I love Elizabeth Bromke but I find some of her stories I just can’t get into. Second Chances at Brambleberry Creek is one of them. I really wanted to love it and kept trying to finish, but unfortunately this book was just not for me. It wasn’t bad and I’d recommend you give it a chance, I just couldn’t for personal reasons.
I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a review and opinions are my own.
I liked this 2nd story of Brambleberry Creek so much more than the first. All of the elements of a Hallmark movie contained in this story. A return to a small town, a new life and goals, secrets, mystery and love. Enjoyable read.
This is a good book. It is a story of the Cole family clan. It has a grandfather and grandmother, two daughters and a one son, three granddaughters and two grandsons. The story is about the family starting a winery on family land. How you need your family’s help. It is a story about love no matter the age.
It is a story that focus on different characters in a family and their own relationship and issues. Morgan trying to figure out the recipe left behind by her grandpa and trying to take care of the grapes. She together with her boyfriend, Emmet and cousin Amber embark on a journey that tell the story of how they worked together to Morgan with the wine recipes.
This book carry the story of second chance, family ties, friendship and love where everyone deserves a fresh start after an event that threatened to tear a family apart. Overall it is heartwarming read to me with great characters and storyline

This book is one of those I had to read a bit ,put it down for a while then read a bit more & till today when I finished it ! There are a jumble of Characters all carrying various Family Secrets but I'm sad to say rather bland at times there was little depth to them hence the Pick up & put down & that's why I've only given the Book 3 stars . #NetGalley, #GoodReads, #FB, #Instagram, #Amazon.co.uk, #<img src="https://www.netgalley.com/badge/358a5cecda71b11036ec19d9f7bf5c96d13e2c55" width="80" height="80" alt="100 Book Reviews" title="100 Book Reviews"/>, #<img src="https://www.netgalley.com/badge/ef856e6ce35e6d2d729539aa1808a5fb4326a415" width="80" height="80" alt="Reviews Published" title="Reviews Published"/>, #<img src="https://www.netgalley.com/badge/aa60c7e77cc330186f26ea1f647542df8af8326a" width="80" height="80" alt="Professional Reader" title="Professional Reader"/>.
This story picks up right after Home to Brambleberry Creek ends. Morgan Jo has found her grandpa's recipe book for his homemade wines and wants to use her them to open a winery on the property, but his instructions are far from complete. Amid all the difficulties of learning to care for the fruit and trying to figure out grandpa's recipes, Morgan wonders if her boyfriend Emmet will continue to support her in following this dream.
Meanwhile, Morgan Jo's cousin Amber, her partner in the wine endeavor, has a big wake up call that knocks her for a loop--one of the cousins has caught Amber's long-time fiancé Grant kissing someone else!! He seems to be under the assumption that kissing isn't cheating but Amber disagrees and kicks him out! (You go girl!) Now Amber has a second chance to find someone who will truly love her.
Like the previous book we get a dual timeline, so the reader gets the history of the girls' grandpa Bill and how and why he started to make his wine. The story is also told from multiple points of view--Morgan Jo and Amber. I loved how the cousins stood up for Amber when she threw her cheating fiancé out, and how they and their friends worked together to help Morgan Jo with the wine recipes.
This book is all about second chances. Second chances in life, love, and figuring out what you want to do. It's also about family and friends helping each other. There are still several family mysteries to be solved in the next book and I can't wait to read it.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher Bookouture via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
If you enjoy reading about love, second chances and friendships, you will love Second Chances at Brambleberry Creek.
From the moment I began reading I was drawn in by the writing, the characters, the drama, romance, and breathtaking moments of this story. The characters and settings are real and believable. It's like stepping right into their lives.
This book will keep you staying up late getting lost in it! When you're done reading it leaves you anxiously waiting for the next book. You will devour it. This is a wonderful story that is so interesting and keeps you wanting to turn the pages. Yet it’s one of those books that you want to read it slowly to savor it.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
This was tough. I didn’t read or do my research to see if this was a series. Thats my mistake.
I felt like this book left us hanging. There are so many unanswered questions and I’m confused. However, I now know this is a series and I hope our questions are answered in the next book. Which I will be reading because I need to know what happens!!
It was hard because I didn’t know the characters back stories so it sort of got confusing. Had I known I don’t think it would have been that hard for me.
I did like this book and I’m looking forward to the next one!
