I have not read the first two books in this series.

Chelle Finch had so much potential in this story, but kept questioning herself because of her age. The constant description of her body also didn’t help. She’s 42, a size 16 and if I remember correctly, 5’7 or 5’8. So she shouldn’t be “that fat” like she’s described constantly.

Nash seemed like a now-it-all and that turned me off. He’s 8 years younger than Chelle. Both seemed not to act their age a lot and I couldn’t get comfy with these two. Sorry.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I would not have normally picked this book up because I find the men on romance covers to be distasteful, but I was curious to see how the marriage of convivence trope would play out for these characters. The mansplaing of Beckett was grating.. It was hard for me to grasp that Chelle who was trying to save her foundation would even agree to the marriage arrangement. Overall, I was able to finished the book but really did not find it enjoyable. I think it was just a different romance style than I'm use to. I'm sure the fans of the other 2 books in the series will love this one though.

The Last Man Standing guys are back with a bang as literal Last Man Standing Nash is determined to win the bet, he and his cousins Griff and Dixon came up with. Which means going on six dates and NOT falling in love unlike the other two whose attempts backfired when they met the loves of their lives.

But Nash has a fool proof plan thanks to a chance encounter his mum had with forty-two-year-old Chelle Finch and that plan is simple: marry Chelle, save her charity from her evil uncle's clutches, get his six dates and win the bet.

Yet, life is never that simple and even though Nash has a habit of riling everyone up by simply trying to help and becoming the proverbial mansplainer we all loathe. (Don't worry girls; Chelle is determined to cure him of this habit.) Chelle can't help but fall for him. Even though she knows she shouldn't and Nash is starting to feel the same way too.

And with plenty of humour, heat and sweetness. This was a really entertaining read. And I particularly loved that Ms Flynn added Griff and Dixon's pov when it became time to open the gift they were all desperate to win, and I found that moment very bittersweet.

Would happily recommend.

This book was amazing. I loved it. It exceeded my wildest expectations and what a ride. It had everything, comedy, love, touch of villainy, supporting funny family, and even dogs and cat. I couldn't read this book fast enough and only disappointment was when it was over. It had a great story that kept you entertained. The H & H have chemistry and put a smile on their sweet romance. This is a new author for me and I look forward to reading her out book. I highly recommend this book it is laugh out loud funny.

**I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

The story has a familiar overall theme, but Flynn has totally turned it on its head and brought us a story that is unique, fun, and charming.

Delightful twist between an older woman and a younger man, we get a different flavor of how he takes care of her. But in return, she’s also helping him become a better man in many aspects.

I really loved Beckett. He was super caring and sweet; nonjudgmental and sexy as sin.

Chelle was humorous, stressed, and a little odd, but a beautiful balance for him.

This story is fun and full of heat, and honestly, Beck was a dreamboat! Once you got past the mansplaining… he was awesome! Flynn crafted a delightful, sexy romp full of creativity and laughs.

3.5 stars. This was fun but, even for the genre, it was a bit extra. Nash's family is very over the top, both with their quirks and their involvement in each other's lives, but that pales in comparison to the teeth-gnashing villainy of Chelle's family. There was probably a way to introduce the conflict about their expectations for her without it being so on-the-nose and unrealistic. This also overindulged in some genre standards about male MCs (Did he really need to be a zillionaire? Did we need reassurance that he was a manly, manly man who'd had plenty of sexual exploits?).

With that out of the way, there was a lot of enjoy here. The chemistry between Chelle and Nash was explosive and the steamy bits were quite...quite! Their banter was also fun and I liked how we learned why Nash was the way he was. It was satisfying to see them learn, grow, and come to respect and accommodate each other. Readers who pick this up with be rewarded with a light, spicy read!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Nash is sure he going to win the bet against his cousin. Marrying Chelle will get him the win he deserves and will allow her to keep the family foundation she commands. The need to be married until after Christmas and the getting a divorce. And it might be easy because not feeling will be involved or so they think. But can they fight their attraction or will mixing their feelings bring them together or break them apart? Funny, sexy and full of love.

An adorably over explaining five-star read. This is number three in the Last Man standing series, but they can be read as stand-alone. They each tell the story of a different cousin and this times its Nash, and he is so adorable in his struggle for keeping everyone together and just trying to fix everyone, and I identify with that so much. He just wants to help everyone by explaining how they can do everything so much better, in his eyes. How Chelle copes with him, I will never know, but she does and that’s all that matters. I simply adored her, for her passion for her place in the foundation and her time to write, I would love to have the passion she does, as well as her adorable menagerie.

"Mansplainer" by Avery Flynn is a light funny read, perfect for the beach or in a winter cabin, for that matter.

Forced to get married to save her foundation Chelle meets the perfect man.
Or nearly perfect, if you are willing to overlook his tendency to mansplain everything to her.

Nash has the right plan for every situation.
He knows just what to do and isn't shy to tell everybody how it is done.
But can he also explain his undeniable attraction to his fake-wife?

Funny and sexy pageturner

The female lead in this book is 42 years old and a U.S. size 16—and this entire book is about how OLD and FAT she is.

Every physical description of her includes "round", "soft", or "ample". As a plus size woman, I very much appreciate seeing curvy women in romance. This book's take on it just didn't feel genuine or even complex. It felt a bit like a thin author trying to write a larger heroine. It just wasn't successful for me.

The heroine also complains about pre-menopausal hormones. SHE'S 42. There is a lot of talk about her aging out of dating and family life. Sure, there definitely ARE women who experience pre-menopause symptoms at this age, but the whole vibe of this book felt like this heroine is 80 years old. Again, maybe this is just my 44 year old self balking at this portrayal of the lead, but it didn't ring true for me.

