A fun, entertaining and in places hilarious read about two people who very slowly realise they love each other despite being opposites. I loved all the characters which made this a fun read and Edgar the dog and Bramley the butler and Bemmy the maid who caused most of the mayhem.. However I did find it a bit too slow with no real romance until the end, I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and all thoughts and opinions are my own. 3 stars for the romance 5 for the fun.

What a delightful book! Caroline is the oldest of nine and her father’s right hand man raising race horses. The Earl of Easton and Prinny lose a bet and as payment, offer a come out for Caroline at Brighton. The Earl of Easton’s wife is a stickler for time and rigid guidelines. Her nephew, Richard, lives life much the same way. Caroline and Richard butt heads but there is something else going on as well!
Such fun!

Another great addition to this fun series.
Stoic Lady Easton is going to help a young lady be launched into society. Unfortunately her husband decides for her and now she has to help Miss Caroline Upton, who seems a little horse crazy! Plus her launch will be in Brighton, not London!
Lady Easton pulls in her nephew to help her with Caroline. He holds himself dignified and does everything an should and then he meets Caroline!
A delightful humorous journey to romance with fantastic side characters, that brings a smile at the end!

The Undaunted is third in the Series of Worthy Young Ladies but certainly can be read as a stand-alone! In the series, group of society matrons, who are daughterless, each find a young lady who was unable to have a come out and take said young lady under their wing. But, in this book, it is one of the matron’s husbands who selects a young lady. She is so out of the norm and has been raised in an easy-going atmosphere, brought into a very strait-laced home and, thus, turns the Easton household upside down. She especially turns the Easton nephew upside down. Caroline and Lord Bertridge become the next couple in the romantic tales of ‘adopted’ unfortunate society ladies. You will love the wit and antics of Caroline and her maid, Bemmy, as this laugh out loud romance progresses.

This was my first Kate Archer book and I’m hooked! First of all: great name for a heroine. Miss Caroline Upton had my heart immediately. Usually it’s total hoyden or absolute innocent, but she was the most authentic character I read in a long time. I looooved all the characters! Bemmy had me laughing out loud for minutes and Bramley’s little intermissions set the tone perfectly.
This book ist the third in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. The Society of Sponsoring Ladies has successfully launched two ladies. Now it’s Lady Easton’s turn and her husband has organized for her to sponsor Miss Caroline Upton who is known to be very spirited. So Lady Easton gladly takes every help she can get, above all the support from her nephew Lord Bertridge. He is the most stickest stick of all (Caroline’s words not mine), but she can’t shake off this feeling that behind the stern fassade there may be a man worth knowing.
This book was absolutely wholesome and reminded me a lot of Georgette Heyer. If you like sweet historical romances with a lot of wit and great characters, you should definitely check this out.

Six highly placed matrons mourn their lack of daughters until they devise a scheme to launch eligible girls in need of assistance, and so The Society of Sponsoring Ladies is born.
Lady Easton had her plans well in hand before her unassuming husband suddenly decided to have ideas and opinions. Now, Lord Easton has decided she will sponsor Miss Caroline Upton & launch her in Brighton, of all places. Though she can get no explanation, it also appears that the Regent has somehow concerned himself with the girl’s future. Miss Caroline Upton is the eldest child of nine and favourite daughter of Baron Dunn. She has often accompanied her father to his horse races and she’s as comfortable in the stables with a cup of gin as she is in a drawing room with a cup of tea. In truth, she is rather more comfortable in the stables. Richard Camden, Earl of Bertridge, is in temperament rather similar to his aunt, Lady Easton. That is, he’s a bit of a stick himself. Though he’d much rather be headed toward the peace of his estate in Hertfordshire, his aunt has need of him. They are somehow to struggle through launching a young lady in Brighton.
This is the third debutante to be sponsored by the ladies & my favourite of the series so far. It was a fun, entertaining read, which often had me laughing out loud. I loved both Richard & Caroline, talk about opposites attracting! I also loved the secondary characters especially Bramley & Bemmy. Caroline is full of life having lived in a bustling household whereas Lady Easton is a stickler for time keeping & everything which is calm & proper, which of course led to some hilarious situations. A well written delightful read, I look forward to the rest of the series
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Highly Amusing!
At times I was chuckling out loud when reading this story and having to either choke off my amusement, or read passages out to explain my hilarity to those around me. So often books that are advertised as comedies either don’t raise even a smile from me, or come across as ridiculous. This was neither and not even advertised as a comedy, perhaps that is the best way, so then it is a delightful surprise.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a delightful romantic comedy! With the spirited heroine unsettling her stick-in-the-mud hero, an aunt and a butler obsessed with clocks (and pineapples), and a dozen other interfering characters, from maids to princes, there's never a dull moment in The Undaunted. I found myself grinning from ear to ear and cackling throughout, and I can't wait to get my hands on more of this series.

