It's not my first Tee O'Fallon book so I already knew I was going to have a great time!
I love the whole K-9 thing. How all these men are such a well-coordinated team and how the dogs play such an important role throughout the book.
As usual, the combination between romance and suspense was so nicely done. I've never felt like one thing drowned out the other. The perfect balance for me.
Perhaps what's keeping me from rating it higher is regarding the final drama between the couple. I do understand where they are coming from but I just wasn't a big fan.
But, all in all, they were amazing together. And let me tell you, the sex scenes were really really hot.

When you think the last book of the series was the best, this talented author changes your mid as she delivers another outstanding story filled with heart and honor.
This time the story belongs to DHS K-9 Officer Kade Sampson.
Almost six years ago, Kade met the woman that in a short time stole his heart and then broke it when he realizes she had given her promise to someone else, his brother.
Two years after his brother’s death, Kade has kept his distance but when Laia Velez, his sister-in-law, calls him for help, Kade drops everything to help her.
The attraction is still there, even more intense, but Laia’s and her daughter’s, Rosa lives are in danger. Keeping them safe is his first priority.
In this action packed story, we feel the internal struggles of these characters. The need to do the right thing, honor the family, but also search for happiness. A reminder that life is not white and black, but variations of gray.
The obstacles are immense, and when things seem to be going their way, another more intense danger puts everyone’s life in danger.
Will they survive the danger? If they do, will they find their HEA, or will the past always be in the way?
It was wonderful to see the support of the brotherhood of his K-9 officer friends. Some whom we have met in previous books.
All in all another winner and one that leaves this reader anxious for the next book in the series. Will it be Jamie’s?
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Wow! I so love this K9 series from Tee O'Fallon. If you like romantic suspense, then you definitely need to read this series. This book was a terrific read in my opinion and I would highly recommend it. The story between Laia and Kade had the right amount of balance between action and steam. While it's book 6, it's certainly a standalone. I also liked how she incorporated characters from her previous books in this one as well. I received an advanced reader copy and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

This 6th book in the Federal K-9 can easily be read as a standalone.

I loved the premise of this book! A bit of a second chance, a bit of love at first sight, a bit of the forbidden trope and a good dose of suspense. And don't forget the GUILT! Add in a precocious 5-year-old and K-9 partner that loves kids and you can overdose on doggy/child goodness.

Laia and Kade have an instant attraction but circumstance, duty and honour take their lives on different winding paths. But Kade steps in when his brother's widow and daughter are in danger. The question is if these two can learn to trust in each other, but also in the connection that they have. The slight forbidden nature of the relationship did not feel dirty or uncomfortable and was dealt with well.

Both Laia and Kade grew as characters in the time they have been separated and more so as a team working to make Laia and Rosa safe from the threat still hanging around even after Kade's brother's death. The connection between the two does give a good heat level to the story.

Unfortunately, Laia lost faith too soon in her and Kade's relationship and I never felt as if she grovelled/atoned for this. In actual fact, Kade made more of an attempt, both through internal dialogue as well as action, to make up for his one misstep. A misstep, realist that I am, I did not feel was outside of character or even a misstep at all. Except for this slight TSTL moment in the book, I did enjoy the story and rooted for the HEA of the characters.

Oh my heart be still!
This book checks all my boxes for a great romantic suspense: wonderful characters, tight plot, romance, and nail-biting suspense.
Tee O'Fallon has become one of my go-to authors in this genre. In Honor 'N' Duty, we read about Laia and Kade. A drug kingpin has zeroed in on Laia wanting her dead husband's ledger, a ledger which contains the location of $20 million dollars of drug money. As danger approaches, it is up to Kade to protect this woman and her child - his dead brother's family.
I absolutely loved this book!
5 stars

Smart, suspenseful, and oh so sexy, Honor ‘N’ Duty is a page-turner from start to finish.

