Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this advanced reader's copy and the opportunity to read this early. Review has been posted on Waterstones and Amazon.
I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
Cute designs with instructions on how to personalize the different projects and multiple ways to showcase your work.
I was unable to download the book due to an error, I tried multiple times with no luck. I look forward to purchasing the book.
A lovely book for new and seasoned cross stitchers with 20 pretty designs to create keepsakes to announce a new baby. A great gift for the cross stitchers in your life!
I thought that the instructions in this book were very clear and easy to follow. I have done a small amount of cross stitch but would still classify myself as a beginner and I was able to understand everything in this book. The fact that you get shown how to make the separate motifs which you can then incorporate into your own designs is really fun and I like that the book teaches you how to start designing your own patterns.
The designs are quite specific to having a baby and the style of them is very cutesy which is perfect for newborn accessories or pregnancy announcements however I don't know how versatile these designs would be for other purposes.
Overall if you or someone you know is expecting a baby this book would be perfect for making gifts.
A beautifully produced and photographed craft book with clear instructions -- everything about it makes it so inviting for anyone who is looking for a new project. Suitable for beginners and more experienced cross stitchers.

Great little chart collection of lovely modern designs to celebrate a new arrival.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me access to the book in exchange for my honest feedback.
This book was typical of the genera. The patters are for beginners, but what is nice is that there are lessons on changing up or adding to patterns to make the designs unique. Overall I liked the book but it will not become a staple on the subject.
I loved this book. I have done cross stitching most of my life, but I learned something new straight away (loop fastening at the start of a project). Perfect book for someone who is planning to create a personalised cross stitch project for a new baby. The tips are useful for any personalised projects, but the pictures are most suitable for young children. Useful different alphabet suggestions makes it even easier to make the next cross stitch project your own.
Really good book with some really cute patterns to put in a nursery for a newborn or to gift to expecting parents
This is a bit too cutesy for my personal taste. However if you are new to stitching and want a place to jump start off of then any of the "Celebrations" series will be a solid choice. This one is for new arrivals to the family and celebrates babies. With very cute and pastel influenced patterns. All in full colour with great instructions.
Though it's looking unlikely that I'll ever be having any grandbambinos for whom to create beautiful treasures, I still enjoy looking at books filled with things I could make for them.
This book offers some lovely projects, featuring popular baby-friendly critters: bunnies, elephants, duckies, and cute dinosaurs. There are also borders and alphabets to personalize your creations. The author provides loads of instructions for getting started, and also finishing your project, so this would be a great book for beginners. Charts are in color, and very easy to follow.
In all, a good book, though I wish it had been longer.
I’m a new cross stitcher so I was really excited to get to review this book. I thought the charts and how to customize each were well presented. All of them are doable from a beginner’s perspective. I love the encouraging language that makes customizing less intimidating. I can’t wait to make the duckling for a friend who recently had a baby girl. Thanks, NetGalley for Cross Stitch Celebrations: Bundle of Joy!! It’s a bundle of joy to read.
Thank you so much for the advanced copy!
I absolutely ADORE cross stitch and am always looking for new and fun patterns to bring to life. From the cover of this book I knew I had to take a peek inside and It was just as great as I thought it would be!
The patterns provided are super cute and easy to follow along with and all of the provided descriptions and tricks were super helpful. The pictures are very clear and there are some really great closeups for visual learners. I loved it!
Thank you so much for allowing me to read and review your titles. I really not the opportunity!
I do appreciate it and continue to review books that I get the chance to read.
Thanks again!
Beautiful book of Cross stitch. Ideal for beginners and experienced stitchers.
The pictures are bright and clear. I have cross stitch for many years and there are some great hints and tips that I have picked up from reading this book. Great find, thanks to NetGalley for this copy
An adorable collection of animal patterns for children & babies. Includes references on how to create your own designs, including patterns for boarders.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the an ARC of "Cross Stitch Celebrations: Bundle of Joy!" by Mollie Johanson. I am an avid, life-long cross-stitcher who has waxed and waned over the years with how many projects I am working on. I really got back into it during the pandemic. I also got pregnant and completed a few cross stitches for my baby's nursery off of patterns on Etsy. I now have a pregnant coworker and this book came along just in time for me to try out some new patterns.
I like that the book provides an introduction to cross stitch and what materials you will need. As a first timer, I imagine this would be extremely helpful before beginning a project. Overall the projects are what I would consider to be beginner level. One of my favorite things in the book is the border options and alphabet(s). I am always looking for a good alphabet to use for projects and this will now a guide for me.
Overall I think this is a great, introductory level pattern book and I look forward to working my way through it.
Super cute and totally customizable! This is definitely definitive enough for a cross stitch beginner. The page layout is really pleasing and not at all overwhelming like some cross stitch books can be. Would definitely buy this :)
