I have loved all Sarah Morgan books and this is no exception. This was a wonderful novel for Christmas. Set in Scotland the family all get snowed in. Lots of fun quirky family members especially Nanna Jean. Three siblings all trying to find romance. I really didn’t want it to end.

Hallmark Scottish Christmas. Let's be real here, this book is essentially a Hallmark Christmas movie set in Scotland. How you feel about the entire tale will likely be pretty close to how you feel about the sentence prior to this one in this review. There are three different romance tales at play here, between each of three siblings - Ross being the sacrificial lamb with a made up girlfriend to distract his parents from his sisters' issues but who becomes all too real, Alice with an all too real fiancee, and Clemmie with plans of her own... who then has her own story from there. Along the way we also get to see the conflict between Ross and his dad, both of them successful businessmen who love to talk about anything *other* than business with each other. Ultimately, Morgan weaves her magic and makes all of this work quite well - if pretty much exactly within the Hallmarkie mold. Still, this is yet another solid hit for Morgan, and exactly how good of a hit really depends on exactly what the reader themselves feel about this type of story - Morgan's bread and butter. I happened to think it worked quite well, and it is very much recommended.

Scotland – Present Day

The three Miller siblings, Ross, Alice, and Clemmie, all work and live in London, and they plan to spend the Christmas holiday with their parents at the family home in Scotland. Alice, a doctor, plans to bring her boyfriend, Nico. She expects a nice family get-together where Nico and her family get to know one another. But he pulls a surprise just before they leave by proposing marriage. Alice isn’t sure she wants to commit herself to a man, especially if their ideas about marriage are different. She postpones her response to Nico, with plans to mull it over while they’re in Scotland. Clemmie is a nanny to a family that relies too much on her. She left the home she grew up in to start a new life in London but hasn’t accomplished much except being a nanny. Clemmie recently broke off a relationship with another man as she suddenly realizes that he couldn’t hold a candle to the man she grew up loving, Fergus. But Fergus never thought of Clemmie as more than a good friend.

Meanwhile, Ross is a successful sportswear apparel businessman and doesn’t have time to date. Because the Miller siblings are aware that their parents and grandmother will be pressuring Alice to marry Nico, they decide to distract them by making up a pretend girlfriend for Ross. They name her Lucy. Alice, Nico, and Clemmie arrive first in Scotland. It’s clear their mother and grandmother are pushing for a proposal from Nico, unaware that he has already popped the question. Alice and Nico are placed in a romantic room. It is during their preliminary chat with their mother and grandmother that Clemmie lets slip that Ross is dating a woman named Lucy. Soon afterward, a woman shows up on the doorstep looking for Ross. She has a Christmas present for him. Oh, and her name is Lucy…

Lucy is plopped right down into the middle of the Miller drama in SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS. She doesn’t know that Ross is supposed to have a pretend girlfriend named Lucy. She knows him (but they have never met) because the company she works for is pursuing him to do social media work for him. Lucy has always thought Ross was attractive, and when he arrives shortly after she does, he is confused about what is going on. It is soon sorted out, and Lucy heads out to leave, but while she was inside, the snow started falling hard. Lucy ends up fracturing her ankle, plus travel is at a standstill. The Miller family invites Lucy to stay for Christmas. Meanwhile, Alice and Nico have a talk, and it doesn’t end well. Why didn’t she discuss her concerns with him before? Suddenly, a joyous family holiday is thrown into disarray.

There is a lot going on in SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS. A lot of characters, a lot of plots, and several points of view are told in this tale. Sometimes it gets a little confusing remembering who has what problem. Glenda, the mother of the siblings, wishes things would go the way she wants: Alice marries Nico, Clemmie stays in Scotland, and Ross works with his father in their shortbread company. But sometimes what we want is not what happens—or there are side journeys along the way. The family’s grandmother believes in love and feels Ross and Lucy are perfect for each other. But will the hardworking bachelor agree? As for Clemmie, she reconnects with Fergus, who is now raising his deceased sister’s daughter. Clemmie has something she wants but can she pull it off?

A feel-good tale filled with warmth and emotion that fits well with the drama, readers will find out that SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS is the perfect tale to snuggle down with. A lot is going on, so it might take a little bit to get into, but once you do, you won’t want to put it down.

I have reviewed so many books by Sarah Morgan and couldn't wait to review Snowed in For Christmas. This is a feelgood novel and I felt I was part of the Christmas celebrations. The grandmother is very quirky. I loved the atmosphere and Sarah Morgan always keeps me engaged in her stories.

Thanks to Sarah Morgan and Harlequin Trade Publishing for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

4 stars.

