Oh my goodness, it's so stressful to review a great story and do it justice. My heart is still racing and I hated to finish this story.
Josie and Noah are partners in life and careers. A local mystery, one girl dead and the other running for her life. Josie and Noah were returning from leave, stopped in the fog and this crime played out in front of them
This story was so well written, I couldn't tell who, why and what on earth was going on. Little flack backs from someone's life played out between the chapters, I'd no idea who that was.
There are so many twists and turns in this plot you may be dizzy. I loved the way the author wove all the pieces together wrapping up this mystery. I just couldn't put this book down, bravo Ms Regan this is a winner.

A new Josie book is like visiting old friends. Josie and Noah are on their way home from their honeymoon when a young teen runs in front of their vehicle … Josie literally hits the ground running in this one. Another good twisty mystery that Josie pieces together. I love that Josie and Noah worked more closely in this one and are in sync both on and off the case. As always the compassion Josie shows to the young victims in this story helps to show just how much her character has grown through this series.
Thanks Netgalley and Publisher for the opportunity to read this Arc.

Just wow! This series is one worth reading and just keeps getting better! Character development, I feel like I know these people - complex investigation with multiple layers and multiple storylines that all intertwine and keep you hooked. One of the best detective series out there - and a great, strong, female lead. Keep them coming!

After reading the entire series over the last month, this book still kept me riveted. The mystery was the best of the series. There were twists on top of twists and the book kept me enthralled all the way through. Some mysteries you know early on who the baddies are but with “Local Girl Missing’, while I picked some elements the entire picture wasn’t evident until the end. The characters are great and the dynamic between Josie and Noah is part of the appeal. It was great to see Daisy again and see the Chief mellowing bit by bit. I highly recommend this series and while this book can be read as a stand alone, the experience is richer if read in order. thanks to Ms Regan, the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in return for an honest review. The only downside was I missed visiting with Harris as much as I would have liked 😃. Overall 5 stars and I can’t wait for book 16!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the copy of Local Girl Missing. I was late to this series and am trying to read the books in order, but it’s hard when Lisa Regan keeps releasing books! This is book 15 and while it can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the series in order because the relationships between the characters really grow and change.
Do not start this book unless you have the time because it is nonstop action because it is more than just a missing girl story. There was so much going on I could not put it down until I finished it, so dinner was very late today! If you are looking for a series with a strong female lead that will keep you completely entranced, pick up the Josie Quinn series!

Lisa Regan has done it again, left me speechless. Josie and Noah finally have a honeymoon, almost home, a girl runs in front of their car. Then all heck breaks loose, a dead teen, the person responsible running and now a missing teen.
This one was nonstop action throughout the entire book. A definite hold on you and you can’t put it down. It had me tense the whole time, would make a wonderful movie. Love, love Josie and Noah and can’t wait for book 16.
Many thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this.

Another five star read! The fact that Lisa Regan can keep a series going this long and keep me interested, is impressive. I've started plenty of series that I lost interest in and didn't continue. This is not one of them.

Reading this story was like being in one of those escape rooms, in the dark, trying to put clues together to lead to the only exit. When I read a book like this, I'm always impressed when I think I have it all figured out only to discover how wrong I am. I like being wrong when I read a book like this because it means the author did a great job writing a complicated story that also makes sense.

This story was simple yet intricate. It starts as Josie and Noah are driving home from the airport after the honeymoon they finally got to go on and had to pull over due to the overwhelming fog. Side note- love the way Josie and Noah love each other. The glances, the small reassuring touches, and the mouthed "I love yous" when it can't be said out loud. I especially love how in tune Noah is to Josie's thoughts and moods. Anyway, when they pull the car over, they had no idea they were interrupting a crime in progress. A girl runs across the street screaming and on the other side, a man is yelling at another girl while strangling her, but runs off as Josie pursues him. One girl dies, another goes missing and so the case begins. Josie and Noah haven't even gone home to unpack before they are working a case. The priority is find the missing girl, find the man who ran off, and figure out how they are connected. This leads to so many people and so many theories, but with each question they ask, more questions come.

