Great follow up to PAWS book before this one. I like the focus on friendship. The artwork was great. I can't wait to get this into my library.
New people put strains on Mindy's relationships -- both her PAWS and family dynamics are thrown off-kilter. Can she accept a new member in her dog-walking club? Can she get along with her mother's new boyfriend? For fans of the Babysitter's Club graphic novels who might prefer more animal antics.
Mindy's attitude is more than understandable, but her friends and family never let her get away with being cruel. Open and honest communication is the hero here. The illustrations and colors are fun and emotive, and the panel layout is clear. There's a fun energy to the work that makes reading it a breeze, and the memes and references in the writing will make it even more enjoyable for young readers.
This was another great installment of the PAWS series. I really liked all the real life issues that were tackled, along with the appealing characters and art style. I will recommend this to fans of the Babysitter's Club, as it is a very similar dynamic.

I received an electronic ARC from PENGUIN GROUP Penguin Young Readers Group through NetGalley.
PAWS story continues with Mindy struggling to accept changes in her life and friend group. Readers will connect with how she feels and relate to the struggle when family dynamics and friend groups shift. The artwork is fun to study and brings out the characters' emotions. I appreciate how Fairbairn showed Mindy taking ownership and resolving the conflicts. It was done in a mature manner. Looking forward to volume three.