Real talk: I was more than a little nervous going into this book for a couple of reasons. One, I’ve loved Kade since the start of this series. (Is it just me who finds a secondary character and fixates on them? Because I definitely singled out Kade early on and have been waiting for his book for a while now.) And two, the “falling for my brother’s girl” angle put it squarely in this I’m not sure my heart can take this category. The potential for angst = high. My ability to handle angst = low.

And yet, from the moment I opened Honor ‘N’ Duty, I was hooked. From their elevator meet-cute to the high-tension ride to her rescue and beyond, I was all in for Kade and Laia—and sweet little Rosa. Their action-packed story was rife with nail- and lip-biting moments; if I wasn’t on the edge of my seat trying to find the clues and solve the mystery, I was urging these two to find a way over and around their obstacles so they could finally be together.

Tee O’Fallon is a fantastic writer, and she expertly guided this story through the landmines of the past to make it all but impossible not to root for a well-deserved—and much needed—happily ever after. Not only that, she did it while building suspense and laying red herrings that made me think I had it all worked out one minute, then second-guessing myself the next.

The addition of Kade’s K-9 friends, who we’ve met in both this series and the spin-off, added another layer of excitement to the story (because all those dogs! And handsome federal agents! And hints about what might be coming!) and ensured that I will not only be back for more romantic suspense from one of my absolute favorite authors, but I’ll be practically champing at the bit to get it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Tee O'Fallon writes an amazing series full of rich characters and believable stories. I always enjoy reading her books and have to force myself to turn out the light at night. Fair warning a binge read of her books is in your future.

An exciting, excellent read. So much drama and mystery, rolled into a “seat of your pants” adventure and the K-9 addition makes the story pop. My only “con” is that Kade, will need substantial dental work by the end of the story. lol. Grab this newest read, a definite vacation must have.

Wow! Fast-paced action, mystery, heat/chemistry, cute kid and dogs!

Laia and Kade have history...40 minutes worth. They were locked in a stalled elevator for that long until it was repaired, then upon exiting, Kade learned that Laia is engaged to his brother Josh. His brother who later embezzled from a cartel and got sent to jail, where he was killed.

Fast forward, that cartel is out to get what Josh took, so Laia and her daughter Rosa are targets. Desperate, Laia reaches out to Kade for help. Kade and his K-9 Smoke jump in to help, using their law enforcement training. Kade and Laia also start to explore their connection. There are more twists but I don't want to spoil it.

This is the 6th book in the series, but is definitely also a stand-alone. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series so I can continue to follow this team in action!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Honor ‘N’ Duty is the sixth addition to Tee O’Fallon’s amazing Federal K-9 series. It is an action packed, romantic suspense novel involving law enforcement and their K-9 partners. The storyline is fantastic and well written while the connection and chemistry between the characters keeps the reader wanting more. I couldn’t put the book down.

I loved Kade Sampson and Laia Velez together. It was love at first sight, but honour, duty and secrets kept them apart, until fate brought them together again. Now they must work together to uncover the truth and protect Rosa, Laia’s daughter and Kade’s niece from her father’s deadly mistakes with a drug cartel. Kade couldn’t save his brother, but Will he and his K-9 partner, Smoke run out of time to find and save the women he loves? Read it and find out!

Books in this series can be read as a standalone, but they are best enjoyed when read in order as O’Fallon often links characters and storylines from the previous books. I can’t wait for the next book! I really hope Jamie and Jazz story is coming soon!

This is a voluntary review of a reader’s advance copy received from Netgalley.

This was another thrilling read by this talented author, so much so it was almost instantly was a certainty for my top reads list.
From cover to cover of this page turning read you'll be unable to look away.
Both main characters endured years of heart breaking pain for similar but also different reasons.
If they don't steal your pounding heart, the secondary characters definitely will. Both furry and pint sized.
Can't wait to see what the author comes up with next.

Kade literally runs into Laia as they are getting onto an elevator, he is immediately entranced by how lovely she is. They end up stuck in the elevator when it breaks down between floors and as he tries to keep her calm he realizes this is someone he would really like to go get to know better. Unfortunately we quickly find out that its not possible and the story takes off from their. Very enjoyable story, lost love, bad guys, heart ache and DOGS LOTS OF DOGS. This entire series has been great and Tee O'Fallon always spins a wonderful intriguing story. Can't wait for the next one.

