This is the second book in the Tickled Pink series. The basis of the series is that Gigi, a rich grandmother, had a near death experience and now wants redemption for her whole family. She up and moves them from NYC to the middle of nowhere so they can become better people.
Octavia, aka Tavi, is a social influencer. Her grandmother moves her to Wisconsin to try and help her become a better person. The problem is that Tavi is already a good person but no one cares enough to look.
Dylan, the local plumber, is one of the best people in town but he used to be the town's bad guy when he was in high school. When Tavi convinces Dylan to get on TikTok to help the town, the two become close. Dylan's heart is set on someone else though and Tavi is not convinced she is good enough for him anyway.
Opinion
Dylan! He is the perfect man. He has redeemed himself from being the town pain as a high schooler and has turned into the man who considers everyone and their feelings. I would "totes" swoon if I got to meet him in real life.
Tavi is great too. Apart from hiding the real her for most of her adult life, she has a good heart and deserves the best.
This book? Probably one of the sweetest books I've read in a while. While I loved the first book in the series, this book is better. I simply cannot wait for more in this series. This is a great series for those who love to read about redemption of the main characters faults.
Many thanks to Net Galley and Montlake for providing me with an ARC of this book.
3.5 star
This missed the rom-com mark for me. It had elements that were enjoyable though. There were references that made me miss home. Then there were others, like snowshoe baseball that living over 30+ years in the Midwest, I had no clue existed. All in all, a quick and easy read.
Octavia “Tavi” is a social media influencer totting her “sugar-free” lifestyle. Her grandmother froze her trust fund which she needs access to in order to restore a cocoa farm. If only it were truly as easy as helping the reformed hot “bad boy”. Dylan has regrets and secrets of his own.
Tavi and Dylan prove that while we all screw up from time to time, life always holds new chances and opportunities. Sometimes the most important thing is to forgive yourself first.
Truly Pippa Grant books are an original. No one writes like her, Her humor her romance its all adorable.. Thank you to Montlake for the advanced copy
I adore this series. This is book two in the Tickled Pink series. Even though you could probably read it as a standalone, it is much more enjoyable if you read the books in order. I was so excited to get Tavi's story because I knew it would not disappoint. The build up from the first book helped to set the stage for this one and I jumped in enthusiastically,
Tavi and Dylan have a rough start when she misreads his signals and tries to initiate a tryst that he promptly shuts down. Feeling humiliated by his rejection, it takes Tavi a while to come around and be able to associate with him again without feeling extreme embarrassment. As the two are able to get to know one another, they both learn there's more to the other one that they knew and it draws them closer together. Tavi agrees to help Dylan establish a social media presence which she believes will help Tickled Pink maintain its status once she and her family leave and Dylan helps Tavi with her undercover chocolate project.
Tavi and Dylan's romance is a slow build and it's all the sweeter for it.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.
I enjoyed this book. I felt sorry for all of Tavi's embarrassing moments but she did make me laugh at the craziness of her life. Dylan went down a life path to get over his stubbornness. I loved reading about these two and the journey they both went through in the story.
Once again I managed to request a book here on NetGalley, thinking it is a lonely book (meaning NOT part of a series) - but, alas, no such luck - this is book 2 in the Tickled Pink series. This is just SO ANNOYING - Come on, NetGalley - Get it together.
I don't believe that I am able to give the review this book deserves, because I am just so irritated that I am missing information from the story... information that might have been available in book 1...
So... I'm sorry...
Oooh, I loved this one even more than the first one. Dylan and Tavi's story is definitely a unique one and it's so entertaining that I couldn't put it down. Everything about their story is so addicting. I had so much fun reading it, their banter, the storyline, and the characters are all great and very much well-written. I'm obsessed!
Rich In Your Love is wonderfully funny and lighthearted rom-com with a touch of family drama and dose of spice. I loved being back in the world of Tickled Pink, with its hilarious cast of small town characters you can’t help but love.
