"No Love Lost" by LynDee Walker is a riveting mystery that follows a determined protagonist as she unravels a complex web of secrets and lies, keeping readers guessing until the very end.
This mystery thriller was interesting. I have to say that the villain/ killer was intriguing for me. Between the Rangers investigative staff and the medical team they kept the pages turning with all the involved research used to track the killer down and catch them. I definitely enjoyed all the entertainment and action from the book.
This is easily one of the most intense books that I have read so far this year. It is filled with twists and is a chilling mystery. The characters are smart and well developed, which greatly enhances the overall appeal of the story.
Texas Ranger Faith McClellan and her fiancé Commander Graham Hardin have one week before their wedding. Hoping for a quiet week was too much to ask for as during a training exercise, in an abandoned mall, they find a woman’s body. As they begin to search for clues, the body is transported to the morgue, only to disappear after their friend, the M.E., is seriously injured during her autopsy. Now this has become personal. They know that her body was missing several organs and they fear that someone is harvesting organs to sell. As they find other bodies that are missing organs, the killer seems to be targeting victims with a specific blood type. There is a break in the case when they learn about the murder of a wealthy man who suffered from kidney disease. He was denied a kidney, due to his poor health, but apparently was able to purchase one. Now, they have a definite trail to follow. Will it lead them to the persons involved before another life is lost? A twisted mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
Another great addition in the Faith McClellan series! This is a must-read series. Great storyline -fast paced - strong characters. I highly recommend that you start with Book 1.
Thank you #netgalley and #severnriverpublishing for another great eARC.
The organ harvesting plot has been done but this one has a twist. Many of the chat aren't part of the solution but it makes for the unexpected ending
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this arc
I received a copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley.
This is the fifth in a series of which I haven't read any of the previous instalments, but this worked fine on its own - there were references to things that had happened in previous books, but these were provided by way of background and didn't slow the momentum of the plot. It was refreshing to read about a female law enforcement officer who was competent, respected, and in a nurturing relationship. The plot of this novel was complicated and there were a lot of characters to keep on top of, but it came together at the end in a way that tied up all the loose threads.
Recommended.
No Love Lost by LynDee Walker is the 5th book in the series but the first book I've read by this author. I didn't feel I missed anything by not reading the other books.
The subject matter is about organ harvesting and is a good book for crime thriller readers. The characters were okay. I didn't really connect with them, but it didn't deter me from reading the book and enjoying the storyline.

Good book! This book had suspense, intrigue, great police work and murder, gore, a somewhat serial killer and heartache, And heartbreak and some crazy twists! The storyline was very interesting and it seemed like it was going to be a gruesome crazy serial killer but ended up taking a twist and being very heartfelt, heartwarming, and heartbreaking! It kept me glued to my kindle! I definitely enjoyed reading this one! I will recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
