This book is ok. I thought it was a bit over the top especially the emails from her parents. #DeathbySmoothie #NetGalley
I love this author and I love this series! Witty and so relatable, Jaine Austen is the average woman’s Stephanie Plum. This latest installment serves up all the wacky regular characters, a cozy whodunnit, and a whole lot of chuckles. This author always delivers a enjoyable read.
This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, from Kensington Books and #NetGalley. Thank you for the opportunity to preview and review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
Another Prozac and Janie cozy mystery that’s a true success. The series is as light, sweet and fun as the the previous.
Thank you, NetGalley and Kensington for this ARC. Prozac and Jaine are back! As with other books in this series, I found myself laughing out loud. Not only is Jaine trying to solve a murder but she is also training Prozac to walk on a leash. If you have read other books in this series you know Prozac and can imagine what the outcome is. Jaine is also dealing with her hilarious parents and their emails, I would read a book that is just based on their emails! So love her parents! One of the reasons that I enjoyed this book/series is that we not only get a mystery, but we also get to go on hilarious adventures with Jaine. Can't wait for the next adventure with Jaine and Prozac!
Death By Smoothie is the newest book in this hilarious cozy mystery series. Freelance writer, Jaine Austin, gets hired as a script doctor for a new play based on a TV show. The script is horrible and the actress they hired, named Misty, doesn't help. She was hired because of her looks, as she has absolutely no talent as an actress. Misty turns out to be a major Diva who makes enemies with everyone on the set. Someone poisons Misty with rat poison in one of the smoothies that she insisted on drinking at 3 pm each day. It's up to Jaine to ferret out the killer. This was a fun Romp with Jaine and her friends. Her cat Prozac is up to his usual antics as well. I really enjoyed this lighthearted cozy and look forward to the next one. A fun, quick read. Thank you to the publisher and to netgalley for letting me read an advance copy.
I really enjoy this series though I do wish Jaine would stand up for herself more often. A bachelor auction, an upscale assignment from the historical society and a new discovery leading to a more controlled Prozac put Jaine in a very upbeat mood But Jaine never seems to get the happy end of the stick and this book is no different when numerous things go awry.
Sweet and fun.
Thanks to NetGalley for the advance read
Give me a cozy mystery any day of the week! I love Jaine Austen and her hilarious romps! Another great addition!