What I expected : A heartfelt romance between a lonely woman named Lucy whose trying to save her advertising job by landing a new big client, Ross Miller. She shows up at his families home and is mistaken for his girlfriend. A slipper fall and a snow storm have her stuck at his house, where she finds more than a new client.

What I got: Half a dozen female point of views. Lucy, both of Ross' sisters and his mother. No point of view for Ross, but it wasn't needed because this wasn't Lucy and Ross's holiday romance story. (Lucy and Ross don't even meet until 40 % into the damn book!) This is a holiday contemporary fiction story following 4 woman as they navigate personal drama.

Was this book bad? No, but I didn't pick it up because I wanted a holiday fiction story. I picked it up under the assumption it was a holiday romance with a meet cute and snowed in scenario that would lead to a swoony connection. I was given none of the sort, so I am disappointed to say the least.

Unfortunately this book was a miss for me. Way too many POVs, and we don't even get to see the two MCs meet until much later in the book. Which is weird because the book is marketed as one main romance? And yet there seem to be at least three happening in this story.

More of an issue of not my cup of tea, most likely.

Morgan penned a delicious family saga that reminds us that family are always the people that love us best, but that doesn’t always mean things are easy. Perfect with a cup of warm hot cocoa and a gingerbread tree or shortbread cookie, a cat, a fire, and a warm blanket.

A wonderful Christmas story taking place mostly in the Lake countryside.
A bit of a comedy of errors compounded by a big snowstorm that knocks out transportation.
Lucy has lost her only living relative and spends Christmas by herself usually but this year has made a stop to drop off her ideas for business to Ross. The Millers are a lovely family Ross owns a sport business, Clemmie is a professional Nanny and Alice an ER Doctor. Christmas plays out delightfully, as it should. I enjoyed every page.

It takes a while to get sucked into this beauty by Sarah Morgan but once it grabs your attention and candidly your heart as well you realize SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS is so much more than just another season tale. It’s about family and it’s ultimate importance. It’s about the absence of family and it’s impact. It’s about Lucy Clarke and her angst about spending another Christmas without her dear grandmother who for all practical purposes had been her ground-stone. And about Ross Miller who is a wonder kid in the sporting goods and apparel arena. But the most impressive part of Ross Miller is his close, successful family. You might say Lucy and Ross are opposites. But both are driven by their innate desire to succeed. Lucy with her marketing skills. Ross by his business acumen. Great characters.
Nana Jean is just priceless. She’s going to stir up happy thoughts and memories with anyone who had a grandparent who liked to stir things up and who did not have a filter. I bet you are smiling already.
SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS would make an excellent scenic play, either large or small, infused with at times outrageous but none the less hysterical dialog. Family talk at it’s best and funniest. Characters that are uncommonly truthful, honest, blunt, open and angst filled. Stuff of great comedies. So when describing SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS it is the best situational romantic comedy of this season. Couldn't help seeing Betty White every time Nanna Jean opens her mouth.
The Miller family is on their game this holiday season. Looking forward to spending time doing traditional things, traditional for the Miller family is a conceptually broad term. Of course it wouldn’t be a great story without the minor disruptions and revelations.
Sarah Morgan spent a great deal of time setting the stage of this wondrous tale. All very necessary so you can understand how these characters interact. Families are a complex machine of sorts. Lots of angles and gears.
The appearance of some additions to the Miller lodge festivities is simply ingenious and award winning. As always, my review is going to avoid giving away much of the plot. That’s your joy. Be prepared to be overjoyed with SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS. SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS was my introduction to Sarah Morgan, going to keep an eye out for more from this talented wordsmith. Her dialog is simply the best.

Four and a Half Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭒
Snowed In for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is an emotional story of love and family. I loved this heartwarming story full of family drama.

Lucy Clarke is a young and ambitious marketing professional who loves her job, but, business isn’t good right now, and she knows her boss will have to lay some folks off soon if the business doesn’t pick up. She’s worried because it’s the best job she’s ever had and she gets along with everyone at work and has the best boss she’s ever had. Lucy has had her share of grief in her life, her parents died when she was young, and her grandmother raised her, but she died two years ago, leaving Lucy without any family.

The three adult children in the Miller family all live in London, and their family home is up in Scotland. Ross, Alice, and Clemmie all conspire to hide secrets from their overprotective mother before they go home for Christmas. Ross doesn’t want to listen to his mother ask him about his love life again, so he makes up a fictional girlfriend named Lucy. Alice’s boyfriend Nico just proposed marriage, but she hasn’t said yes yet, and she doesn’t want her parents to know about the proposal. Clemmie has her own secret that she won’t even tell to her siblings.