Second Chances at Brambleberry Creek is the second in the series and continues where the first book ends. This time around, though, we primarily hear from Bill, the grandfather of the family, Amber, one of Bill’s grandchildren, and Morgan Jo, who was our protagonist in the first book.
Life doesn’t seem to happen quickly in Brambleberry Creek, but before you know it, the book has flown by, relationships have started and ended and new projects are afoot. I loved how, in the present day, the family are invested in discovering how their grandfather made his wine, his recipes and methods and then, back in 1992 we follow Bill’s process of recording the same thing, to ensure his grandchildren can follow in his footsteps.
Although part of a series, Second Chances at Brambleberry Creek can also be read as a stand-alone, but I’d recommend reading Home to Brambleberry Creek first to discover the backstory of all the characters. I’m looking forward to reading the last part of the series over the coming months to discover what Elizabeth Bromke has in store for her loveable characters.
I am lucky enough to be a part of Books on Tour for this book, so thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of Second Chances at Brambleberry Creek by Elizabeth Bromke..
Amber Lee Taylor has lived her whole life in Brambleberry Creek. She is surrounded by life long friends and her entire family. She is extremely happy with her life and the direction she is going. But when she finds out that her fiancée Grant is cheating on her she is devastated and her perfectly planned out future no longer exists. She is heartbroken and decides to move into her family’s old dilapidated farmhouse just outside of town. The timing is perfect actually, as her family needs to do something to save the farmhouse because it isn’t making any money. Amber decides to start a new wine business with her cousins. It is exactly the change Amber needs in her life while at the same time saving the farmhouse.
I love stories of second chances and opportunities of starting over. This is a well written story of exactly that. It is heartwarming and inspirational and is filled with wonderful characters. This story hits all the feels and will have you laughing and tearing up in the same sentence. This book is full of family, friends old and new, hope, broken dreams and dreams come true. This is the second installment in the Brambleberry Creek Series and it was just as amazing as the first book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading the next book in this series. The description of Brambleberry Creek is so beautifully written that it makes me want to visit. I loved this story cover to cover and I definitely recommend this book.
Thank you Elizabeth Bromke for such a wonderful addition to the Brambleberry Creek Series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it has a great storyline with absolutely warm and sensational characters and I highly recommend it.
Though I haven’t read the first book in the series, I was immediately drawn into the story and wanted to know more about all the characters. I loved how the book moved between the generations of the family, as Amber and Morgan try to find out the secrets of their grandfather’s wine. This is vital information for them to get their winery going – as the income from that will help to save their family home.
Amber’s break up with Grant, seems to be just what she needed to move forward in a more focused way to go after her dreams. But her confusion about her past, especially how her father suddenly abandoned his family also weighs her down. Could her find of her grandfather’s notebook and the subsequent discovery of a box full of VHS tapes be the key? To convert the tapes, she gets in touch with Callum, and is drawn to him. Could this relationship be her second chance at love and the key to her happiness?
Meanwhile Morgan who is plagued by her past failures, is determined not to let the winery business fail. Will her boyfriend, Emmet, stand by her side through it all? Will the winery be Morgan’s second chance to make things work?
There were so many characters and so many mysteries in this story, that I’m dying to read the next book in the series to know how they are resolved.
Great characters, good storytelling, romance, second chances, secrets, mystery and history, make for a very interesting read.
A Heartwarming tale of Friendship, family, and love!
Amber was left heartbroken after her fiancé, Grant, was caught cheating on her. Kissing counts, Grant! She retreats to her favorite place- her family's farmhouse. The farmhouse holds so many memories, scents, and warmth. Wanting to help her family make money, Amber dives in to make a new wine business and in the process discovers her grandfather's notebook.... Meeting Callum was also a plus!
Is Amber about to get a second chance???
This is the second book in a series but worked very well for a stand-alone book for me. But I will admit, that after reading this one, I want to go back and read the first. The characters are so well drawn and interesting that I easily found myself invested in the story wanting to know more about their pasts and present. I loved how Amber's family was there for each other, giving support and insight.
This was a pleasure to read from cover to cover. Elizabeth Bromke is a wonderful storyteller who has created characters I enjoyed spending time with. She had me feeling for them, cheering for them, and wanting to know more. Can't wait for the next book in the series!
Plus - that cover!

