I loved this book! The evil twin, enemies to lovers, Not Tina trope had me laughing out loud. Told from the perspective of Naomi and Knox, we read and watch how these two learn to open up to others. Throw in Nash, Lucien and a town of people who not only love gossip, but are fiercely protective of each other, along with a rambunctious pre-teen called Waylay, you have the summer read of the year! As I was reading, I HOPING there would be a sequel, or that this would be a series and come to learn YES it is! Definitely one of the best beach reads I have read in a while! This is an adult read, not one for school libraries

#netgalleyarc I wanted to like this book, I really did. I’ve seen it all over #Booktok and everyone raved about it but I just couldn’t get into it. I’ve read plenty of other titles with similar character styles and plots but this one just didn’t do it for me.

I don’t think that I was the right reader for this book, because I did not really enjoy many of the tropes it used and I thought that a lot of things in the plot were not explained enough or did not make sense to me. I really liked Waylay’s character and the setting of the small town where everyone knows everyone and protects its own, but I was never completely satisfied with Naomi’s reactions to what got thrown her way or why she made the decisions that she did especially surrounding Knox. I thought that the second epilogue was a bit unnecessary especially since the author was trying to not make it obvious who the future books’ couples are but that just made the writing very awkward and unnatural. I had a lot of problems with Knox’s character and how controlling he was but I am certain that that comes back to the fact that I was not the right reader for this book; I am sure that for the right reader, this book would be enjoyed much more!

This is the first Lucy Score book I've read. The book has emotional depth, more wisdom, more humour, more likeable characters and hot but flawed guys. There is a whole cast of great secondary characters and I hope there are follow up books about mysterious Lucian (Lucy) and whatever is going on with sassy Librarian Sloane and about Knox's brother Nash. Naomi's 11 year old niece has had a difficult childhood with her mum, Tina (the evil twin). But she has turned out likeable, smart, mature and funny. The relationship between her and her Aunt Naomi (the good twin) and Knox is at the heart of the book and it is heartwarming story. Great storyline

Fast, funny and sweet. I definitely will be reading the next installment in the series. Love the world the author built.

When your no-good sister calls, do you answer? Despite her mess of a sister always letting her down, Naomi still goes when Tina calls. This time Naomi is left with her niece, that she didn't know existed, in a small town, with a grumpy man, who is determined to help her, even if he finds her infuriating. Will romance bloom?

From the moment I started this book, it got ahold of me and wouldn't let go. I loved the town and people of Knockemout and how they rallied around to help those who need it. It's a bit like a Hallmark movie town, but I still loved it because there was enough grit with the backstories of the characters to keep it from being too sweet. I've already got the second book in this series on my TBR list (it comes out in early 2023!).

Thanks to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC of this fun book!

*Thank you to Sourcebooks, Lucy Score, and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

Lucy Score can do no wrong in my view. I have previously read "By a Thread" and it was fabulous. As is this amazing book. While this book is a long one, I loved all the characters, especially Waylay. I love that Lucy Score writes older characters who aren't afraid to let their freak fly. Amazing!

I liked the overall story; it had a lot of great tropes. I liked the male love interest. I loved many of the side characters; they were great and so funny. I love an excellent grumpy, sunshine, small-town romance. I love the heroine being thrown a curveball out of nowhere and finding love while trying to get her bearings back.
There is a specific type of romance reader I would recommend this to who I know would love this.
I did find some of the descriptions very silly.
Overall good story enjoyable and entertaining.

Do you ever feel like sometimes the perfect book just happens to find its way into your hands at the time when you needed it most? Yep, that’s this one for me.

I know this book blew up on booktok a while ago and I’m late to the hype train, but holy sh*t am I glad that I’m finally here. To all the haters, nay-sayers, and others that tried to convince anyone that this book was overrated, kindly move along because you are wrong.

This book went way beyond my expectations and anything I could have imagined it would be. It wholly deserves the hype it received and now I can officially be a part of this fan club of obsession.

I absolutely loved this book, more than I ever thought I would. It is cute and funny, with heartfelt family dynamics. I related so much to Naomi’s type-A behavior - seriously, lists and planning are my forte. And I actually cried… like whaaaat!? 😭 I can count on one hand the number of books that have made me cry and this is now one of those precious few.

This is not my typical choice of book, but one of my goals this year was to branch out and get out of my reading comfort zone. I’m so freaking glad that I did, as I got so much unexpected joy out of reading this book. And I have learned that I completely adore the grumpy sunshine trope.

