This is book #15 in the Josie Quinn series. Whilst it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone book. Josie and Noah are on their way home from their long-awaited honeymoon when they come across a vicious attack on two teenage girls. With one girl dead, one missing and their attacker on the run, Josie finds herself drawn into this case which will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very end!

I’ve read this series from the beginning, and I love Josie’s character. Her and Noah work really well together, and despite what happened at their wedding a few books back, it was great to see them having some normality in their lives. This case falls in their laps quite unexpectedly and the pace picks up almost immediately when the chase for the young women’s attacker begins. The storyline then twists and turns throughout, and try as I might I couldn’t work out where the storyline was heading! There were lots of red herrings and dead ends, and the author has done a fantastic job of fitting everything in, keeping my interest held high and then giving me an ending I just didn’t see coming!

If you’ve read the other books in the series, you’ll know some of the other characters. Whilst we do get to see them – Gretchen, Chief Chitwood, Trinity, Misty to name a few! – they do very much take a back seat in this story and we get to see all the focus on Josie, Noah and the investigation. Josie’s character, despite some major setbacks throughout the series, has come on leaps and bounds and she was back to being a determined, gritty and strong character that we know and love! There’s lots of puzzles to work through, some hair-raising moments which had got my heartbeat rising and action a plenty with Josie giving some high kicks, low blows and gun standoffs with the baddies!! Super thrilling and super exciting throughout!!

This was a great read and whilst we’re 15 books into the series, there doesn’t seem to be any signs of slowing down! If you’re after high action crime investigation, then look no further! Would recommend!

This book would. not. let. me. go. It was action-packed from beginning to end and I couldn't put it down until I reached the very last page.

Josie and Noah have finally gotten to take their honeymoon, When on their way home they see a young woman run across the road and into the woods. When they run after her they find a different young woman that had been strangled to death. They really should have stayed away another day...

Now they have one girl missing, one dead, and a whole lot of questions. This case takes us on a twisty ride, with tracking down a missing girl, witnesses too scared to talk lies on top of lies, and uncovering some massive secrets that have the power to cause major damage if revealed. Josie and the team definitely have their work cut out for them.

I can't wait to see where the next book is going to take us!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Local Girl Missing by Lisa Regan that I read and reviewed.
This is the last eat book in the Josie Quinn series and we saw a different side of Quinn in this book. She was more flirtatious with her husband and partner and in some parts more fun and I really liked this side of Josie even though she had a very serious case to solve.
As for the case it was really a different one then the other ones then Regan has written before and when you finally found out what was going on it was one of those books where you go “I had no idea that was coming!” There we’re so many twist and turns and lefts and rights that as a reader you have to stay on you game to keep up and at the end I still had a few questions that were going on in my mind that I might have missed or were might not have been answered things went so fast at the end but it was one heck of a book so I am going to let that go.
Local Girl Missing Gets five out of five stars from me.

This is another in the Josie Quinn series detective series, and it was a really gripping read. The plot in this one is quite well done, there are lots of characters, lots of intrigue, lots of "something doesn't feel quite right." I was questioning motivations of certain characters almost to the very end, waiting for some other kind of twist. There was not a simple point A to point B in the storyline, and there are really lots of intertwining plots without making the story seem bogged down. I continue to think Lisa Regan writes Josie incredibly well - she shows her humanity, her fear, and not just her "run towards the danger" attitude. I think this was just fine as a standalone, can easily be read out of order. Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Local Girl Missing is book 15 in the Detective Josie Quinn series and is best enjoyed as part of the series and in order. Josie and Noah are headed home from their honeymoon when they see a stopped car on the side of the road. A teenager is beaten and being strangled by a man. Another teenager is bleeding and running away from the scene. An unlikely murderer and a missing girl lead Josie and Noah on a twisted and unpredictable case that keeps you guessing until the end. This is book number fifteen in a great series that always delivers the goods for a fast paced, keeps you guessing whodunnit. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from NetGalley.

And now BREATHE.........

