I absolutely love the Spark House series, and this book was the perfect conclusion to it!!

Harley is so sweet and caring, and I loved that this book was more than just Harley finding love. This book was about loss, but also of growth and healing. Harley never felt like she had as solid of a footing at Spark House as her sisters and I really loved that she finally stood up for herself and what she wanted.

As for Gavin, this man… his story breaks my heart. The loss he experienced on something that should have been one of the happiest days, seriously made my heart ache for him. But he is an amazing dad and I loved getting to see his relationship with Peyton and how sweet that little girl is. Watching him try to figure out how to really let Harley in was as heartwarming as it was a little heartbreaking at times.

These two are seriously perfect for each other. Harley was exactly what Gavin and Peyton needed and they for her. I adored every single thing about this story. And let me tell you, have the tissues ready because this one had me crying at the end!

4.2⭐️

it’s good, as her books always are. Just feels like it could be better? Or maybe that something was missing? But I loved the timeline with the other books in the series. And seeing a bit more of the Gran that was always talked about was nice. Plus I love a good single sad story, I mean seriously Harley is right. A good, caring, devoted dad—🔥🔥🔥

Also it makes me sad because he lost his wife in childbirth and I feel extra emotional about such things these days.

Hard-to-resist, perfect escapist fare, MAKE A WISH, is a lovely novel that's exquisitely tender, equally funny and touching. Ms. Hunting's story stars Harley Spark, whose family owns a prestigious hotel in Colorado. This is the third book in the Spark House series and Harley manages the social media, but her real passion is in child care and development. She is overseeing a birthday party, put on by Spark House, and spies a guy she adored many years ago. Oh my gosh, is it Gavin?

Gavin Rhodes is a widowed father with a young daughter who Harley nannied years ago. She almost kissed Gavin and then he moved to another state! Harley's life spun out of control after Gavin and Peyton left, leaving her heart in tatters. He is at the party with his nine-year-old daughter, and he is even more drop dead gorgeous now. Her traitorous heart is doing the tango! Will she get the chance to apologize?

Gavin spies heavenly Harley at the party and chitchats with her. He casually mentions they get together over lunch with Peyton, of course, and catch up on each other's lives. Harley isn't so sure she should. True to form, her past feelings for him reappear, as they spend lunch together. She thought she was so over him, but obviously not! She wonders what Gavin thinks of her? Actually, Gavin is seriously attracted to the brainy, motherly, beauty! Is it possible romance is in the air?

MAKE A WISH is a heartwarming, promising and engaging novel. This story is all about Harley, her education, hopes, dreams and fears. It explores compassion, family and love as Harley, her sisters and family are involved in Spark House's expansion. Harley spear heads social media tasks but loves being involved in childcare too. When Gavin and his daughter reenter her life, Harley is surprised to be given a do-over. Ms. Hunting delivers a beautifully scripted, uplifting story that will leave you in tears. I was moved incredibly by the warm sentiments and family values infused throughout. MAKE A WISH is beautiful, cozy and delightful. Indulge!

I've always been a fan of Helena Hunting's books and really enjoyed the third and final installment of the Spark House series.

Synopsis: The Spark sisters- London, Avery and Harley- own and run a boutique hotel in Colorado that has been in the family for generations. This story focuses on Harley, who has been managing the social media but whos real passion lies with child care and development. When hosting a birthday party at Spark House, she runs into Gavin, the father of the toddler she nannied for seven years prior, and his now 10-year-old daughter Peyton. With this reconnection, Harley's past feelings quickly resurface as Gavin opens her back up into their lives.

Thoughts: I was a big fan of Harley and Gavin's love story, all the secondary characters and the secondary plot of Harley's involvement in Spark House. As in most of HH's books, the writing felt light-hearted and uplifting even when some heavier topics were discussed.