This is a fast paced story that was complicated, yet easy to follow along. Detailed, but not overly so. I read this in one sitting, happy I was able to do so as it would've been difficult to put down. If you're considering this book, it's likely you've read the ones before it and I think you'll enjoy it as much as I did, and if you haven't, you can read this as a standalone, but for the best reading experience, you should start at the beginning. There is a lot of history and character development that leads up to this book.

Where do I start? We're 15 books deep into the Josie Quinn series and you'd think Lisa would have nothing left to surprise me with, but that is never the case. No matter what I'm expecting, she flips me on my ear almost from the get-go, and in the case of Local Girl Missing, it was from the first paragraph. Like a steamroller, one page morphs into the next and you can't put it down.

Josie and Noah are returning from their honeymoon (Finally!) when a case literally falls into their lap, or in this case, streaks past them like a shrieking banshee. Bewildered, Josie and Noah pull over to offer aid, but the girl has gone missing.

I know what you're thinking, another book about a missing girl, but it's so not about just a missing girl. She's barely the tip of the iceberg. An iceberg that simmers below the town and lives of the people of Denton. Those who know, know, but those who don't are in danger of running afoul of some not so, shall we say, generous men. These men aren't afraid to kill for what they want and Josie and her team are on the chopping block. If they want to save themselves, they're going to have to find the missing girl.

Alison knows things she shouldn't. When those things get her friend killed, she's not going to put herself at risk by showing back up on the radar. If she wants to be free, she has to figure out a way to get the men what they want, even though she doesn't know what they want or where it is.

The cast of characters in Local Girl Missing is vast and varied, but there is one old character you'll remember from Josie's childhood. I absolutely love it when Lisa throws someone in from Josie's past to see how she reacts to the person now that she's an adult. Sometimes, I am disappointed by Josie's reaction, and sometimes, like in this case, I'm thrilled to see her mature and grow and approach the person through different colored lenses. Maybe it's the strong, consistent love she has with Noah now or maybe it's the lessons she learned from losing Lisette, or both, but Josie is changing and it's for the better.

Josie, Noah, Gretchen, Mett, and the Chief are on their game with this case and they're not leaving any stone unturned. They suspect they're dealing with a criminal unlike any they have before and their ducks must be in a row if they all want to survive to see Harris's sixth birthday party.

Book 15 has so many plot twists and shocking reveals that going into too much detail in a review will spoil one of them, no matter how hard I try not to. So I won't, but I will say, technically, this book is flawless in its twisting and winding plot from page one to the last. Josie and Noah are growing and changing in their relationship and starting to take much-needed breaks TOGETHER rather than apart. The chief is continuing on his journey of self-improvement since book 14 and I'm excited to see if his new plan gets off the ground for the Denton PD! If it does, we might have the addition of some new characters before the end of this series. Don't walk, run to your favorite retailer and grab Local Girl Missing, but be prepared to keep turning the pages because just when you're ready to take a break, Lisa will hit you will a twist that will keep you reading long into the night.

Dang it.

I’m done.

From the very first page I have stepped right back into Denton, PA. This book gave me whiplash. It grabbed me from the first page and never let go. I’m still lost in Denton.

This was fast paced, high octane mystery. And as usual Josie is full on submerged. I loved the steam between her and Noah. That connection. Boom 💥

I also love her character growth and her total badassness. She is so smart. The way the author writes how her mind puts things together is so cool. This was a layered, complicated and twisted story. Just when you think you know. You don’t know jack. It’s all so intricate and so dang great. Teenagers…that’s all I’ll say.

Every single book this author takes us on a journey and man I’m so here for it. This series never gets old. It keeps getting better and better. And everyone needs to read it. It is one of the best crime thriller series out there. It is a MUST READ.
