I was very surprised at how good this book turned out to be. It is for sure a very exciting read. I can’t wait till this author’s next one.

Nope. Didn't do it for me. I've read every book this author has written and this one was a disappointment. Not that it was the worst I've read, but most definitely, not what I expect from T.R. Ragan. While her other books drew me in from the beginning and kept my interest until the end, this one was slow to start and predictable. It was hard to like or root for any of the characters. I finished it to finish it. Can't win them all. I'm curious to see what she comes out with next.

Thank you #netgalley and #thomas&mercer for the eARC.

Do you love the kind of thriller where someone insinuates themselves into another life for the nefarious purpose of wreaking havoc? I do, and this one didn't disappoint.

If something seems too good to be true, aka, Jane and her job offer, it probably is but thank goodness Nora hasn't heard the old adage.

Her son, Trevor, though? Love that kid!

Thank you to the publisher for gifting me a copy. It was my pleasure to write an honest review.

The thing with T.R. Ragan’s stories is that it gradually grows on you, until you can’t help but finish the book in one sitting, I really like her writing style.

Nora is happily married to Dave with two beautiful teenage children Haley and Trevor. On the recent traditional family Molly holiday Trevor was in a terrible drowning accident that causes him to fear more than he already did. Despite being 13 he was scared of the dark but now he scared of water as well. Soon Nora is contacted by a woman named Jane who seems desperate to hire her for her new company. When Nora seems hesitant Jane throws in all kinds of perks and even says she’ll double Nora‘s salary and makes it to where Nora cannot say no. Once she starts working for Jane however it seems every time Nora turns around Jane is putting herself right in the middle of Norris family business. She offered to pick Haley up from cheer and when she did took her on a shopping excursion at Nordstrom‘s but when Jane makes plans for her and Nora to be in Paris for Thanksgiving week and Jane doesn’t go this is almost the final straw. Because not only did Jane not show up in Paris but lied about why and was with Nora‘s family every day even on Thanksgiving. Since meeting Jane Norris relationship with her daughter has changed but worst of all the trust she had with her husband has changed as well. she hasn’t won everyone over though because Trevor gets a feeling from Jane he just can’t wash away but is it his overwhelming fear of things or is it right about Jane Bing more sinister than she shows on the surface? Can Nora get her family away from Jane in time to save her family or is there something more Jane wants besides Nora‘s lovely family? This book was pretty good and although I figured out what was happening it was still an intense read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved Trevor and definitely loved the ending it really was a great read. I received this Brooke from net Galli and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily. Please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

I gotta say, I love these books where a new woman comes in, befriends a successful woman, and then all hell breaks loose! The relationship between the two women always is so interesting with me, as is the layered obsession. Some of this book dragged on but honestly, still would recommend!

Such a Beautiful Family was a little hard to get into. I had to step away and then try to pick it back up... not gripping like most of her books are. Not a big fan of this story line about Nora and her family. Thank you NetGalley for the advance review.

Another good psychological thriller. Was slightly predictable but not too much. I still enjoyed it and I love psychological thrillers. I think it is hard now finding one that is really unique and not a cookie cutter of all the other psychological thrillers out there.
Still enjoyed it and still would recommend it as well.

3.5 stars rounded down. While this book was an okay read, I felt like I have read the exact same book many other times...characters A sees character B with a perfect life, character A begins to insinuate herself into character B's life, character B notices but her family and friends gaslight her every time she mentions it, etc. You get the picture, I'm sure. But there's more. Character A wants this life so she can destroy it from the inside out because of some actual or perceived wrong Character B committed.

Nora is character B in this story, and there were many times her actions made me roll my eyes and sigh out loud. I don't like doormats as characters, and she was one of the biggest I have encountered lately. Jane, character A, is almost a caricature; even Nora's dog doesn't like her.

I had no trouble with the pacing of the plot, but I wanted more. The twists were all predictable and the characters needed more development so the reader would have someone to root for. Despite these flaws, this was an easy read, and I thank NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read an early copy. Publishes December 6, 2022.

Such a beautiful family is an exciting psychological thriller that was impossible to put down. Nora has an amazing life, two great kids, an amazing husband, and a good career. However, she cannot refuse the offer from Jane of a new job that seems perfect. Seemingly, Jane is a wonderful boss and is becoming a friend. Is Jane as kind as she seems as she is integrating herself fully into Nora’s life, trying to take Nora’s place. I wish that the ending would have been a little less obvious, as I was able to guess what would transpire. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would read more from this author. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance review copy in exchange for my honest review.

