Listening in the Dark edited by actress and bestselling author, Amber Tamblyn, and features essays from inspiring women across the industries of literature, science, art, education, medicine, and politics. The theme of the book is all about trusting your gut and having only just started the book, it’s already inspiring me as I continue on my new path ahead.
As it's an anthology, I enjoyed some essays more than others. I really enjoyed the conversation between Amber Tamblyn and America Ferrera, which was such a welcome genuine moment between BFFs.
"Follow your arms, outstretched, to find the answer and the bravery to bring it to fruition."
This was actually a long title, I could actually see this being turned into a podcast ( if it isn't ). It was nice hearing from and receiving inspiration from their stories.
What a brilliant collection! This is a must-read for any woman. The stories and essays within this book are inspiring.
This was an excellent collection of essays from an eclectic group of writers. I enjoyed some essays more than others- specifically, I could have done without the section on dreams- but by and large it was fascinating. Reminded me of craigslist confessional. great overall!
