A great summer read - 3.75 stars.

I think I liked it so much as I love camper vans and I want to go on a camper adventure 😂

If you're looking for a cute read while you're in a slump, this is for you. 💘

A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
This light, pleasant, clean read is perfect for the summer. Adira has tired of a busy London life and incredibly managed to save enough money to take a gap year travelling in a camper van. She finds a gentle way of life in a beautiful country setting to take her first break and the story develops from there. It is rather predictable but enjoyable nonetheless. I did find the language a little stilted at times, I didn't like the American spellings which appeared on occasion and some of the writing showed a lack of continuity, e.g. how did Adira have tanned skin so soon after finishing her job in London where she had little free time to lie in the sun? If you enjoy a simple, light read this book will please you!

Loved this book - the setting was adorable and cosy, perfect for a summer read.

This is my first book from this author and I will definitely be looking out for more from her in the future.

I read a lot of books in this genre. Sometimes (very rarely), I come across books that work for the majority of the population and not for me. If you look at the ratings for this book, you will know what I mean.
We have multiple separate voices here. The central figure is Adira. She has quit her high-paying job, a career that her mother, rather than her own interest, pushed her into. She sets off on an adventure in her camper van but does not get far. She ends up stranded in Lilacwell on another's property. Jasper is the heir to the Laurels, and he does not trust this stranger or his attraction to her. He, too, has paused his high-flying job to be here to take care of his uncle. There are several other pieces to the story. There is a secret and just plain discovery in the area - One for Jasper and another for Adira.
I found the concept good but somehow failed to connect to the people or their grievances. Some styles of narration work better for me than others, and this time I struggled with the connection I wanted. I have wept with books like this before, but I think I would still recommend this to fans of this genre! I believe there is another book in the works for this location, so whoever likes this will have more to explore in Lilacwell, and that's always a good thing.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

Adria Summers has had enough of her job as a high flying barrister in London. She dreams of freedom and spontaneously quits her job to drive around England in a campervan.

When her van breaks down outside the little village of Lilacwell it seems like fate is stepping in.

A lovely romance.

Adira has always done what her mother expected and now, as a barrister she is feeling stuck and unhappy. Then her beloved grandmother shows her an ad for a used campervan which sets her off on a 'gap year" to rediscover who she is. Jasper is living and working in Dubai but worried about his elderly Uncle and how he is coping so takes a trip back home to check on him. When Adira and Jasper cross paths, exciting ventures take place in more ways than one.
I really enjoyed this read. The characters were all likable (execpt for one) and I could visualize the setting of Lilacwell. A great storyline and an easy read made for a great novel.

Overall, I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars. I was planning to give it a four but thinking back, I skimmed some paragraphs since, again, they were too long and some details are unnecessary. And again, I wish there is more to that conflict and ending.

If you are looking for something cozy and romantic with little to no conflict, I think you would enjoy this book.

A great book with interesting characters. When Adira buys a campervan on the advice of her Gran, she gives up her stressful life as a barrister and drives North to find herself in a beautiful village, Lilacwell. There she meets some Interesting people who give her the incentive to readjust her life. A great feel good book but the story I felt ended too abruptly. I hope there is another the follows soon as there were a few threads I wanted tied up. Thank you for allowing me to review.

This is story about Adira who is unhappy and decided to take the move by leaving her life and job behind and embark in an adventure. Adira is at the stage where she need time to review her priorities and what she want in her life. Jasper is determine to keep a close eye on Adira but as they get thrown together, Jasper began to find she is just what he needs in his life.

Escape to Lilacwell is the multivoice story. There is Adira a barrister who decide to quit her job for 1 year to travel with a van. Direction Scotland.
There is the 85 years old Fletcher who hurts himself.
We will meet Zara a young PA and her boss Jasper.
But we will meet to Cassie, Lily, Evie, Roddy....
How all this people will interfere, I let you rush for this book and discover by yourself, but if you like small town ambiance, this book won't disappoint you.

Really enjoyed this book. Adira buys a campervan on the advice of her grandmother. She decides she is going on a tour of the uk. She setlles in a lovely place called Lilacwell and parks up next to a river that she doesnt realise belongs to a stately home. The eccentric owner allows her to stay as long as she becomes his housekeeper for a while and she forges a life for herself.

Good story and i really liked the relationship between Adira and Jaspers uncle.

A quick and easy read that I found myself picking up after a long day to unwind. The characters are beautifully written and I came to love them within the first few pages and was rooting for them all the way to the end. At times I wanted to stop reading because I just wanted the experience to go on for longer.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Adira Summers has spontaneously quit her high-flying career as a barrister in London. She needs to escape from the rat race and, encouraged by her bohemian gran, has bought a campervan to do so.

Taking off for a tour around Britain, disaster strikes early on when her van breaks down outside the quaint village of Lilacwell. But things look up after she meets handsome Jasper, who is visiting to check on his ailing uncle and his crumbling estate, The Laurels.

As Adira falls for Lilacwell, she is torn between forgoing her travel plans to stay, or continuing with her adventure. Jasper must also choose between returning to his job in Dubai or moving back for his uncle – and Adira.
Remarkable concept and impeccable execution from start to the end. Every single page gives a full-throttle effect.