Such a Beautiful Family

The prologue is about a young girl who is drugged at a party, and has a head on collision with another car.

Nora is married to David and even after 17 years of marriage is incredibly happy. She has two children, Hailey, a confident 15 year old, and 13 year old Trevor who is troubled, and has a few phobias.

Nora is offered an incredible job by Jane, which offers more money, and more time to spend with her family.

Slowly, Jane seems to take over Nora's family, cosying up to David, and winning Hailey over with expensive gifts. Only Trevor is suspicious of this stranger who is desperate to become part of their family.

Nora becomes jealous and protective and resigns from her dream job to get away from Jane, but Jane refuses to take no for an answer.

I read this book in one sitting, it grabbed my attention and kept me turning the pages 'for just one more chapter'. I eventually finished at 3am!
I loved the story, although I did figure out who Jane was, early in the novel, but it did not detract from the enjoyment of the book.
I liked most of the characters, barring Jane, and Hailey irritated me quite a bit, with her worship of Jane. But I really liked Trevor, he has so many fears, but came through in the end for his family.

I can definitely recommend this book if you want a quick easy, but rivetting read.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love a good psychological thriller. This one is a quick read and action packed. The hardest part to get over is how the characters got into the situations they were in. So many red flags!

Nora Harmon has wonderful family and job she enjoys but that is about to unravel. Things start happening she can't explain starting with a new job offer. It's perfect but why is she hesitant?
Her new boss Jane is about to plant herself into Nora's family with near devastating results, but why?
Who is Jane and what is she after?
As this unfolds Nora is quickly reminded of her youth that she's tried to keep at arms length for so long. It's all about to come crashing down around her.
Will she be able to hold on to what she loves most?

What a twisty psychological story this is. Hold on tight.

This is the first book I have read by T.R. Ragan and I must first say, as a long time psychological thriller reader, I was pleasantly surprised! I give this a solid 3.5 stars, only because I guessed parts of the plot early on, rounded up to 4 stars, due mostly to the solid pace of the story. The thrills and action kept me interested and coming back to find out what happened.
Nora has the perfect family and a great job. She decides to leave her job for a dream career with Jane Bell as her boss. The new job almost seems too good to be true but Jane won’t take no for an answer.
Soon, Jane becomes more like a friend than a boss to Nora and boundaries begin to blur.
Nora’s perfect life begins to crumble, and she begins to wonder is Jane really just a lonely women looking for a family, or is she after something more?
I really enjoyed this story, but at times I found the characters of Nora and Jane to be a bit annoying. No spoilers, they just did some far fetched things and I wanted Nora to take control of her life sooner that she did.
Also, the husband David was oblivious. He allowed things to go to far, in my opinion. My favorite character was the son, Trevor. His secondary storyline was great and redeeming.
Thank you to NetGalley, Thomas & Mercer, and T.R. Ragan for providing me a Digital Review Copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was a great book. I loved every paragraph, every sentence and every word of this masterpiece! I read it in 12 hours, which is a lot for me to do! It had everything and more laid out in the novel! I sure hope she writes more! I am totally hooked!

Thank you so much for the ARC! Domestic noirs/thrillers are my absolute favorite.
Perfect life? Not quite so…appearances always lie. Secrets over secrets. Just like bad things can be a blessing in disguise so can good things be a nightmare in disguise. This author nailed it!

I’ve been a fan of this author for a long while but I have to say this was not my favorite. It was still a entertaining quick story if not predictable.

Not really sure why nobody could see what was going on except Nora. Crazy has a way of hiding itself from everyone I guess.

Immersive Domestic Noir…
Perfect lives, perfect families and plenty of hidden secrets in this immersive domestic noir with twists aplenty. Nora Harmon knows that she has much to be grateful for and when Jane Bell decides that she wants Nora on her team at work, life couldn’t be better. Could it? Things are about to take a dark turn as all professional boundaries begin to blur. Enjoyable suspense with a menacing undercurrent, a gradual ramp of tension and a well crafted cast.

Nora has a good life a happy marriage and two lovely children, she gets headhunted by Jane Bell she offers more money for less time giving Nora the chance to spend more time with ger family. It sounds to good to be true but Jane won't take no for an answer so Nora accepts.
Jane starts to act more like Nora's best friend than her boss making her feel uncomfortable, she turns up at Noras home unexpectedly being over friendly with her husband and daughter.
Maybe she's just lonely wanting to be loved, maybe Nora is paranoid maybe she's not.
This was a brilliant read keeping me on the edge of my seat,a fast paced story I could'nt put down.
T.R Ragan is fast becoming one of my favourite authors