I can't quite believe this is book number FIFTEEN in the Josie Quinn Series! How the amazing Lisa Regan has managed to still keep this series as gripping and fresh as the first book is a true testament to her talents!

As I've now come to expect with this series from the very first page until the very last it had me gripped vice like in its claws and played with me until the end.

Once again we jump head first into this high octane thriller with Josie and Noah slap bang in the middle of it all. Freshly back from their honeymoon they are faced with one hell of a riddle to solve *NO SPOILERS*

This literally had me breathless and on the edge of my seat at times. I didnt have a clue which direction it was taken and as always was brilliantly fast paced to the point the questions you have just keep piling up so you can never quite work out the who's, where's and why's.... until Lisa Regan WANTS you to know!

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who felt it but this installment definitely felt it was heading in another direction to previous books in the series. I'm not sure whether it was the actual case the team are investigating or the fact that it didn't feel like the usual small time Denton that I've grown used to.

One thing that was different than to previous books was this one was alot more about the case and less about the characters. We usually get more background information for at least one of the team with each new book but this one felt less so.

Something I absolutely love about this series is that someone could pick up any one of the 15 books and jump straight into it. Yes there are references to past cases, backstories etc BUT you just know that you can recommend a book on knowing that the person will then fall in love with Josie Quinn and then want to read all of the others they've missed!

Huge thanks to netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

Another phenomenal instalment in this series, which I hope continues for a long, long time. This story starts with Josie and Noah returning from their (finally) honeymoon. It is very foggy. A person runs across the road in front of them. And you are off into the mystery of Book #15. Read the book or if you haven’t yet, read the entire series. Thanks to NetGalley, Bookoutre and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

This is another great book with a complicated plot! Josie and Noah are on their way home after a much needed tropical honeymoon, when they are thrown into a new case before they are officially "on duty." After they nearly hit a fleeing woman, a bizarre tableau confronts them just off the road: a man strangling a young woman. As Josie chases the perp, Noah tries unsuccessfully to resuscitate the victim. As they and their team search for answers to a series of murders, the answers seem more and more improbable. It will keep you guessing until the end.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

Detective Josie Quinn and her husband lieutenant Noah Fraley are returning from a long awaited honeymoon trip, when fog causes them to pullover. They hear a scream and on searching the area they come across discarded items from a ladies handbag. As they continue their search they see one girl run off whilst another is being strangled by a mystery man. The man runs off as they approach and Josie gives chase, however he jumps off a cliff. On returning they find the girl Dina is dead. With the other girl, Alison, missing they though themselves into investigating the case. Evidence points towards a local hotel/bar and a man in charge of wait staff. When he is found dead and his house ransacked, the mystery deepens. Just where is Alison and why was Dina killed?

This is another amazing instalment in this series. It could be read in isolation, but I would honestly recommend starting at the beginning and reading them all.

I love how jam packed the Lisa Regan books are. There are twists and turns galore and despite my best efforts I never know the final ‘bad guy’ until the end.

Well written with likeable characters that you really invest in. 5stars.

Josie and Noah are driving home in heavy fog when they hear a piercing scream and a girl runs across the road in front of them. When they stop to investigate they find another girl being strangled with the killer asking "where is it?". Josie gives chase and the killer chooses to jump to his death rather than get arrested.
This sets the stage for a fast and twisty ride. Houses are getting trashed, people are being tortured and everyone is lying. What is "it" that someone so desperately wants to find? Josie and her team have their hands full trying to solve the case before more people die.

Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC

Seriously good reading!

Who would have thought on your trip home from a very belated and overdue honeymoon, so close to being home, pulling over due to fog would catapult you directly back to work, at a crime in action, and a chase to find a killer and surviver, but it is just the beggining of the mystery. This is exactly what happened to Josie and Noah as they race to uncover all the facts and players. An absolute page turner, Lisa has delivered yet another gripping read combining a new mystery with the human element of our much beloved cast of characters.

