Great Reunion hosted by RaeAnne,
don't miss it!!
All is Bright by RaeAnn Thayne, part of the Hope’s Crossing series, is heartwarming story that will have you laughing, crying and warm your heart. This heartwarming, emotional story takes us on a journey into the lives of family members dealing with loss, pain, distrust, regrets, healing and love. This book had everything: close family supporting one another, heartwarming characters, heartbreaking pasts, and adorable kids.
Sage McKnight is an architect in her father’s firm, with an expertise in building or remodeling spaces that are inclusive for all abilities. Her most recent design is a total rebuild of a home to make it totally accessible for a former baseball star, Mason Tucker, with mobility disabilities after surviving a deadly accident. Sage and Mason are both dealing with baggage from their pasts, but together are able to heal and move forward together. There are sparks and sizzling chemistry as they spend time together. A secondary relationship, Taryn and Charlie, dealt with a break in their friendship after a car accident, with teenage Charlie driving buzzed, critically injured Taryn and caused the death of their third musketeer, Sage’s sister. They, too, need to recognize how strong they are together as they overcome their past challenges. There is an additional relationship that was rebuilt, that between Mason and the mother who abandoned him, leaving him to be raised by overly strict grandparents. The major theme throughout this story is forgiveness and how it opens the heart to allow love and healing within.
Ms. Thayne wrote a story that reaches the soul; the soul of her characters as well the soul of her readers. This wonderful, sweet, and amazing story was emotional, moving, tear inducing, filled with wonderful dialogue, endearing characters and the magic of Christmas, that is must read. I highly recommend All is Bright to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
All Is Bright is a sweet holiday contemporary romance by RaeAnne Thayne.
Mason Tucker is renovating his new home in Hope's Bay to accommodate his new reality as a wheelchair user. Two years ago, he lost his wife and unborn baby in a plane crash that left him an ambulatory wheelchair user and single father. He never expects to fall in love again, especially not with the architect heading the renovation. She's only in town for a short while to wrap up the project but the two have been building feelings since the beginning and can't ignore their growing feelings.
I feel in love with grumpy Mason. He was still emotionally and physically healing from something traumatic, and on top of that was juggling being a single parent and dealing with his tempestuous relationship with his estranged mother. The last thing he has time for is falling in love. I enjoyed Sage too, she made some mistakes in her past, but she's genuinely a good-hearted person. I was really happy that we were given both Mason and Sage's POV it helped strengthen my connection to both of them. Their romance is sweet and slow and nothing but heartwarming.
There is also a secondary romance thrown into the mix. I enjoyed Taryn's POV and her friends to lovers romance with her childhood friend Charlie. Unfortunately we only get her POV and their story is rushed. They really should have it their own book and received full attention and dual POV. It could have been emotional and beautiful, and I really think it was a missed opportunity.
Overall All Is Bright by RaeAnne Thayne was a charming small town holiday romance with low steam, family, hot chocolates and snow man building, helping others and satisfying happily ever after.
Thank you to Net Galley for the advanced copy of this book. I love RaeAnne Thayne books and I loved the Hope's Crossing series so I was so glad that this book is new to the series. This book did not disappoint! When reading this book you basically get two stories in one that ties up some loose ends for a couple of characters from the first part of the series. This book gets interesting as it embraces the difficutlies of being handicapped and how more people are becoming aware and it is being brought to the forefront after far too long the challenges these people have to deal with in their everyday life. The two main women characters in this book have both had adversities that they have dealt with in their lives and have been able to become stronger women for it. The two main male characters also have adversities both physical and emotional to get past. This is a great read which I devoured in no time at all. A great holiday story with everything you are looking for in a holiday romance!!
Commence the Christmas reading!! Thayne is an automatic read and buy author for me. All Is Bright is a special read. It’s full of special characters, some who have special needs. It’s a reminder for all of us to be grateful for what we have and the people we have in our lives. Hope’s Crossing is the new home to Mason, who is somewhat of a Christmas Grinch. Sage, his architect, helps people refurbish their homes for special accommodations, but can she soften him?