The real stars, of course, are Tavi and Dylan. I loved seeing their story unfold, and watching these two fall in love. There’s so much more than meets they eye to both of these characters, and I love that they really have an unflinching acceptance of the other, no matter what. An absolute joy to read
A highly entertaining, heartwarming and laugh out loud fun adventure filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and exciting emotional turns. An edge of your seat emotionally thrilling roller coaster journey from beginning to end.
Tavi was raised in an affluent lifestyle but that is not who she is even though she has created quite the following with her fitness and lifestyle tips on social media. She has a cause that is close to heart and wants to support but for that to happen she needs to follow her grandmother’s edicts so that she can take control of her trust fund. She now finds herself trying to repair the image of Dylan both for him and the town.
Dylan regrets the actions in his past and is trying to be a better man but the people in town have long memories and can’t seem to see past the boy he was to the person he has become. Tavi is supposed to enhance his image and distract him from the girl he can’t be with and can’t forget but he never expected her to be the distraction.
Tavi and Dylan are kindred souls as neither has found a place that they belong. I really enjoyed that they truly saw each other for the people they are and not the image they portrayed as they take us on a romantic and humorous journey that still had all the feels.
I really loved the first one in this series but I wasn't as big a fan of the newest installment. Maybe it was because some of it was repetitive as it was just a different POV from book one but I don't know. It wasn't as charming this time around and that made me sad.
The second book in Pippa Grant’s Tickled Pink series and Rich In Your Love is an amusing romcom as social influencer Octavia aka Taxi has to charity work to appease her draconian grandmother who holds the purse strings to her trust fund. What follows is a surprisingly sweet romance as Tavi makes it her project to help plumber Dylan not only with his business but with his personal life as well seeing as he’s hung up on his married best friend. Dylan has spent much of his adult life trying to make amends and live down his behaviour when he was much younger where he hurt a lot of people while, as an influencer, Tavi presents an image to the world that few people are allowed to or more likely bother to look past. Together they have no expectations from each other and feel free to drop their facades and gradually fall in love.
This is a light hearted romance that will still manage to tug at your heartstring as Tavi and Dylan both seem to very lonely people. Together they make each whole and realise they are deserving of love without any pretence or holding back. With a good flow to the writing and some humorous situations, Rich In Your Love makes for an enjoyable read.
The next book in this fun series.
Tavi is a social media influencer, but appearances are deceiving and her real love is restoring a cacao farm in Costa Rica. Will Dylan change her, or is he too caught up in pining for his ex?
Looking forward to the next book in this series.
After her grandmother's near death experience, Tavi's grandmother gathered the family in the small town of Tickled Pink, WI to save their souls. Tavi wants to be on her cacao farm in Costa Rica working on her chocolates but her trust fund (frozen by her grandmother until Tavi finds the path to heaven) and life as a vegan and exercise influencer pays the bills she's stuck in Tickled Pink doing good deeds. One positive is Dylan the too sexy plumber that fills in the boring times. Dylan sees through Tavi's false image and into the deeper human she really is. Entertaining read with fun characters, deep feels and laugh out loud sticky situations and a dysfunctional family trying to find a level plain for their new perspective on life.
OMG!!! This book was hilarious!
The world knows her as Tavi Lightly, sugar-free social media influencer. But her true purpose lies in secretly restoring a cacao farm in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, to save the farm, she needs access to the trust fund that her grandmother has frozen. She’s requiring her to go to Tickled Pink, Wisconsin, with all her family to ‘save their soul’. So now she is in a town she doesn’t want to be helping local reformed bad boy Dylan Wright with his dating life and making him and the town famous.
Not so easy is the fact that they’re falling for each other. He belongs in Tickled Pink, and she belong on her farm. They might share their secrets with one another, but can they really share their lives too?
I enjoyed this story for many reasons. It has amazing characters, lots of fun and internal dialogs that for me are the best part of this book. The Lightlys are something else. Tavi has serious self-esteem issues and I really really hated Gigi. Dylan is super sweet and hot and they have amazing chemistry.
The only thing that didn’t work for me was that it drags a bit too much. With 100 pages less it would have been perfect.
