.

Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington Lyrical Publishing for this audio arc in exchange for my honest review.

Rating: 3.5/5

The Tuesday Night Survivors Club by Lynn Cahoon is a women's fiction with a murder mystery at its centre.
Rarity, a breast cancer survivor, relocates to Sedona and opens a bookstore focusing on the power of healing. She also establishes the Tuesday Night Survivors Book Club as a support group. When one of their book club members goes missing, the survivor club quickly turns into a sleuthing club. What follows is a fun ride with the book club girls about how and if they will solve the mystery.
I adored the characters and the setting in a small town. The character development was excellent, and everyone was extremely relatable. I loved how small businesses helped each other out and how everyone in the community had each other's back. Also, the members of the club were interesting and real-especially the way they began investigating the murder, which was funny and realistic (after all, not everyone is curious). Sam was my favourite of the bunch; she's full of energy and keeps things moving. Finally, I adored the name "Rarity."
The story is engaging and easy to read. Although the plot is predictable, the mystery is not what keeps you interested. It's the people, their friendships and conversations, that urge you to keep going.
Overall, Lynn Cahoon's The Tuesday Night Survivors Club is light and fresh. If you want to read some feel-good women's fiction, I highly recommend this!

I really enjoyed this book. I had the opportunity to listen to it as an audiobook thanks to netgalley.com

I liked how there was a bit of a plot twist at the end and some unexpected twists. I wouldn't mind a sequel showing life with Rarity and Archer and Sam and Drew 🥰

This was a great story. I really enjoyed reading it.i became engrossed in it very quickly and finished it just one day. I loved the story line so much. I mean who doesn't love a book about a book shop and book club. I thought it was very unique story as it was about a cancer survivors book group. I loved how diverse the characters were which added a great element to the Story. I would describe this book as a cozy mystery. As the ladies all work together to solve the disappearance and murder of one of there club members leaving behind a dog called killer. I didn't work out who did it.

It's a nice laid back k medium pace book. That had a great air of humour along with a great sense of community and friendship.

I will definitely recommend this book to cozy mystery fans. I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator did a really good job adding atmosphere.

So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating this brilliant lighthearted mystery book.

🌟🌟🌟💫

Well well well, wasn't this a cozy little series;)

I was hooked... i mean it is similar to the other cozy mystery series that i have read - likeable female protagonist, who owns a cutely named dog, has two or more people interested in her, works with one or more females to solve murders they should not have gotten sucked into but cannot help themselves, and oh..one of the guys who likes her so happens to be a hot, cranky detective.

:)

Still... a cozy read is a cozy read... :) and the thing that sets it apart is the fact that this started off as a bookclub that comprises of cancer survivors - how very clever.

Set in Sedona, Arizona, The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club is Lynn Cahoon's first book in her new Survivors' Book Club Mysteries. The protagonist, Rarity Jones, has recently survived a bout of breast cancer and relocated to Sedona, Arizona where her best friend Sam lives. In an attempt to network with other cancer survivors, Rarity starts a book club at her new store which focuses on providing books which offer a variety of healing methods. One of the book club members disappears after the first meeting of the club and is later found murdered. The other book club members decide to investigate to help find her killer.

Through very creative storytelling, the author shines a new light on the world of cancer treatment and survivors as well as giving a new outlook to support groups in general. As the plot twists unravel the motive and identity of the killer additional dialogue is brought forward regarding both traditional and alternative medicine with regard to treatments of the disease. I found the progress of the membership of the book club from just survivors to being more inclusive toward individuals undergoing current treatment as well as members of the support system of the survivors to be especially creative as it demonstrated the necessity to provide an outlet for all persons involved with the disease.

The narration of this book was well-paced and had excellent differentiation between the individual character voices. I look forward to more installments of this series to see where the author takes both the characters and the overall book club idea in the future.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Tantor Media and NetGalley and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book! This story is a small town who done it that starts at a cancer survivor book club at the new local bookstore. When one of their book club 'friends' (I use that term loosely - more like acquaintances) goes missing the group dives deep into the investigation.

The book is full of great characters who don't know when to quit. Even when things start to get complicated they keep digging deep. This book is full of intrigue and will keep you guessing. Is the mystery revolutionary? No but it makes it feel lighthearted and sweet. There is a hint of romance and the pacing is quick and far from slow. That being said I will say that the romance is a bit lack luster. Since it is a secondary storyline is does not ruin the story but I felt like the characters and the relationships were a bit underdeveloped.

Overall, I would recommend this to someone looking for a quick lighthearted mystery but I can't say I would keep it in my personal library.

Loved the narration! This was such an easy read, I finished it in a day. The story was flowy and captivating. Didn't drag a bit. A perfect book for COZY MYSTERY LOVERS <3

Looking forward to more works by this narrator.

This was a very light cozy mystery read. It was not that difficult to figure out the killer. My biggest complaint was the narrator. The character's voices were just to "valley girl" for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me a copy of this audio book for review.

Thank you to Net Galley, the publisher, and author for an ARC of this book. I enjoyed listening to this cozy mystery. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, especially Killer, lol. I think this is the start of a fun series. I would definitely read more of this series.
The characters are however too old for the high school library, so I will not be purchasing it for my library. I do recommend it for adults looking for a fun, light, mystery.

Since beating cancer, Rarity Jones has opened a book shop in Sedona, Arizona with a focus on healing. She has also started a book club for fellow survivors. When one of their members goes missing, the book club decides to investigate.