This book has so much suspense, angst, mystery and heat! I loved Smoke and Rosa. Nothing better than dogs and little kids in a romance book. Laia and Kade had so much chemistry together. The writing is wonderful and I loved seeing the characters from other books. I look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

I’m loving these Federal K9s. We’re on the sixth book of these interconnected series, and just to ensure we get even more of a doggy fix, we always get an assist from one or more of the previous pooches. Honor ‘N’ Duty sees Homeland security officers Kade Sampson and his partner Smoke trying to protect both his sister in law and niece from the drug lord who had his brother killed. They’re against the clock as the odds are stacked against them. There’s also the added complication of their attraction to each other, something they’ve been fighting for a few years. Lots of action, intrigue and drama as the story unfolds. Truly wonderful characters, Kade is the perfect hero, the perfect gentlemen and the perfect uncle to Laia’s daughter Rosa, who by the way is adorable. An entertaining, addictive and sexy romance. Highly enjoyable. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

I love this Author and K-9 series. A connection was made only to be suppressed by circumstances they have no control over.

Years later they see each other again and the suspense in the story will make you not want to put the book down.

Cartel ties, prison releases, kidnapping all will keep you on the edge of your seat. Rosa and Smoke are pretty special too.

Intrigue - suspense - mobsters - and hey, dogs, loyalty and a bit of romance. Love that the dogs are main characters! Strong story that keeps things moving, and who can resist a group of super hot guys who love their dogs.

This is a wonderful addition to the K9 series and I couldn't wait to read as this is one of my favourite series I mean what's not to love all alpha males with gorgeous sidekicks of the canine persuasion its got everything a girl could want. This is the story of Kade Sampson he is a homeland security K9 officer still feeling guilt over the death of his brother who was killed by a fellow inmate after been incarcerated after Kade arrested him for laundering drug money for the cartel He has always had feelings for his SIL Laia Velez and luckily she never realised he was the one that caused her husband to be arrested but now she and her daughter are in danger her husbands ledger was never found and someone wants it. Can he keep Laia and Rosa safe and what happens when he finds that Laia has feelings for him as well Will they all survive and can they have a future You will have to read to see

This is my first book of the series, but have no fear. You won’t be lost if this is your first foray into the series either. Relationships, friendships, and past events are all clearly explained without bashing the reader over the head here. And the misery that both Laia and Kade endure over an unwanted love that’s thought to be unrequited by the other is all too heartbreaking for a little bit. But then? Oh, then the danger really makes itself known. And the twists to the end of the road have a bunch of false turns and switchbacks to watch out for along the way.

Laia and Kade both had a lot of guilt to get past, and they lacked the trust in their situation to believe that maybe, just maybe, this is real and not the product of grief of loneliness or simply danger. But neither was willing to give up hope entirely, which worked when one was losing faith and the other was gaining it. And finding that the reason they’d stayed apart was also the thing drawing them back together, with one final apology and blessing, made all of the secrets finally come out. I loved that Laia kept her head when some particularly painful ones were exposed and didn’t rush away from the love she deserved with Kade, and I loved that Kade felt the same need to do anything necessary to save the day. Luckily, these two make it through in the end, but I’m wondering about Jamie now. I’m pretty sure he’s got quite the tale to tell.

A five-star read that will bite back, if Smoke has his way and finds you’ve been naughty that is. This is number six in the Federal K-9 series, and they all tell us the story of a different K-9 and the man they support, they do pop up in each other’s stories as they are a supportive team across all boards, but you can read them as stand-alone if you want. Laia has been through so much, she just wants to move on and make a life for her and Rosa, but sadly some people just don’t want that to happen, but if Smoke has anything to do about it, him and Kade will do anything they can to make sure she does, as the bond Smoke shares with Rosa, is like pineapple on pizza, just meant to be.
