People with a serious interest in learning the art of origami will find this book a fabulous resource. Beginning with simple figures in which each fold is meticulously explained in step-by-step instruction, drawings and photography of the completed figure, this book offers the best opportunity to learn the craft. There is even a website offered that has each fold demonstrated for the reader to follow in a video. The author give easy instructions on how to make practice paper from normal printer paper before using the more expensive origami paper. Each different fold is represented by a symbol on an instruction sheet. The author introduces each corresponding symbol when it is encountered in the figure. There is a list of the symbols and the page number its instructions are on in the back of the book. This information is also listed on a removeable bookmark that can be used to mark the symbol as you need it. This is an excellent instructional book.

Thank you NetGalley, Quatro Publishing Group and Carri Hammett for letting me read Super Easy Origami for Beginners for an honest review.

During the pandemic I´ve started trying to do some Origami, mostly animal shapes for my daughter. I'm able to follow videos with basic folds but get completely lost when they start to be more challenging. Additionally, I wanted to be able to follow instructions with symbols as it would be much easier than watching videos.
Due to that, I wanted to find a beginner’s guide to Origami to learn different folds (and memorize them) and this is it.

This book teaches many folds, in a progressive and clear way, which allows us to remain interested in the process. Some of the shapes are still quite difficult for me but it is nothing I won’t be able to achieve with practice.

This is a very practical and interesting guide to Origami.

This book was really fun to try and do. I grab some paper and fall along with the instructions and it was a great time. The instructions make everything really simple and everything is very clearly marked. There are also a bunch of creative and fun animals and figures that you are able to make. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fun project to start.

Thank you NetGalley, Quatro Publishing Group and Carri Hammett for providing my copy. I am grateful but my thoughts are my own.

I thought we all familiar with origami since young age, remember those famous crane? But I realized that eventually i can do easily with following video or copy someone when did it, but follow it from diagram is different story.
This book help me to get through that problem. All basic instructions is easy to understand. The author provides reader with alot illustration and step by step pictures. Some projects super easy but plenty I am sure not beginner friendly.
This book will become good collection for family activities inspiration or classroom library.

Ok some of these are hard but I have currently mastered a baby seal so that’s progress. This is a great book if you want to learn a new skill and I now have something to do with all my used postits.

3,5 ⭐️

I always wanted to learn how to fold Origami. I learned some simple techniques in Japan, but forgot them all. I have two left hands and always found it difficult to follow the directions as they tend to get really confusing. That is why I wanted to read this guide. One more try of me trying to learn how to do it before I admit defeat.

So let us talk about what this book is going to teach us:

I had a look at the different shapes. They start fairly easy. Like the Kite and the Penguin. I could keep up with these. Small success! When you flip to the end of the book, they do get quite challenging I think.

We go through some folding technique symbols. Fairly simple. The pictures are sufficiently big and easy to follow. You can clearly see what you’re supposed to do.

The author shows us the materials we need and how to cut practicing paper, not too bad of a tip, before you get too excited and waste your pretty paper trying. Because as simple as the book makes it look, you’re going to need some trying. They also tell you about the trouble you might run into and how to avoid it.
I found that I could follow the instructions very easily and comprehend them. They were very clear, about what to fold, where to press and also on. I appreciate that a lot. That did not mean that my fingers were on board with the mission. 😂

On the way we learn about tips and tricks and are giving ideas what to do with the results.
I especially liked that the colours used are clear and make it easy to follow. But please don’t let yourself get fooled. “The Hungry Fawn” is not what i would call a beginners shape 😂 But what would life be without a challenge.

The book is practical. I do find the outlook appealing, because it does not distract from the main goal. It is a well rounded book with some good tips and ideas. The shapes were pretty interesting as well. Well done!
I am basing my rating more on the content than the outlook of the book.

What a fantastic book to use as an introduction to origami. Being a complete beginner, I didn’t really know what to expect. This book covers all the basics of paper folding and walks you through progressively harder paper shapes as you work your way through the book.. It has a clever system of symbols, which are all explained and modelled - more are introduced as you progress through the book. Each paper craft has very clear instructions to help guide you through, step by step. Each one also has lots of accompanying diagrams of each stage, so you know exactly what you’re aiming for.

Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group – Quarry and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review.
