This was surprisingly a three part book with three separate stories, all focusing on the Southeastern and Southwestern US. The characters were real and believable. The setting was rural and small town, which was a delightful change from many books. The romances were very interesting and appropriately written about. If you enjoy romantic situations in small towns, you’ll definitely want to read this one!

A Chance Inheritance contains two wonderful Carolyn Brown stories. The first is about three cousins who inherit their grandmother’s bait shop and homestead. The inheritance also brings old friends and maybe a new romance. The Third Wish involves a woman who once upon a time found a bottle on a beach and pretended it was Aladdin’s lamp. One of her wishes came true almost immediately, but as the years passed it appeared the others were only pipe dreams…until one fateful day. One simply cannot go wrong choosing a Carolyn Brown book. Her characters become so real that you wish you could meet them in person. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.