Once again The Society of Sponsoring Ladies take a young lady under their wing to launch into society. A horse race, bets, a sponsorship by Lord Easton and the Prince Regent, finds Caroline in the home of Lord and Lady Easton. Lord Easton has upset his wife revealing his opinions and ideas and decided they go to Brighton for Caroline's come out. Invited by his aunt to keep things proper, Richard, Lord Bertridge, finds Caroline nothing but trouble. She considers him, "the sickest sticky-stick-stick." With a little help from her maid Bemmy and Lord Easton, Caroline becomes the talk of Brighton. Lady Easton finds her time by the clock forever disrupted. Richard is all proper, but can't help his attraction to Caroline. They finally come to an agreement, Caroline will work to button up and Richard will try to button down. Witty dialog and hilarious situations lead to a delightful read. Love this series!
A clean romance.

Unconventional Caroline is to be brought out by opinionated and ridged Lady Easton. Her nephew Richard decides to step in to help when he sees the Prince Regent and his wild friends are interested in Caroline. Trying to protect her, Richard is dragged into several uncomfortable situations. Though opposites, Richard learns to become less of a stick in the mud as Caroline learns to look before she just leaps into a situation. A fun, hilarious, entertaining read – loved it!
The lady’s of society are at it again, this time the Countess of Easton’s husband had informed her who he wanted her to sponsor and it had to be done in Brighton where Prinny was for the Summer.
Caroline Upton had been brought up in a loving large family and often accompanied her father Baron Dunn to various places. Her father did not stand up on ceremony and most people including the lower staff knew him and Caroline by their first names. Caroline is surprised that she is being sponsored by Lady Easton and to do so in Brighton is quite unusual but she find out that both the Regent and Lord Easton had lost quite a bit of money to her father and this was their way of repaying some of it back.
In comes Richard the Earl of Bertridge who is a right stick in the mud just like his Aunt, Lady Easton. He has strong opinions on how a Lady should act and Caroline is not doing the right thing. Oh what fun, she gets sick of the Earl’s ways and starts to call him Bertie which irritates him no end.
Because of Richard’s younger years, he likes a quiet, calm life and meeting Caroline, life isn’t quiet! Until one day he realised that although she doesn’t conform to what he wants, he loves her and cannot be without her!
What a fun, entertaining and hilarious read about a stiff neck Earl (a stick) with lots of opinions like his Aunt. Two people who slowly realise they love each other despite being opposites. I loved all the characters which made this a fun read and Edgar the dog has a special place in my heart, Bramley who is like his mistress, had to have everything spot on and spot on time is hilarious.

I enjoyed this book as much as the first two in this series. The book can be read alone, but the other two really do help bring it all together.
There are wonderful characters and full of humor in this story. Not only the main characters, but the Butler's ideas and musings are some of the best. The Lady's maid had her own opinions. Lady Easton being a stickler for time and structure is a trial. Her nephew, Lord Richard Bertridge, was so very much the same until he met Caroline. Caroline was raised in more chaos than Richard could ever handle.
The book went along at a good, quick pace and was over before I realized it. The last chapter was a bit busy, more future information than expected.