Bookouture,

I will post my review to my blog, platforms, BookBub, B&N, Kobo and Waterstone closer to pub date.
This is the second book of the Brambleberry Creek series and it was an absolutely delightful read. I do suggest you read the first book before reading this one as this picks up where the first book left off. In the first book, we saw more of grandma's story whereas in this one it's grandpa who we learn more about. We also see wonderful character development as the story progresses. These characters and their story really come to life with Ms. Bromke's excellent storytelling. Past and present tangle together as the story captivates you with mystery and family drama. The book brings exactly what I've come to expect from Ms. Bromke - an entertaining and wholesome story that will captivate and pull at your heartstrings and leave you with a warm feeling afterward. A great addition to the series. I am happy to recommend this book!
Many thanks to Bookouture, Netgalley, and Ms. Bromke for providing a complimentary copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.
This is the second book in the Brambleberry Creek trio. It was a total joy to be back amongst the friends I've met in Brambleberry Creek, Kentucky while reading, Home to Brambelberry Creek, the first book in this series.
The book is such a pure delight, so grab your hot coffee or sweet tea because once you start reading you won't want to stop until you're done.
Now Brambleberry has it's ups and downs but these same folks will have your back any time you have a problem. This book has taken me on an emotional roller coaster. It has it's share of drama and secrets, plenty of secrets and a big cliff hanger but it's love, romance, understanding, caring, friendships, and down home cooking. The perfect get away read you need in your life right now. I absolutely will be reading the last book in the series as soon as I can.

Second Chances at Brambleberry Creek is a wonderful addition to Elizabeth Bromke’s Brambleberry Creek Series. This one picks up right where the first one leaves off. The characters, new and old, continue to be entertaining and also continue to develop as the story goes on. Ms. Bromke fills this one again with mystery, family drama and secrets, then adds a very mysterious notebook and the story prevails. It intertwines past and present and grabs you from the first page and won’t let go until the last., leaving you wanting the next book in the series! An excellent story teller, Ms. Bromke has a captivating series and does not disappoint. I highly recommend this book and series!

This is one of those book I wanted to read based on the cover. I wanted to be in that place and didn't even check the plot.
As a matter of fact I thoroughly enjoyed the heartwarming and well plotted story. It made me smile and root for the characters.
I also learned it's part of a series and this means other lovely covers and story.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
Somehow I picked this book upright in the middle of a trilogy. But that's hasn't deterred me from enjoying it and made me want to read the first one asap. It handles another main character in each book, so I can still read it as a standalone, in my opinion.
I had never read a book by the author before and I was so pleasantly surprised when I started it. The prose just sucks you into that small town vibe and its mixed characters. I liked that while the main topic is about a family and their heritage left by grandpa and his notes, but also it's open about being cheated on and trying to take that second chance at love given by this opportunity.
I don't know if I would be so courageous to take on a project such as the winery but I liked the way the author combines reliable scenes with a bit of fictional ones, because I’m sure that I could not be able to come up it is a plan so easy and so quickly, but that's on me.
Charming, beautiful and sweet story. That’s how I would sum up this story.
🆓📖Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy and my spot on this blog tour.
This is the second book in this series. It was nice being back in Brambleberry Creek with my friends. This book goes back and forth in time, but it’s very easy to keep up with what’s happening and how it all plays in together. Morgan Jo is trying so hard to succeed as is Amber in her own way. The cousins show what family is all about by being there for each other. I love how the storyline is proceeding and can’t wait to find out what happens next with these wonderful characters.
This book felt so good to read. It was a book that made me loose all track of time while I was reading.
Second Chances at Brambleberry Creek had me from the first word and held me to the end. It gave me so much more insight about the family and the story was told in such a perfect way that it left me eager to read what happens next to all the characters in the story. The book has everything in it to make for a great book- friends- family- drama- secrets and it all melds together so expertly.
This is going to be a favorite series for many readers.
Thank you NetGalley, Elizabeth Bromke and Bookouture for the book
Second Chances at Brambleberry Creek. This is my personal review.