This book brings Resolution to a precious story in the Hope Crossings series. It’s a feel good read. Holiday magic is sprinkled throughout. I liked all the giving in the book and the sparkle of the characters. No one creates a special feel good community like RaeAnne Thayne.
I can’t say enough good things about this book. It was like going home again to Hope’s Crossing, or a wonderful first visit for new readers. Raeanne Thayne manages to capture human frailty, compassion, and love and roll it together with anger, worry, and grief to come up with a great life for her characters.
All is Bright returns to Hope’s Crossing where readers get to meet up once again with Sage McKnight and Taryn Thorne, both teenagers in the last of the series. Ten years later they are adults, and we get to see how their families have grown over the years. Both find love in this wonderful book. Would love another visit with this wonderful cast of characters!
What a beautiful holiday story to get you into the spirit! 5 stars for this one!
Sage is back in Hope's Crossing for the holidays, and also to check out on the renovation project for their special client Mason Tucker and his daughter Grace. Mason had survived a helicopter crash that claimed the lives of his wife and unborn son, as well as the pilot. Sage's specialty is designing homes that are more accessible to those with difficulties such as Mason has. She has had a crush on him since she took on his project, but he's still bitter about his accident, and not sure he deserves anything, let alone her love, after all, he can barely walk, what would she want with him.
Sit back and enjoy their story as it unfolds, along with Charlie and Taryn's story! I loved this book, great story line of healing, and moving on or trying to in both cases. Don't miss out on this one!
I have not read any other books in the Hope’s Crossing series. While it reads fine as a standalone, many of the secondary characters most likely were featured in their own book in the series and that probably would’ve made more of an impact knowing their background – not a necessity, but I’m the kind of reader that likes to read an entire series. Plenty of background of those characters were given so I still enjoyed their part of the storyline. Dual POV’s with a secondary couple also featured. I thought the town residents were charming and loved how they rally around those that need help. I adored grumpy Mason and the spunky and compassionate Sage. I really enjoyed this story.
ARC received via Harlequin Romance Blog Tour for www.comfychairbooks.com
Mason Tucker has faced some of the toughest days of his life and has came out on the other side of them a shell of the man he once was. An accident took his wife and child and his ability to walk, and this hits hard for the former athlete who was use to using his body to earn a living and provide for his family. Now he finds himself stuck in a chair he despises and faced with many new challenges that require the help of a professional, an architect named Sage McKnight.
Sage promises to give him a home that he can move comfortably in without limitations... but she gives him something else too, a second chance at love that he never thought he'd have!
The pages of All is Bright will touch your heart and stir up all the holiday feels you can handle! This pairing may not have been looking for love, but when it found them it was possible to ignore the signs... even if Mason wanted to. Mason had been dealt a devastating blow and love was about the furthest thing from his mind, but by some miracle Sage was able to show him it was possible, that he could be happy again. She pushed his buttons at every turn and never let him give up, she was the support he never knew he needed. It was truly a beautiful thing watching him heal his heart and open it to love again. I loved every single second of this one, it's well penned words definitely hit their mark! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
A truly inspiring Christmas story.
The romance was sweet. The characters delightful and the plot absolutely seamless.
I learned so much about those of us with different abilities and how those differences are adjusted for. I was sorry it ended, my highest compliment.
I’ll say right up front All Is Bright is going to be one of my favorite Christmas themed books in the CR genre. The trope of grumpy hero meets optimistic and unstoppable heroine doesn’t alway work for me but in Thayne’s hands it was a win. Sage and Mason have separately faced very difficult emotional and physical challenges but are at the point of moving forward in their lives.
There are sub-plots involving interesting secondary characters, complicated families, and regular daily life. I enjoyed it all and especially appreciated the epilogue that put the bow on this gift of a novel.
If you’re a fan of author RaeAnne Thayne, contemporary romance with a Christmas theme, and a mountain town setting you’ll want to read All Is Bright.