Best way to spend a birthday weekend, reading this ARC!! thank you Lisa and NetGalley

Have just finished the local girl missing. Lovely to follow Josie and Noah again. A great thriller although I found it slow in parts. A great read and looking forward to the next one

Another amazing thriller. I can't believe we only have 5 more books of this series!!!!
I seriously kept thinking someone from Josie's team was not gonna make it. Definitely a different scenario for this team to be dealing with mobs and so many victims and criminals!!!!

This may well the best book in the series yet! Josie and Noah are returning from their much postponed honeymoon when they have to slow right down in thick fog. A girl runs across the road in front of their car. They pull up and find a man strangling another girl. He runs off and Josie gives chase. Just before he jumps off a cliff into a raging river Josie sees sheer terror on his face. He would rather die than be caught. It is too late for the first girl but they do have another girl to find. The two were travelling together on their way to work at a local hotel when they were attacked.

This is a very twisty case. Everyone is too scared to talk. It seemed the dead girl, Dina Hale, had a crush on her boss at the hotel but he is also AWOL. Dina’s house has been searched roughly. When they go to her bosses home they find his place trashed too and him, dead shot in the head. They need to find the other girl, the one that ran away. Josie finally has an idea that pans out and they do find her - but she, too, is totally terrified. What are they all afraid of. Some thuggish looking men have been seen lurking in a black SUV. Who are they? And what is everyone looking for?

There are many twists in this immersive thriller. People are willing to kill to keep a dangerous secret. Can Josie and Noah sort it all out before more people are killed? From the grisly opening prologue to the very end this story is full of drama and high stakes. There are ruthless men that will kill anyone who stands in their way and some young women caught in something huge they don’t understand.

Many series run out of steam before 15 books but Lisa Regan has managed to keep this series fresh and exciting. Many thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the much appreciated arc which I reviewed voluntarily and honestly.

An excellent reading experience! Local Girl Missing (Detective Josie Quinn #15) by Lisa Regan does not disappoint fans of the Josie Quinn suspense series. Josie and Noah are on their way home at the end of their honeymoon trip. In the dark, a teenage girl runs across the road in front of them. They stop to find out what is going on and are horrified to discover a man choking a girl in the depths of the woods. Josie startles the man and he runs away. Josie chases him while Noah tries to revive the girl. There are signs that another girl was in the abandoned car and could be in the woods needing help. This is the beginning of a non-stop action mystery with unexpected twists.
Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Lisa Regan for the opportunity to read this ARC of Local Girl Missing.

As a standalone or part of the series, Lisa Regan's book Local Girl Missing (Detective Josie Quinn Book 15) is a thrilling mystery. This is my first Lisa Regan book in this series and I was blown away by the quality of her writing. Upon finishing this book, I wondered why I had not read her Detective Josie Quinn books before. This being the 15th book in the series, it appears I have some catching up to do.

In Local Girl Missing Detective Josie Quinn and her husband stumble across a crime scene. One teenage girl is dead and another is missing. As they track the killer, they uncover a web of lies, secrets and danger. As a side note, all of this occurs in the first pages of the book, so readers should fasten their seatbelts. There is a wild ride ahead for them with Lisa Regan at the wheel.

While this is my first time reading a Josie Quinn novel, it definitely won't be my last! I'm sometimes skeptical of jumping into a character series without having read them chronologically, but the author provided enough needed backstory (without spending too much time on it), that I felt like I knew the characters. In "Local Girl Missing", Detective Josie Quinn is thrust into a crime as it's unfolding. I liked the fact that she actually came upon the crime as it was happening (as opposed to most detective stories, most of it is after the fact). It provided an immersive aspect of the crime that made me feel more invested in it (as if I was there when it was happening). Great read with some twists I definitely did not see coming, will be going back to read the rest of the Josie Quinn books!

This is book 15 in the Josie Quinn series and it's the first, certainly not last(!), book I've read. Detective Quinn and her partner Noah Fawley come back from their honeymoon and stumble upon a horrific scene where a girl ends up dead. From there on the story evolves into one of a pure thriller.

I was absolute hooked from the very first page - the gruesome events that took place. And, after that, it only kept on going - fast-paced, lots of suspense, twists of which some you did not see coming for some time. In short, an absolute thrill to read!
