This is a great insight into the life of Jeremy Clarkson, written by his PA. As an avid Top Gear/Grand Tour fan, I am always interested in Jeremy and his work, so I was very excited to read this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Jeremy and the gang, and their fast paced lifestyle in the public eye, as well as seeing what goes on behind the scenes. I found it all very amusing, adventurous and interesting. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

For many years I have been watching Jeremy Clarkson as a Top Gear host and a panellist on various other shows. I have often found him entertaining on his own, and with his colleagues Richard Hammond and James May.

However, this is the first book I have read, written by one of his partners, and it gives a fascinating insight into how the 'other half' live. It is clear that whilst Jeremy gives the impression of just turning up and being able to produce TV/Newspaper gold - it is far from it, and works like a dog.

The book is well-authored and covers everything from the infamous punch to parties on private islands.

The only thing that stopped it from being a 5-star book was the over-reliance on 'six degrees of separation' to add unnecessary clarity to how all the famous people referred to are connected. After the first couple of mentions - we got it—no need to mention it in every other chapter.

I highly recommend this read to anyone who loves or has followed Jeremy Clarkson.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Ad Lib for an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I wouldn't read this again and I don't recommend try . It didn't seem to go anywhere and lacked structure. Not too sure who this was. Written for.

The premise of this book written by someone who had travelled with Jeremy Clarkson over the years during his Top Gear and subsequent Grand Tour shows is what first drew me to select this book. Instead, I was left feeling all kinds of rage at the author of this behind-the-scenes book who shared their part in many of his major life events. Not the book I was expecting and not one that I'd choose to read again.

I loved watching ‘Top Gear’ and I’m definitely a fan of Jeremy Clarkson, his dry humour appeals!
Reading this book was a little difficult, I expected more about Jeremy’s life, not the authors! The story gives details of the rich and famous people that the author and Jeremy mingled with whilst in a relationship.
This book would have appealed more if it concentrated on the topic at hand!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’m sorry to say that I struggled to finish this book. I couldn't relate to the writing style and was not drawn into the book in the first few chapters. I like to get hooked into the storyline quickly or I lose interest. I wasn’t sure where the story was going and nothing happened to hold my interest and make me feel I wanted to keep reading.

One of the most self-absorbed books I've ever experienced. I only made it through 33 pages before the OMG I met this person, I went to the party, etc wore me out. I'm not sure who would enjoy this book.

Good grief! Talk about trying to make a penny off the camel's back.

I like Clarkson. I've enjoyed a lot of hid work through the decades. This, lucky for him, is not his work. It blew chunks!

An ex prattle on and on about rubbing backs with celebrities and royalty while dating Jeremy. That's all it is, name dropping. It's garbage! And the writing is too.

What an awful book.

As big, loud, and cumbersome as he is I quite like Jeremy Clarkson. He's funny and entertaining.

The woman that wrote this book is spitting venom on every page. It's obvious she's out to make a few bob on the back of his name and the name-dropping becomes quite dull.

She continually refers to herself as looking like Princess Diana, Yeah right.

What a terrible book, what an even terrible woman.

My thanks to NetGalley and Ad Lib Publishers for a copy of “ The Wonderful world Of Jeremy Clarkson “ for an honest review.
Looking at other people’s reviews of this book I appear to be in the minority, because I quite enjoyed it .
I agree it isn’t particularly well written, and tends to keep going off in different directions but many people complain the book isn’t much about “ The Big Man “ but more about the endless partying and overindulgence.
As I already disliked Jeremy Clarkson , for me this wasn’t a problem . I just find it bewildering how he has been able to have become so popular , and wealthy. I did find the little digs by Phillips Sage towards her ex amusing
I just read this a light , entertaining book , loved the name dropping, and I’m glad I don’t lead such a shallow life.
I couldn’t give it 4 stars but a definite 3.5 for me

This really is one of the worst books I have ever received from NetGalley. Very poorly written and completely uninteresting. I was foolish to pick this one.

