This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, from Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and #NetGalley. Thank you for the opportunity to preview and review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
Mystery, suspense, intriguing characters.
Stateless by Elizabeth Wein was a captivating story.
Stella North, was an interesting, enjoyable character.
Set in 1937 in beautiful Europe, Stella is chosen for Britain's first air race for young people.
When she is the only participating female pilot, and she knows everything is on the line.
Someone tries hard to disrupt the race in order to get a lead in the competition.
When the world is seeking encouragement and want more peace, Stella can't help but to feel hollow when the civil war is seething in Spain and the Nazis are demanding power.
Meant to be a peaceful sporting event could possibly turn deadly. Because each racer is hiding a disturbing past, and anyone one of them could very well be capable of murder... And that includes Stella herself.
WoW! What a read. The mystery and characters is what kept me glued to my Kindle.
With the pace of a mystery, fantastic characters that come alive, the plot is so well developed and laid out, this is literary perfection! And one that shouldn't be missed.
The secrets and betrayals will shock you and have you wanting more.
Now I'm off to find and read The Enigma Game in the Code Name Verity series.
