"Does My Butt Look Big in This?" by Felicity Hayward is a memoir and self-help book focused on size and body positivity.

I enjoyed reading her story and experiences as a plus-size model. She is really beautiful and includes many pictures of herself. She writes about the lack of high-end plus-size fashion, though this is changing. London and how the UK is far behind the US in plus size representation.

There are several good sections about self-love. There are parts about crystals, music, scents, and sound baths. If I didn't already feel good about my plus-size body, this might be helpful in getting there. You definitely don't feel alone, and you see how toxic the media can be to most women.

If the title draws you, read this one! It is informative, uplifting, and inspiring.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing this e-book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a memoir as much as a manifesto, but it's interesting reading and the author's experiences will resonate with young women coming into their own in this strange new world where we've made progress toward treating all bodies with respect and kindness, but we're not quite there yet. As a curve model, the author definitely has a unique perspective to share and a voice that should be heard. The tone is very informal, conversational, and downright earnest, but there's a healthy firmness too--hard-won boundaries against fat-shaming and exclusion that are a great model for women learning to reject society's arbitrary and harmful standards and forge their own paths.

Given the author's career, there is a lot of focus on fashion and social media, but since those are both very central to the fat experience, especially for young people, they should resonate with readers. I don't know if I'd call anything I read revolutionary, but it's still a great message to hear and an effective voice to be delivering that message. I hope a lot of people read this and get the shot of confidence and encouragement they need!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