A quick read, written by a lady who met and had a relationship with Jeremy pre his being famous and details his rise to fame until they split up, it is full of parties and famous names, not really about Jeremy the person.

This was such a fantastic read about what ii is like living with the big man and the fun parties and people they met along the way. Yet again Philipa Sage does not disappoint us with her and Jeremy's antitics that had me laughing and smiling throughout. I just love her style of writing making this book a real page turner that I had to finish in one sitting. As you can imagine living and follow the life of Jeremy is a real roller coaster ride as you can definitely tell from reading this book and her previous book. She definitely living a very full and never ending fun life meeting lots or very interesting people and places. I especially loved the chapter called the naughty table. These fun and very interesting story's made at a book that I could not put down and a book I will pick up time and time again whenever I just need a pick me up. It you have ever wondered what it is like living with Jeremy Clarkson then I strongly recommend reading this book as you won't be disappointed. It is such a brilliant insight as to what it is like for the rich and famous with there endless parties and fantastic trips and in Jeremy and Philipa case lots of work and lots of parties definitely burning the candle at both ends can lead to some interesting stories. I really hope you enjoy this book just as much as I did.

Only the highest of praise goes out to the author and publishers for bringing us this fantastic insight into the life of PHILIPA SAGE AND JEREMY CLARKSON. A fantastic life quite literally in the fast lane.

I have my fingers crossed for more books on there antics.

We all know Jeremy Clarkson is like marmite, and I happen to be between those who love him. That's basically why I requested this book.
It might appeal to you if you like tales of lavish parties with famous people, but I'm sorry to say I've found it a bit boring, unfortunately. I would have liked to know more about Mr Clarkson, who is the reason why I wanted to read the book.
All in all a quick read that you could find entertaining if you like the genre.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The book is a different style to a lot of the ones you’ll have read about clarkson or any other celebs, a different side to Jeremy by clearly someone who knows him differently to the wider public. A hard one to rate but a nice quick one to add to your book tally

Let me explain why i wanted to read this book first, i am a big fan of Jeremy Clarkson, i don't really care for cars, i mean for me they have wheels and you put a key in them a they run and their biggest difference is that they come in different colors hahah (yeah i am that basic) but top gear was a show that i enjoyed a lot watching because Jeremy Clarkson is really a funny host, he gives us a side of him really competitive and kind of rude but in a funny way, so whatever is that Clarkson works on (and also for Hammond and May) i watch, i really enjoy the grand tour, Clarkson’s farm, the great escapists, James may on japan, you call it, the boys are on it (even if alone), i watch it.

Now onto the book, when I requested this book I thought this would be kind of Jeremy memories, but you know what, this should have been called “my life in the wonderful world of Jeremy Clarkson”… this goes around Phillipa, how she wrecked Jeremy's marriage and got him to divorce his wife, leave his children to come live with her (not with this kind of words) and then how she envisioned his world, all the famous people that gravitate around Jeremy and her reaction to them… of course she mentions Jeremy, but is not really about him… it is about her and the things she enjoyed having while around Jeremy… she also thinks she is/was a look alike of princess Diana yeah not really sure about that…

I felt a bit disappointed with this book because it wasn't what I was let to believe it would be about… I really advice to change the tittle to “my life in the wonderful world of Jeremy Clarkson” because it gives a better insight of what you can find in the book…

Thank you NetGalley for the free ARC and this is my honest opinion…

If you enjoy reading page after page after page of celebrity name dropping and tales of one lavish, over the top party after another, you might enjoy this book. Personally, I found it completely hedonistic, vapid, and generally disgusting. In one of the opening scenes, the author vomits into her handbag after drinking too much. It goes on in that vein until the last page of the book, when the author (who's having an affair with Jeremy Clarkson all this time), tells you succinctly that she broke up with him because she couldn't keep up.

This gets the dubious honor of being the worst book I've ever reviewed for Netgalley. Awful.
