This excerpt is an interesting start to, based on the pace of this first chapter, what is going to be a very fast paced Yaoi/BL/LGBT manga story.
My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this in return for an honest review.
This is such a cute beginning to a story, I’m so excited to get more of it! Where can I find a man that will pine for me for 500 years?
From what we get, it seems like it could be interesting. It does seem fast paced but it really didn't bother me since it hit why the spirit was there and the dream.
-The art was good
-there are some funny moments.
Uhhhh well! Its really funny but I definitely didnt realize what I was getting myself in to lol. The concept is interesting but hopefully there's more plot to it because this brief summary didnt show too much of where the book may actually go story wise. I doubt every chapter of each volume will just be different 'moves' to master but I guess we'll wait and see.
A relatively straightforward start to a sexual parody of the 48 Positions. I'm no stranger to Ghost Comes To Haunt Some Guy In A Sexy Way fiction, and this one has potential to be a very good volume around the concept. I feel like the pacing is a tiny bit rushed, but this is essentially a prologue trying to get the concept down quickly; perhaps the pacing will be a bit better in the other chapters. I found Otono-sama pretty quickly likeable, and hope Natsuki will grow into his character more as well. Also I fount the table of contents and the bonus Position Pages to be very cute.
What the heck did I just read? I did not know what I was getting myself into. I definitely have some concerns about consent but as is often the case with these types of manga it comes into play later. This was only the first chapter so it barely had a chance to begin but it was super entertaining. I look forward to seeing their relationship play out. Obviously it’s going to be very spicy but I suspect it will also develop into a more emotional relationship further down the line and I am so ready for that.
Thank you to netgalley for allowing me to have access to eARCs and thank you to the publisher and author for allowing me to read this first chapter of this book.
This was so up my street that I loved it, it's great this was sweet and amazing and I really wished I could of read more of this book as I felt like I would have loved this book but unfortunately there was only chapter one to review which made it hard to rate. I liked the characters and the story in this book which made it very immersive, as well as the art style in this book, which was very well done and consistent. I have not read anything from this author before but I think I will read more from them in the future as I think this pulled me in and I may like previously published work.
The premise is interesting and the first chapter has a quick spin on a joke with the title. It has me intrigued, but also 48? Goodness that is a lot.
The story is fast paced as expected, and while there is a scene of almost assault, there does seem to be some agreement on actual consent, which I like in Yaoi. I am intrigued to try out the rest of the series.
*I received an eARC preview of the first chapter from Media Do International, Inc. (Kobunsha Co., Ltd) & NetGalley in exchange for my honest review*
I downloaded this BEFORE the mention of this being an excerpt. I even mailed Netgalley about it because I was utterly confused. If I had known that this was just an excerpt I wouldn't have downloaded it. I am not interested in reviewing excerpts. Such a shame, I was very excited about new Yaoi/LGBT manga. *sighs*
Totally my cup of tea. The art style was great, the comedy was hilarious and there were a lot of oh-so-good sexy moments. Even though this is the first chapter, I will be looking forward to it when the rest of the volume comes out.
Loved the premise of the story! Hunting and people reborn are always a fun concept! It read quickly and the spice was. very fun! Very creative *cough cough* positions.