Lucy decides to bring her marketing proposal to Scotland where Ross Miller lives in order to ensure he sees it before January. She only wants to stop by and drop off the proposal, but a huge snowstorm makes it impossible to leave. With all the Miller family chaos over the holidays, which secrets will get out, and how will this family cope?

There are a lot of characters in this book, but not too many. They are all well developed and I enjoyed them all. The family home in Scotland sounds wonderful, as well as the nearby little village. With the big snowstorm, everything is decorated for Christmas and gives the book a nice heartwarming feel.

I highly recommend Snowed in for Christmas to anyone who enjoys heartwarming Christmas stories. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book was so very good! I didn’t want it to end! I wanted to crawl in the book and stay there.
A family can be stressful anytime of the year but throw everyone together at Christmas and who knows what can happen. Add a boyfriend, an unexpected guest and an old friend for even more excitement.
It’s a lovely romantic story that will make you laugh and cry.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the early copy

A fun read! Make up the name of a girlfriend for your brother, and she appears on the doorstep! Well, the author did that, and I loved the way she ended up at the Miller family Christmas celebration!
We are there for the typical family dynamics, and a wise grandmother definitely plays a big roll in helping her grandchildren see what right in front of their eyes.
Will these three siblings finally see what others see?
A page turner and then a quick read, as I needed answers, and with lots of snow and broken bones, we are there to celebrate! I wanted one of those any cookies!
I received this book through Net Galley and Harlequin Trade Publishing, and was not required to give a positive review.

This wonderful Christmas themed romance was a real page turner for me. In spite of the fact that I wanted to jump into the story and shake the characters into telling the truth and owning their feelings, I enjoyed the story and the family dynamics. The author did a great job of building the characters and finding a happy ending for all. It's an enjoyable story for the holidays. I wish I could give a half star because it deserves four and a half stars.

Light story about three adult children coming to their family home in Scotland and the romantic entanglements that follow them, including a marketing rep who gets stranded with the family. I enjoyed the humor and found this a great pre-holiday read.

This is a story of multiple romances. Lucy and Ross, Alice and Nico, Clemmie and Fergus stories make this a delightful book.
A family gathering
This Christmas the Miller siblings have one goal—to avoid their well-meaning family’s endless stream of prying questions. Ross, Alice and Clemmie have secrets that they don’t intend to share, and they are relying on each other to deflect attention.
An uninvited guest
Lucy Clarke is facing a Christmas alone and the prospect of losing her job. Unless she can win a major piece of business from Ross Miller, the season promises to be anything but festive. She’ll just deliver her proposal to his family home and then leave. After all, she wouldn’t want to intrude on the Miller family’s perfect Christmas.
A Christmas to remember
When Lucy appears on the Miller family’s snow-covered Highland doorstep, she's mistaken for Ross’s girlfriend. By the time the confusion is cleared up, they're snowed in—she can’t leave, even if she wants to! But does she want to? As secrets spill out like presents from an overstuffed stocking and the chemistry between her and Ross ignites, this is going to be either Lucy's worst Christmas ever or the best mistake of her life.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

I read Snowed in for Christmas over the summer and despite the hot weather I was propelled into December. A remote Scottish highland village, lots of snow and plenty of Christmas traditions make this a cozy holiday read.

Lucy Clarke is a young woman who has experienced a lot of loss in her life. Her parents were tragically killed and she was raised by her beloved Grandmother who passed at Christmas two years before. She is a shining star in her professional work, but the company she has worked for has had some bad luck recently and may have to downsize soon. But not if Lucy has anything to say about it. She is determined to get some new company accounts.

The three Miller adult children live in London and are tired of the never-ending questions from their parents about their personal lives. Things are going on in their lives that they can’t even discuss with their siblings. They devise a fictitious plan to satisfy their parents – Ross will tell them that he is dating a girl named Lucy. Little did they know that Lucy Clarke would appear at the Highland home of their parents looking for Ross for business reasons.

I received an early copy of the eARC for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

The Miller family is welcoming of Lucy who soon becomes unable to leave the home. Planning on spending the holiday alone in London, suddenly she becomes part of a family celebration full of tradition. When Lucy and Ross have a chance to talk, they find out they have more in common than their passion for their work. The characters are all highly likeable and the home is fully decorated – everything that Lucy wants in her life. Ross’s grandmother Nanna Jean is a sweet woman full of spunk and along with Hunter the dog, steals the show.

Snowed in for Christmas is my first holiday book of 2022 but I already know this will be one of my favourites. I’ll be buying this book as a gift to each of the readers in my life to enjoy in December.

Typically, I don't care for when an author attempts to follow too many story lines within a romance novel. However, in Snowed in for Christmas, you get to watch all three siblings find their match without the story being clunky or bulky. It also incorporates a good amount of Christmas spirit which is a huge plus!