This book is well written, engaging and a super fun slow-burn romance.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I always enjoy the heck out of a Pippa Grant novel. I particularly like how she can give us all the people in a series and make them all likable and truly loveable. We met Tavi (Octavia) in the first Tickled Pink book. My initial impression of Tavi is the impression she presents to the world of social media and her family; vapid, vegan, and very shallow. Waltzing around with Pebbles, her pocket puppy in her large environmentally conscious handbag, Tavi has mastered the art of hiding behind her persona. Meanwhile, Tavi is becoming a master of chocolate and has bought an organic cacao farm with plans to launch a delicious chocolate business. That is until Grandma Gigi springs the "our family will become good people in Tickled Pink" plan.
Upon arriving, Tavi quickly realizes two things, she will do anything to save her farm, and the town plumber, Dylan, weakens her knees. But more importantly, Tavi discovers she's tired of being who she's not and needs to find her real self. Dylan has truths he needs to face and let himself fall for Tavi. All of this is happening in the quirky town of Tickled Pink with all the characters we laughed so hard at in The One Who Loves You. They all play their part in helping Tavi and Dylan find each other and themselves.
It's a fun read from the Queen of Crazy Unicorn love.
I enjoyed The One Who Loves You so much, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Rich in your Love. I will say again, these covers had me fooled. I grabbed RIYL forgetting that Pippa Grant writes an excellent romcom, which is not my usual genre. This story has a lot of heart, humor, steam, and characters you can’t help but like… and a few others you simply hate… because let’s face it, Gigi really is awful. I can’t recommend this story enough if you love a good story and some giggles along the way.
Tavi is a social media influencer that has a secret– she hates the life. She just wants to disappear and make chocolate on the cacao farm she rescued in Costa Rica with her business partner. But she has to keep her grandmother happy until she can access her trust fund. Until then, she lives a lie and makes her chocolate in secret. All that changes when Gigi demands the family goes to Tickled Pink, Wisconsin to save their souls. Dropping everything, Tavi has spent the last month working around the clock to appease Gigi and also keep her dream alive. When Tavi is paired with Dylan Wright to promote Tickled Pink, these two realize that who they were might not matter as much as who they are now as they fall for each other.
What a happy mistake I made grabbing RIYL since I immensely enjoyed each of these stories in audio. Savannah Peachwood does a fantastic job with Tavi and I always love Sebastian York. I laughed every time sulfur was referenced with Gigi. She really is quite evil in her own way. And I think that was really what made me love these stories so much. They made me laugh, not cringe. For me, I find some romcoms don’t hit my humor right and I just feel like the characters are acting stupid. In this case, Pippa gives us real people with real issues and pairs it flawlessly with humor. I will be preordering the next one whenever it becomes available.
The Lightly's are train wreck of a family, Gigi the matriarch trying teach her family to be better people. Little did Gigi know that Tavi was doing her own good on the down low. Both Tavi and Dylan struggled with being true to themselves and to others. When they showed each other their true selves the sparks flew.
I thoroughly enjoyed this return visit to Tickled Pink, Wisconsin. Poppa Grant does it again! This is the story of Dylan and Tavi and it has a little bit of everything in it....love, laughs, drama, some spice, some steam.... Its a wonderful reminder to be your true self, love who you are and let go of your past. The relationship between Dylan and Tavi is heartwarming and you will not be disappointed.
Tavi Lightly seems to everyone as a social media influencer but her secret is that she owns a cacao farm in Costa Rica, which she is desperate to save. To do so, she has to access the trust fund that her grandmother set up for her. However, when it is frozen, she finds herself returning home to Tickled Pink, Wisconsin to help reformed bad boy, turned plumber, Dylan Wright.
With his troubled childhood, Dylan has hurt many people, yet he is determined to redeem himself. When he meets Tavi, he realises that she is unaware of his past, and sees him for who he is today. Likewise, the image that Tavi presents to the world differs to the warm and witty person that Dylan finds himself falling for.
An enjoyable read, set amidst an interesting small town. I enjoyed the dialogue between this couple and the romance that developed. Whilst I thought the book could have been shorter, I found myself immersed in the lives of this interesting couple.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
