This turned out to be one of my favorite series. I loved everything about ON DESTINY from front to back. I can not be happier with how things ended for Amihanna and Lorne. Wish their story wasn't over, but I am happy with the ending all the same.

It took me a hot second, but I finally finished this series, and was it a journey! It’s so hard to believe all the things that happened in this series, but also not - when the books are as long as these were, it should be no surprise that the author fit so much content in 🤣. They might be long, but I think they’re well worth it.

The thing I always disliked about this series was how repetitive characters would be with certain phrases. I get that it’s important to the characters, but it was just too much, so I appreciated that there was a loooooot less of that from Amihanna in this book (even if Lorne started doing it, lol). I also appreciated the pacing of this book. Don’t get me wrong, it was still action-packed, but I also felt like it happened at a more tolerable pace instead of being 100% constant.

There were some TWISTS at the end (one major one comes to mind, but I don’t want to spoil it 😅) and I loved the surprises. I am so excited for Amihanna and Lorne to finally have the peace they’ve always needed. The ending to this series was a satisfying conclusion, and I’ll miss these characters, but I’m glad they can finally experience a world that isn’t so war-torn and sad.

I finally dove into this book. (I have a hard time when I know the book is the last in the series.) And so far, Aileen Erin has tortured Amihanna and Lorne and I was pretty wary as to what would happen in this installment.

Of course, I loved it! Great story. I did guess what Amihanna's fao'ana meant at the beginning.

In this fourth and final book of the Auntie Chronicles, Amihanna is now High Queen. She, her husband the King, and a rag crew from all over the galaxy work to defeat SpaceTech and save Earth from their dreadful rule. I really wish there was a fifth book...

I received this ARC for an honest review. First, this is not a stand alone book. I highly recommend this series. It’s complex, attention grabbing, and you never want to put the book down. Aileen Erin wrapped up the series perfectly. This series is about Amihanna and Lorne. Amihanna when she was a small child was lost in a future setting on Earth. She is from Sel’Ani. Her family was visiting earth when her mother and her got separated and lost on Earth because war broke out. Amihanna became a survivor and a leader. I’m not giving more background because everything is explained in the previous books. Which is a must read.
Lorne is also from Sel’Ani and they were friends when they were younger. His corrupt father was the king of Sel’Ani. Their fates had been tied since birth. There is so much I want to say, but I want you to read this series! I don’t like posting spoilers.
I loved this series and hope there will be some short stories about what their lives are like after the war. Aileen Erin is a must read author for me.

I will admit this one was a bit slow in the beginning for me. It did pick up as they made their way to Earth. Lorne finally got to see Amihanna in a leading light although he fought it the whole way. The book brings together all the forces to a satisfying conclusion.

It was wonderful to see the growth of Amihanna throughout the series. Such a wonderfully-broken, strong person. Every character in the series is fully fleshed - out and real. Although I'm going to miss having new stories about them, this was a great wrap-up. I couldn't be happier about the way things ended. Thank you so much for providing comfort reads for all of us.

I’m overjoyed and supremely satisfied with the ending of this story, however I’m also in mourning that we are moving on from Ami & Lorne.

This is the 4th full book in this saga (5th in sequence if you include In Command the 2.5 placed “novella”). It’s best read in sequence as all the story builds and you will get the most depth of understanding and satisfaction from this ending if you do.

This is the conclusion of Ami & Lorne’s journey to save both of their people from the evil empire that is SpaceTech.

We pick up almost exactly where we left off at the end of On Mission and then transition through situations of tension, stress, adrenaline, anger and anguish with moments interwoven that will make you smile and laugh as our High Royal pair reach the breaking point and finally take the fight to Earth.

It’s definitely a rollercoaster in how we get from point a to ending z in this one and along the way a lot of threads get tied off. We revisit some things with the perspective of time and everything that has happened since page one of book one, bringing the story full circle in the most amazing way.

Fingers crossed that we can visit with them in their Happily Ever After someday.

I requested an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley and was blessed to be able to read it. These are my honest feelings.

I love this series so much, it was something different from the Aileen Erin books I’d previously read, but it’s been just as addictive, just as fun, but I’m sad now that this is the last book of the series. I loved Ami and Lorne, they were just so perfect together. I loved all the supporting cast and crew , would love so,e future books about them, let’s hope Aileen decides to return to this fantastic world

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

On Destiny is the final installment in author Aileen Erin's Aunare Chronicles. The story revolves around two characters: Amihanna di Aetes, the new High Queen of Aunare and Lorne ni Taure, the High King of the Aunare. It has been 3 weeks since Ami nearly died after being exposed to a bio-weapon created by SpaceTech. Ami is still mourning the loss of her guards who sacrificed themselves to save her. But time moves on, and so doesn't the threat from SpaceTech.

