Ever since stumbling upon the Forgotten Brotherhood series (and loving them!), I have been expanding my N.Y. Walters reads. After the dragons (excuse me: Drakon’s) and the wolves I have now discovered the Assassins ofGraves series. And holy cow!
What another great series! The Forgotten Brotherhood is still one of my favorites, but this one is smoking hot also! Sass is a totally badass woman, who is trained from a child to fight and murder targets. She is forced to do so by Artemis, who will otherwise hurt her (not by blood, but by bond) brother and sister. So, failure is not an option Sass’ latest assignment is to retrieve a Gravasian weapon. But the very hot stranger tries to get in her way. Spear needs to get his hands on the Gravasian weapon, because it is the missing link between his brother’s death and his murderer. But a very feisty woman is getting in his way. Sparks are flying between them, but both won’t budge in their mission. How will this end? In total NJ- style: the story keeps you guessing and the chemistry between the main characters is off the charts. Absolutely awesome!
Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

If you were a fan of author N.J. Walters' Marks Mercenaries then you might remember the Gravas world. This is the first book in a new series called Assassins of Gravas. This story features Vaden's brother Spear. Spear is an assassin on a mission to find weapons that are up for auction and a missing brother. The female protagonist is Sass. She is strong, resilient and an assassin who is also interested in the items coming up for auction and keeping her family members safe. The story has them working together to get the weapons and saving her family.
The story was good. As usual for the first book in the series, there is a lot of world building. This was done fairly well and did not slow the pace of the story. Sometimes this can be aggravating and that was not the case for this book. Spear and Sass were both interesting characters that keep you interested in their love story.
This book was a fun read that was action packed. I would highly recommend it.
I was provided an ARC through NetGalley for an honest review of the material.

What is not to love about a futurist book and this was all that and more. Loved it from start to finish. I wanted to see more of this author. Yeah this book.

I loved this story with Spear and Sass. Good conflict between the main characters. After reading this one, I had to go buy the rest of the series. Not sure how I feel about the king yet.

Oh my what a great read. Just the right amount of action, romance to keep you reading to the end. Spear is an assassin for a powerful planet. He’s searching for items stolen from his world. Sass is an assassin looking for the same items to save her family. Who gets to them first.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Spear’s Search is the first book in the Assassins of Gravas series and is an action-packed Sci-Fi Romance adventure that lights up the pages as it keeps the suspense and intrigue flowing at a fast pace.
When two assassins Sass and Spear find themselves hunting the same quarry the race is on to see who gets there first!
With its detailed world building and well written narrative I found the story to be a mesmerizing one as these two richly crafted characters discovers more than they bargained for after their paths cross delivering a spicy emotionally satisfying read.
