A sweet story of young single mother Nessie trying to find a spot for her and her daughter. Doesn't help when her ex-mother in law is out to sabotage her to get custody. It is when Nessie meets Gabriel, the one who is trying to destroy her family's last home, that things get more complicated. I really enjoyed this one and found it hard to put down. Would recommend. A great summer read.
I like this book…I like the main character, a real worker and planner…this book was sent to me by Netgalley for review…it is a cannot put down cozy story…love and romance possibly…secrets…family history…sadness and happiness…cozy up in a comfy chair and enjoy this quick read…
Every family has a history. It’s a mixture of happy and sad memories. You want to gather as much heirlooms as possible. Sometimes it’s something small like a photo or a piece of jewellery. That’s easy. You put the photo in a pretty album or frame. You wear the jewellery or keep it safe in a box.
What if your legacy is a crumbling cottage on a deserted beach and someone is trying to take it away from you? Would you let it go without a fight or would you accept the challenge in order to rescue it and secure your and your daughter’s future?
Is a crazy plan, but Nessa is determined. She will see it through even if she has to take some decisions she is not happy with. After all it’s for a good cause and what is thirty days in comparison to the rest of your life? It’s peanuts, right?
Readers who have visited Heaven’s Cove before know it’s a lovely place by the sea. The people are friendly and always ready to help a fellow villager.
Everything goes to plan until that call in the middle of the night. Is it over or does Nessa still stand a chance?
Parents sometimes think they know what is best for their children or they put them on a pedestal. They refuse to accept the truth. Maybe it’s time for them to throw the blinkers away.
Will Nessa and Gabriel find their way to the future they want and maybe a way to each other’s heart?
Sit back, feel the sun on your face, smell the briny air. Laugh and cry, but above all enjoy this lovely story. 5 stars
Thank you