This is the first in a new cozy mystery series. I did not care for some of the voices the narrator used in the audiobook, so if I read more books in this series, I would pick a print or ebook version. Despite the book club being a book club for cancer survivors, both the books they read and their thoughts and feelings around their cancer journeys were barely mentioned. Probably because this book was setting up the series, I felt like we barely got into any particular subject in depth. Overall, the story was OK but left nothing that stood out to me as something to set it apart from other books in its genre.

Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me an audio ARC of this book.

I have read/listened to several series by this author and when I first heard of this new series, I was not sure how I would like it. I wound up really enjoying it. It did not focus as much on how they were survivors, but more on solving the mystery. This made it a much more enjoyable read for me. I liked the book club idea and how it evolved as most cozy mysteries do into a group that solved the mystery of what happened to their friend. I look forward to more in this series.

Honestly! I would read anything by Lynn Cahoon and also I have a new favorite audiobook narrator! I love that this story is set in a place where things aren’t vaguely permanently Christianized (ie, there’s a fortune teller, a crystal shop, etc), and I love that it doesn’t necessarily center around the main character’s bookshop, but rather the cancer survivor book club that she runs. There’s copaganda here in the form of a very handsome cop, who is also the love interest for the two main characters. The only worries I have about this series - which I would definitely pick up another of, due to LYNN CAHOON !!! - is that I don’t see how the next books in the series can have pun titles. Which is an important factor of the genre! Not a lot of focus on the mystery in this one, it was definitely the least important part of the book, but there was a lot of interesting character work. Four stars.

The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club is the first book in the Survivor's Book Club Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon and I absolutely loved it!

I loved reading this book and I can't wait for future books in the series! I loved meeting the members of the Tuesday Night Survivors' Book Club! I found the characters to be likable, relatable, and so interesting! I loved how the author incorporated her experience as a cancer survivor into developing these characters. People who have gone through a significant health event due look at life a little differently and I loved reading about people who think like I do.

The story was fast paced and fascinating! I couldn't wait to see who the killer was. This story was so much fun and I loved reading it! I could not put this book down!

I loved the narration by C.S.E. Cooney! She did such a great job bringing the story to life!

I can't wait to see what's to come! I highly recommend reading this book!

A breast cancer survivor moves to Sedona and opens a book store next to her best friend's crystal shop. When she starts a "survivors book club," it brings several interesting women to the group. When one of them disappears, the group agrees to investigate. In addition to these characters, there are other supporting characters who lend some romance and some eccentricity to the story. The characters really made this story. The plot was average, but did hold my interest initially. It was a bit too predictable, though. The other thing I did not like was the voice given to the main character (Rarity). Her voice is very low pitched and quiet, making it difficult to hear without raising the volume. [This is one of my peeves with audiobooks--changing volume constantly is frustrating and sometimes difficult to do.] Rarity's voice also seemed devoid of feeling--could have used more inflection. The addition of the dog was a nice touch.
Overall, I didn't feel this was one of Lynn Cahoon's best efforts. I much prefer her Tourist Trap mysteries.

The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club
by: Lynn Canon
narrated by: C.S.E. Cooney
Tantor Audio
General Fiction (Adult), Mystery & Thrillers

Rarity Jones, bookstore owner and breast cancer survivor, chooses to help others in the community of Sedona, Arizona. She stocks her shop with books focusing on a variety of methods of health and healing, including New Age. As a bonus, she forms a book club as a support group for cancer survivors.
The club gets off to a good start, meeting on Tuesday nights, growing in size, and choosing the book selections to read together. When a local goes missing, the club members suddenly become immersed in the puzzling situation.

Cahoon's chosen setting of this book adds so much interest to this cozy mystery, and I could visualize the surrounding canyons, buttes, and orange sunrises and scarlet sunsets. As a lover of walking trails, I enjoyed the inclusion of hiking in the characters' lifestyles and the mystery itself. I pictured Rarity relaxing in her cottage's pool and hot tub, and leading the intimate book club meetings in her store.
Narrator Cooney has just the right pacing and inflection in her easy to listen to voice, for an excellent audiobook listening experience.

The book offers so much more than page turning suspense. Female friendship, connections, and Sedona ambience shine like the Arizona sun in this very pleasant audiobook. I'm happy that it is first in a new series so I can re-connect with these characters in Sedona.

Thank you to Net Galley and Tantor Audio for the advance copy of the audiobook. I am sharing my unbiased review.

- the story was more like feel good story of friends met in a bookstore of cancer survivors. The scenery too of the story was heart warming that I felt Like I need to go on a vacation . Anyway, the story was around rarity, and friends . Finding out one of their members gone missing, quite not as fast paced read nor slow. On and on with the story , the book club turned into investigative meeting every Tuesday. It was fun .
- it wasn’t as thriller it might be, as it comes on the end of the chapter. It just being with friends, and locals gather together to find out the mystery.
Overall, it was worth to read. Fun and easy read .

- narrator did amazing too.

This is a cozy mystery with a book club for cancer survivors as its magnet. Everything centers around the members and the personal info they shared at the first meeting.

It's a cozy. I have to go into light read, fiction mode when I pick these up. Not everything has to be dark or educational. My biggest problem is amateur sleuths infiltrating a police department which I understand is a trope. I have trouble wrapping my head around that.

This was a fast listen, the audio narrator did a good job.

Cahoon impressed me with her coupling. I liked that she had the characters go hiking. I was tickled by the other businesses, besides the book store, that were mentioned.

Thank you NetGalley and Tantor Audio for accepting my request to read and review The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club.
