I adore time-travel stories and this one stacks up with many of the memorable ones I’ve read. I loved Lachlann and Deidre and got so swept in their story. If you’re looking to lose yourself in a sweet story, look no further.
Lost in time, Lachlann must ask for Deidre’s help to get back to his own time before it’s too late. Lachlann is a man who’s traveled from 14th century Scotland to modern-day America, thanks to a tremor. How he got there, he has no idea. He’s wracked by terrible dreams and immense guilt. When Deidre buys the home next door, he’s captivated by her beauty. They share a love of gardening and he’s drawn to her. He tries to stay away but an unspoken bond pulls him back to her. He yearns for Scotland and his old life, but he needs help, Deidre’s help. Can he confide in her? Will she believe him? She has secrets of her own. As their love grows, so does the intrigue behind his traveling through time. An enemy hidden in the shadows will do anything to keep Lachlann and Deidre silent. Lachlann will have to choose between the past, present, and future before it’s too late.
Tremors Through Time is a medieval Scottish time travel romance I adored. From the very first page, I connected with the characters. The descriptive narration is so intricate, from the setting to the historical accuracy to the emotional tension, I couldn’t put it down. I found myself reading late into the night and dreaming about the story during the day. The romance is slow-burn with quite a bit of turmoil. The characters are flawed which makes for an unputdownable read. The only issue I had was with the ending. It appeared to be a tad rushed and abrupt. I’m not sure if this is a start of a series but it would’ve been nice for the author to clue in the reader either way. I secretly hope it is a series. Anastasia Abboud has done her research and her writing is immersive. Fans of Outlander, this is our next binge-read. Fans of medieval time travel romance, you’ll want to read Tremors Through Time. I look forward to reading more by Anastasia Abboud.
