I immediately loved the feeling of this SF world in Made of Stars. Look, I heard Bonnie and Clyde in space and started running, ok? If you love not only rebellions, outlaws, and a bit of trouble, but also those characters who never wanted to be heroes? Then Made of Stars is for you. A huge theme, reflected throughout the book, is this idea of when we will speak up. Often it's not easy, it's more than difficult to speak up against a system of power. We risk ourselves, our homes, our families.

I was so very excited for this book and though I really enjoyed the romance, overall it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I liked both Ava and Shane a lot and it was fun to see how ruthless they could be. Cyrus was more of a main character than I expected and I didn’t like his chapters as much, so that brought my enjoyment down because it was a struggle to get through his POVs. The pacing was a bit erratic and I just wasn’t a fan of the ending at all. I don’t usually enjoy endings like this and this book unfortunately was not an exception. Disappointed!

This. Was. EPIC. And completely heartbreaking. That ending destroyed me, even if we all know how bonnie and clyde ends. But we won't talk about that. What I will talk about is that perfect slow burn romance and how precious Jared is. I've never needed two people to get together so badly and then they finally did and their chemistry was off the charts. I also really liked Cyrus and Lark's romance and banter as well. I loved the space setting and the worldbuilding and normally I'm not a huge action fan but i even liked the fight scenes! If you're a fan of fantasy, adventure, space, and rogue couples, check it out.

Sci-fi is usually hit or miss for me, but the sci-fi elements of this book felt so background that I didn't even care it's technically a "Space Book." The real focus is on the characters (as it should be because they are truly fabulous) and their action-packed, emotional journeys. I'm honestly shocked I haven't heard much about this book? It feels like everything you could possibly want in a YA debut.

It's so rare to find a book you devour in one sitting. This is the perfect blend of action and heart and I wanted so much more! I can't find any information on if this is a series or not, but I would sacrifice my first born for a sequel.

Thanks to penguin teen for the ARC.

Unfortunately I had to DNF at 35%. I’m just bored. It’s VERY clear the authors *trying* to be cool??? Like. It’s a lot of “and then Bonnie did this really cool thing” but not actually showing her doing really cool thing???
Example: she goes into the prison and gives Clyde a gun. But then next thing you know Clyde shows up at her spaceship? WHERE IS THE ACTION OF HIM GETING OUT?
Example two: Bonnie: oh I should steal that spaceship. Next chapter. Clyde: oh wow Bonnie showed up in super cool space ship.

Like…bruh. Is this a joke?

Then the worldbuilding? I kept forgetting it was a sci-fi half the time. So yeah take that as you will.

Honestly I was super excited for this book because like cmon? Bonnie and Clyde in space sounds so cool. So for the storytelling to just flop so hard I was pretty sad.

Honestly don’t waste your time

Bonnie and Clyde in space? How would you not want to read this? This was a great, fast paced book. I absolutely fell in love with these characters, and was quickly hooked into the plot. I did not want to put this book down. I was actually sad when it was over.
