Excellent self help book for anxiety sufferers. Well written thoughtful, easy to read in one sitting. Appreciated the direct style. I think others will find this book helpful.
A handy little book that could probably be of help to anyone who's had their time with anxiety. I could definitely see parts of this I could apply to my own real-life situations that may or may not bring out my own anxiety, as well - it's structured and coherent enough to be "reliable" without being too pedantic.
This book is essential for anyone struggling with anxiety. It is not a workbook, but more of a tool that can be used as needed. It is separated into sections with key points and reminders clearly pulled out for easy and quick reference. Most books about anxiety are either explanations of the condition or a program with structured steps to follow. This book is much more concrete and immediately usable, with tangible suggestions and techniques. It delves into other areas that can be affected by anxious behavior and how to manage them. I appreciated the author's honest take on the issue, not trying to "cure" anyone, but simply provided tools to take more control over your thoughts and actions. I will absolutely recommend this book to those I work with and utilize what I've learned to assist students.
I have a few pages in this book marked for hard times when my anxiety peaks. This book was like having my own personal therapist to work through some of my anxiety with and I've referenced it quite a few times.I just reviewed The Anxiety Audit by Lynn Lyons. #TheAnxietyAudit #NetGalley

With a balance of practical approach and storytelling using anecdotes and experiences from her own life, Lynn Lyons provides a useful guide to rooting out anxiety in people's lives.
One of the features of the book is its emphasis on prevention as well as resilience. Lynn Lyons encourages readers to conduct a self-awareness "audit" to understand the source of their anxiety. When people identify these patterns early on, they can develop a toolkit to confront anxiety. They also build resilience for the future, because some anxiety is just part of the human experience.
I was provided a digital copy from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

This was an informative and practical book that made me think about how anxiety affects my life and those around me. It put a perspective on my worrying and negative thinking and offered ways to change some of that. It made me think about always being busy and multi tasking because that is what everybody seems to be and how it is not ideal for me. It helped open my eyes to some areas I could definitely improve on and offered possible solutions. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.
This book provides practical insight into how anxiety works, each situation is given its own chapter and the author uses real world experience to show it in action. This book is well researched and the author's clear experience with the subject matter leaps from the page. As with all health and wellbeing books I do recommend having a paperback version as it is easier to writes notes etc, it can be done on an e-reader but if your trying to minimize anxiety I recommend pen and paper.