I was swooning over the men in this story. And the spicy moments are hot. ❤️‍🔥🔥 The banter was absolute perfection and had me constantly laughing. The themes of girl power - amen sister! At one point while reading this book I had literal goosebumps … like omg I literally cannot with this book right now it is breaking me and I’m dying (and if you have read it, you know which parts had me in a chokehold like this).

I experienced all the feels - I mean, 🎶emotional daaaamage🎶.

My train of thoughts writing this review are all over the place, just like my emotions. I needed this book. I needed this experience. I just can’t say enough good things about it, and I cannot wait for the next one in this series. A million stars to one of my newly appointed favorite books of all time.

You can say whatever you want about my tastes, we can all have our own opinions and experiences and that’s what makes life interesting. But to all the haters… 🙉 Lalalala I’m not listening!

You have to read this. Don’t be skeptical, don’t rebel against the popularity, just read it. Let it take you for a ride on its emotional roller coaster. You won’t regret it.

Massive thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for gifting me a digital copy of this book in exchange for my feedback! I loved it so much I bought myself a physical copy! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loved the family, the support, the protectiveness, the grump, the whole vibe of the book🥰 it’s hard to find words. I still have tears in my eyes. Happy tears. That ending ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 10/10⭐️

My friends all told me that this book was so good. I listened, but sometimes hype lessens the reading experience. It did not with this book. I was so hooked on Naomi and Knox's love story. From their grumpy sunshine start to their fake dating and all of the side characters that I loved, it was the best romance ride that I have had in a long time. I am so excited to share this one with all of my friends who haven't read it. I am so excited for more in this world and am also super excited to flip through it and read more of it again.

Love this book! It's the perfect mix of drama and happy, steamy and cute, heart wrenching and butterflies! It's easy to fall in love with the characters and the town in this novel because everything is given its own spotlight, and you feel invested in everyone's stories. I'm a sucker for happy endings and this one did not disappoint. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes steamy, small town, found family, grumpyXsunshine, happy endings, and a strong leading lady who knows what she deserves.

Things We Never Got Over was an entertaining enemies to lovers saga. Considering this was a very long book involving a mistaken identity, an irritated Viking and a whole lot of family drama, it kept me amused and engaged.

🌿 Things We Never Got Over 🌿

My first book by Lucy Score and I'm so impressed.

This was the perfect romance. Sexy, grumpy man doesn't want to settle down. Gorgeous, control freak may change his mind.

With a little bit of danger, lots of spice and a truck load of hilarious characters, this book does no wrong!

I CAN NOT WAIT to return to the small town of Knockemout for book 2!

Lucy Score for the win!!

Obviously this will sell at the store I work at. A romance that is heavily backed by kindle unlimited and self published book readers always seem to come in when these books arrive. I am not a huge fan of grumpy/sunshine, (or in this case, grumpy/grumpier) but I can see why it will do well

I am so excited that Lucy Score has been getting her newer books traditional published, I have been following her for a long time and absolutely adore her writing. Things We Never Got Over is for the small town romance lover. It's got banter, it's got found family, it's got the grumpy x sunshine trope. It is such an enjoyable and easy ride, there are some twists and turns along the way but ultimately you get your HEA that you are looking for. I love the relationship between Knox and Naomi and the interactions with the town around them. I can't wait for book two in this series to read more about the characters and to see others find their HEA. Definitely recommend TWNGO if you love small town romances, romcoms, and just want to feel good at the end of a book! Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks for this eARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

Did I enjoy this book? Yes 100%, but I still think it has been overhyped on tik-tok that my hopes were almost too high. But, I still adored the story, the twins, the kid. It was a great read & I'm excited for the second.

This is more than your average love story. It includes heartache, suspense, and mystery. Things We Never Got Over held my attention to the very end although there weren't many surprises. Despite being lengthy, I'm eager to read the second installment of the series.

One of my favorite authors. The h runs away from her wedding and goes to help her twin sister after she receives a message from her. Unfortunately her sister steals her car and her money, but leaves her 10 year old daughter to her sister. The h has to convince the people of Knockemout that she is the good sister. She meets the H and he thinks she is the bad twin. Their attraction grows but the H insists he doesn’t want a commitment but they give into their attraction for each other. Friendships grow and the town comes together to help the h.
