I could not appreciate this book. I found it more to be about the author herself and her memories, than about how trees become part of our lives, offering strength, beauty, shelter. I would like to thank NetGalley and Scribd Originals for allowing the read on this book.

“Perhaps I cannot remember everything, perhaps I cannot save everything, but I can write a letter to trees, and for trees. I can praise the trees, branch by branch.” I adore this slender book, remembrances and meditations on trees. I’ll read it again and again and I’ll be composing my own remembrances and meditations to trees as I do.