When Ami first got to Sel’Ani, she never thought she’d have the full support of the Aunare, but she does. She never thought she would forgive her father Rysden for leaving her behind on Earth, but she has. She never thought that she’d fall in love, get married, or become the High Queen, but she did. She never thought that she’d be forced to return to Earth where she was hunted for 13 years, but that’s exactly what she’s doing.

After a visit from a Bactah dignitary who can control minds, Ami is told that in order to help her in her war on SpaceTech, she needs to find a way to remember the time before she spent on Earth with her mother hiding from SpaceTech. Ami must face her own past before she can deal with the future or she'll constantly feel as though she's not safe anywhere. Even if it forces her to face painful memories. Ami is always prepared to flee in a moments notice. She has go-bags everywhere that will allow her to escape in a moments notice.

Recently, Lorne and her guards have begun doing the same thing. Unfortunately for Ami and Lorne, their honeymoon ends too soon, and now allies have chosen a different side, which leads to attacks on the planet of Sel'Ani and other colonies which forces Ami to move up her plans on going to Earth. Ami also finds out that Declan and her ABQ crew is in big trouble. Declan has after being captured by his brother Jason who wants to use Declan to lure Ami into an inescapable trap on Earth.

The rest of the crew is in hiding or on the run. Ami knows the only way to stop her hated enemy, Jason Murtagh and SpaceTech, she needs to find a way to get humans, Aunare, and hybrids on Earth and its colonies to rise up and take back their freedoms. To do so, Ami will have to rely on her ABQ crew to get to places she needs to be. While on Earth, Lorne still has some serious regrets about not being able to find the girl he watched grow up, one who would be his rival in power when she grew up. So, he tends to be overly protective of her, and that often grates on my nerves.

The author ends the series on a pretty nice moment. I won't spoil it for you, but Ami's new Destiny is just beginning! It's also kind of fun watching Ami's best friend Roan, and Lorne's sister Nori, hit it off which makes Lorne's head explode. The only negative commentary I have about this series is Ami's fatalism. She often puts herself in harms way, and that leads to explosive moments with Lorne feeling that he's not strong enough to keep her out of trouble. Technically, this is the 5th installment in the series, but one of the books, In Command, is a novella that should be read between Off Balance and On Mission.

Aileen Erin is one of my favorite authors and I love this series. The sad part though, this is the last book of the Aunare Chronicles. Amihanna and Lorne were a perfect match. The action was non-stop and the author crafted an extremely satisfying ending. The only thing I wish was that some of the minor characters could have their own stories. I want to find out what happens to Declan, Roan, Nori, and the royal guards. They all deserve their HEA, but isn't that the sign of a well written book, it leaves you wanting more. A prequel for Ami's parents would be fantastic. An exciting book and series, definitely a winner!

The Aunare Chronicles has been a thrilling sci-fi adventure from start to finish with enough romance to swoon and action to delight. ON DESTINY is the stunning conclusion that far from disappoints, leaving the series in victory and the reader satisfied. A must-read for any and all fans of space, big tech overlords, alien kingdoms, and the ever-inspiring grit of humanity.

Well yeah, I loved reading this book! I dropped everything when I was approved for this ARC, but I had to reread the rest of the series, since I'd only read it the one time, and it's been years since I read the first two, and then I was able to dive straight into this one! And it was so freaking great!

I think this has to be a custom of mine, but this cover is absolutely stunning! This series has covers that hit right in that spot that I can't help but love, the colours are gorgeous, and the font of the title looks so great. I adore this covers!

Honestly, it was a bit nerve-wrecking reading this book, it's the last of the series, everything is coming together-and they're going to fight the war, they're going to go to Earth. Everything has been building up to it. So I was worried about how everything would go down-and if everyone would survive it all.

Amihanna and Lorne have been through a lot, separately, and together. And they both have some issues to work through, that being on Earth brings back up, and it was great to have those tense emotional moments when things were action packed tense.

I do wish that we could've had a bit of an explanation for that reveal in 35. Like, why it happened the way it did, but it was right near the end, and then wasn't mentioned in the clean up. Like I have a theory of a secret love child, but I could be wildly off base. I just want to know!

All in all, I loved how everything came together and wrapped up, I loved the place that we left these characters in (though I would've loved a flash forward epilogue like 10 years in the future, just to see how everyone is doing, how the peace was going, with Vyic and how that all resolved

Loved reading this book, and I really need to read more by Aileen Erin!