A quirky, bibliophile, 40+ heroine who has a lot of pets, and treats those pets like children, has been DONE TO DEATH. I am so ready to read a kick-ass, 40+ woman, with a thriving career who is driven, put together, and not going to bed at 9:00pm every night with cats and The Great British Bake-Off on Netflix.

Besides that I felt almost no chemistry between the leads. I absolutely LOVED the first two books in this series, but this one just did not work for me.

Chelle needs a husband to keep the foundation she runs from being closed down and Nash needs to win a bet so they agree to a marriage of convenience. Chelle has a hard time letting anyone in. Her family has always belittled her and she is used to her quiet life. Nash always thinks he has to sort everything out for everyone whether they want it or not. He doesn’t really know how to be any other way, but he agrees to try during his temporary marriage. He helps her see how special she really is and she helps him to see he can have something just for him. They fall for each other, but neither wants to admit it, eventually they realise they can’t stay apart. There were fun moments in the book with lots of heat, but I disliked how much time was spent on her appearance . I know it was trying to show how those things are not negative, but I found it a bit off putting and for someone who was so controlling Nash gave in to Chelle pretty easily.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for sending me an e-arc of this book to read and review. This is the third one in the last man standing series and I absolutely adored it. Nash and Chelle are a great pairing and I love their individual traits in addition to them as a couple. This had marriage of convenience and fake marriage if you will, as well as a bit of an age gap, and it was an absolute delight. The banter was light and funny. I also loved that Chelle was a plus sized main character. This was exactly the type of lighthearted book I needed and I loved seeing the cameos from the other cousins as well. I loved the happy tied together ending and reading this was a blast!

This is a steamy and fun story about competing cousins and the last Christmas gift from there grandmother. The rules are clear go out with the first person to respond to their app profile for 6 dates and not fall in love. Nash is the oldest and he spends all his time taking care of his parents and siblings. He explains to everyone trying to solve all their problems. When his mom tells him about a woman who has a problem and needs help.. Nash goes to meet her and finds out in order to keep her family foundation per her fathers will she must get married. So in an effort to solve both their problems they decide to get married. Will they be able to keep from falling in love?
This is about two people always trying to help others. Will they help themselves? I enjoyed this story and the funny things that happen along the way.
Thank you to netgalley for complimentary copy.

This is the third and final book in the Last Man Standing series and I really enjoyed it a lot. I was excited to see what made Nash such a mystery. The relationship between Nash and Chelle was so much fun and a delight to read. Will be checking out more from this author right away

Nash and Chelle were so cute fun, I laughed out loud reading this book, it's the perfect mix of fun, sexy and sweet.

Nash and Chelle agree to a marriage of convenience to help each other out, but the marriage is only on paper, no sex, no fall in love and after a few months they are going to get divorced. But what neither of them expected is the attraction they start to have for each other, the sexual tension is off the charts, the slow burn, gahhh is everything, and finally boom, they give in to what they feel, and they start to fall in love with each other, and I loveee them so so much.

I love Chelle, she is so adorable with her pets, and Nash is the sweetest thing in the world, sexy, and so protective of his family, I love the easy relationship they have, their dialogues, how they connect to each other, the way they complement each other.

This is a light, steamy, cute and fun marriage of convenience, if you like romcoms this is perfect for you! I couldn’t put it down! So addictive! Highly recommended!

This was the first in the series that I've read so I didn't get to know the family dynamics and this cousin bet real well. I was able to follow along though.

Nash needs to win this bet- to not fall in love and be The Last Man Standing. Chelle needs to marry based on her father's will so she doesn't lose her foundation to a controlling uncle.
A marriage of convenience only needs to make it to New Years when they can get what they need and then divorce.

There were a lot of laugh out loud moments and a lot of spice (no sex rule- flies out the widow pretty soon). But just as these two fell for each other, I had fallen for them. So fun.

I didn't quite get the end, it seemed anticlimactic.

While this was a cute read, I had a difficult time trying to peg Nash. (Although being a 21st century guy, Nash did enjoy the occasional pegging!) Chelle kept referring to him as a puppy since he was always trying to please. Yet he is the CEO of a multi-national company where trying to please everyone doesn’t fly. I did like that Chelle was an older woman who wasn’t interested in having kids. She had her fur babies instead. Her misogynistic family members reminded me of my male family members! (Yes, misogyny does still exist.) I did appreciate how Nash dealt with them. The sexy times were steamy. I did enjoy this read but not as much as the previous books in this series.

This is a delightful read for those who enjoy the tropes - marriage of convenience and forced proximity. But the key feature is definitely plus sized heroine in her 40s and it is high time people accept this situation as normal as the typical heroines. Nash as the mansplainer was annoying for his behavior and on the other hand, it was endearing how he cannot stop himself from advising literally everyone. Chelle and Nash had amazing chemistry but I definitely liked Chelle as a character more than Nash. Overall, a fun and entertaining romcom with some cute scenes!

I love Avery Flynn. I love the marriages of convenience and fake-anything trope. Mansplainer was a great conclusion to the Last Man Standing trilogy. Nash falls for Chelle so quickly it's almost an insta-love scenario. But I think he was just attracted to her right away and once he got to know her, he fell for her. So it didn't really feel unbelievable, just quick. Chelle has some self-esteem issues that make her feel like she's not good enough for Nash, but she overcomes them by the end of the book (of course, she has to for their HEA). And the little bits we get of the rest of the family are just as fun as they were in the first two books. I would LOVE to see what's in store for the younger Beckett's!