A former professional baseball player, Mason Tucker has physical challenges and hires Sage McKnight to make his home a haven where he and his daughter can live comfortably. Sage is a brilliant architect who has a passion for inclusive design, building homes for people with physical challenges. Her YouTube channel raises money to continue this work for those who have the need but not the funds, and she hopes to feature Mason's showcase home. Longing ensues with the festive charm of Christmas in Thayne's town of Hope's Crossing. The part of the book involving Mason and Sage was heartwarming. But with the layers of background information, I felt I was getting mired in those layers and not able to enjoy the book as I had wanted. Taryn and Charlie's story possibly could have been better served as a separate book. Thanks to the publisher Harlequin Trade Publishing, author RaeAnne Thayne and NetGalley for this ARC.
All Is Bright is a fun and sweet holiday read! I love that the story was set a Christmas but the whole book wasn't about Christmas Sage is an architect hoping to make her own way using her YouTube channel to show case her builds. She's currently working for her toughest client yet an injured baseball player. Sage is determined to win him over and hopes a little Christmas magic will help her. Fans of DIY shows and Christmas will love this story!
All is Bright by RaeAnne Thayne is another one of her wonderful Christmas themed romantic stories. Sage McKnight, our heroine and architect, arrives home to Hope’s Crossing, to finalize her work on the special mansion she has overseen. She is thrilled to meet her father there, and together they are amazed how wonderful everything is, and being Sage’s best work. It has been a major challenge, as her client is hard to deal with.
Mason Tucker, our hero, is a former pro baseball player, who is now crippled due to a plane crash. His daughter Grace, lives with him, and they are both anxious to move into their new house, which has many special enhancements to allow Mason to move around in his wheelchair, as well as a wonderful pool for exercising. Mason is very angry and grumpy dealing with people, and still grieving the loss of his wife and unborn child in the plane crash, though he is pleased with how the house is looking great.
Taryn is Sage’s good friend, and both have been through a lot of trauma and angst, when they were teenagers, when a car crash killed Sage’s sister Layla’ and Taryn spending a long time recovering. Both Sage and Taryn have had major hurdles to get past, with Taryn trying to convince Charlie (he was the driver of the car) to move on, but she has not been successful, and knows how much she loves him. Will they ever find a way to be together.
All is Bright was heartwarming, delightful, great characters, a wonderful couple that we rooted hard for; which includes romance, heartbreak, tragic past, physical and emotional story throughout. I loved everything about this story, with so many emotions, especially with Mason, who slowly comes out of his anger mode, and his opening his heart to Sage. Loved it. All is Bright was so very well written by RaeAnne Thayne.
Looking for a new Christmas Romance? Let me suggest, All Is Bright by RaeAnne Tyane. Readers will be visiting Hope’s Crossing again and have the pleasure of reading about two different couples. First, we have Sage and Charlie. Sage is an architect who is remodeling a home for Charlie. Charlie was a major league baseball player who was in a plane crash. As a result of the crash, Charlie loses his ability to walk and his wife, who is pregnant, dies in the crash. Then we have Taryn and Charlie. Charlie just recently returned to Hope Valley. He cannot forgive himself for a terrible accident that he caused when he was a teen. Taryn, who is a counselor at the local middle school has always loved Charlie but he does not seem to be interested. Will there be two new couples pairing up in Hope Crossing?
Read and find out!

Love and romance...friends and family. This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the electronic review. I like this book. I like books by this author. This is a quick fun read with likable characters. Settle in a comfy chair, grab a warm afghan, a cup of steaming herbal tea...enjoy an afternoon lost in the story of this book...Fun read.
All Is Bright by RaeAnne Thayne I did enjoy Sage and Mason's part of the book. The background information on the secondary characters and the lackluster interaction between Taryn and Charlie slowed down the story and became repetitive. While having enjoyed the previous books in the Hope's Crossing series, this isn't one of my favorites. However am looking forward to visiting Hope's Crossing again in future books.
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
This story is set in small town Hopes Crossing. There is a great cast of characters. The story line is a romance with a happily ever after ending. Perfect for an afternoon on the beach. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
