this was my first book by this author, but it won't be my last. story has romance and mystery. a quick fun read..
Accidentally Working Class by Karly Lane was an entertaining read, full of twists and turns and some sneaky surprises. The story comprised many likeable characters and events that enthralled from one chapter to the next.
Quinn's character metamorphosis was interesting and her antics were a stand out. So too many other characters in the story have their own revelations, further adding to the story's gripping elements and telling moments. The character interactions were impressive and far from dull, and it was heart-warming how Quinn shows spunk and heart in her old versus new persona and life struggles throughout the story.
In all, Accidentally Working Class is another stand-out story by author Karly Lane.

Accidentally Working Class is a fun read from new to me author Karly Lane. It is a rom com with a bit of mystery thrown in. I especially enjoyed how Quinn's character evolved. Overall, this is a very enjoyable quick read.
I've never read anything by Lane in the past, but I'll be looking up her future books. This was a quick, fun read--one that is a great beach read option. I enjoyed connecting with Quinn/Amy and watching her grow throughout the story. She is an easy character to root for. It's a great reminder of how you should not be too quick to judge someone, as most people are more than you may realize at first glance. Quinn is a strong character, and the supporting characters are equally enjoyable. There is a bit of everything in this book, from rom-com to suspense.
If you enjoy books such as Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series, this is a book to add to your TBR pile.
What a fantastic escapism book.
Quinn Appleton’s socialite world is turned upside down when her grandmother cuts off all the family financial allowances, as she is unimpressed with their behaviour. But she does offer Quinn work in the family biscuit factory, with the proviso that Quinn becomes Amy Sinclair and starts at the bottom. If she can stick at for 6 months, her inheritance can be reinstated.
I just loved seeing Quinn/Amy grow as she reassesses her life and friends. This had a bit of everything from rom com, dislike to attraction, suspense.
It was a very easy read and had me turning the pages late into the night and left me in a happy place.
Thank you to Netgalley for a copy to read.
I was lucky to receive an advance copy of Accidentally Working Class by Karly Lane from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. I love this book although it did start off a bit slow for me but I stuck with it and then was unable to put it down. Such a great read. You will love it!
Told from the point of view of a granddaughter who after never working a day in her life, finds herself completely cut off from the family fortune. The story is funny and well told with a little bit of mystery and danger. Not your average rom com.
A very enjoyable weekend, summer, vacation, reading kind of book.
I went in knowing nothing, and hoping it wouldn't be too Schitt's Creeky because there are too many books who have been trying to do that in the past two years and they are either amazing or awful. This read falls perfectly into the mix of a great weekend read. I enjoyed Quinn, and while at first she is a little off putting, its the character back story and must be part of the way she is developed into this other person.
Definitely go into this read for a fun easy time with a quirky bunch of characters. Not going to lie, I hope there is a second book.
Modestly serviceable chick lit in the Kinsella vein.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC copy for my review.
A quick, fun read perfect for the long flights to vacation, or a comfortable night in. Think, Devil Wears Prada and Confessions of a Shopaholic do a rom-com, hidden identity tango.
Thank you to Karly Lane and Netgalley for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
