Do I Know You is a book I feel many people will be able to relate to. I thoroughly enjoyed this book on every level. I was routing for Eliza and Graham to re-kindle their love for one another right from the start. I won’t spoil this for anyone but I found this to be an unputdownable book. It was very engrossing and perfectly well written! It was honest, raw, and heartfelt. I absolutely loved it. All the stars!!💗

Thank you to NetGalley and to Berkley publishers for this ARC. I definitely recommend this to others!

Eliza and Graham are celebrating their five year anniversary at a resort courtesy of Graham’s parents- but celebrating might not be the most accurate term. They have grown apart and have gotten to the point that they can barely carry a conversation with each other. With the current state of their relationship, it isn’t too surprising when another resort guest mistakes them for strangers and introduces them to each other. However, they decide to play along and start getting to know each other all over again. Will it be enough to save their marriage?

There were truly so many things I loved about this book. I love already married romances and hearing mention of a main character couple who met on a dating app! The dual POV drew me into this story so quickly and gave me a better understanding of the issues they were both facing. The chemistry between Eliza and Graham and the care they showed for each other was so believable and had me rooting for them.

I thought that no book from these authors would top The Roughest Draft for me but I was wrong! The romance in this one is SO sweet and I enjoyed this immensely.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for the advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!

I liked Eliza and Graham both as characters. Their growth felt authentic to them. Eliza’s family issues felt shallow, though, and were detracting from the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for the ARC.

Thank you to Berkley Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! I ended up DNFing their previous book, The Roughest Draft, because it just wasn't for me but when I saw the synopsis of their new book, I just couldn't pass it up. I love a good second chance romance between people who love each other and are fighting to stay together.

Graham and Eliza are on their way to a romantic getaway to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary but things haven't been going well for them for a while. When they're mistaken as strangers at the resort, they take that as an opportunity to try something new and different and see each other in a different light.

I really enjoyed this book. I have never been a believer that when things go south for a couple, it should be some big, dramatic affair. I think it's the quieter reasons that result in the dissolution of a relationship that's arguably sadder because there's always this sinking feeling that it was inevitable. Do I Know You? nails that well. There are parts that are hard to read and that's kind of the point—relationships ARE hard and I'm really glad Do I Know You? doesn't shy away from that. Their reasons for falling apart felt a little superficial at first, but then I shifted my perspective and viewed it as kind of sad because again, it felt preventable but that's just human nature. It has a lot of good moments and you enjoy Eliza and Graham's rediscovery of one another as well as themselves. Not to mention there's a charming little friendship I just ADORED and wished romance books would add more of!

Overall, a great read and I can't wait to see what Wibberley and Siegemund-Broka write next! 4 stars.

I wanted to preface I went into this blind, as my first NetGalley read, having not read any other books by this author duo.
I frankly, whole-heartedly, truthfully loved this book. As a mom, married four years, relatively closed off to people, seeing that slip that starts to occur just naturally in marriages: this book just gripped me. I AM Eliza in so many ways, and I feel so many could find themselves connected to the story of being IN the story, whether in your life or in your marriage.
The dual POV was engaging, the story was interesting, I fed off these characters and their relatability. It was very long, and in some ways circular, but as someone who has hit this space in their marriage the circularity felt REALLY appropriate and spot on.

It’s really rare to find a romance book written for people who are already married. This book was uncomfortable to read in spots. But was more insightful than any self help book I have read. Wow what a fantastic book.

I'm a well-known sucker for a "let's fix our marriage" romance novel, which is why I picked this one up even though The Roughest Draft did not work for me at all. And I'm happy to say that I was very into Do I Know You?. The emotional beats are spot on, the new friend character is very charming, and the chemistry between Eliza and Graham is wonderful as they navigate their roles as strangers.
Thanks for the eARC!

Graham and Eliza are celebrating their fifth anniversary, except it doesn’t feel much like a celebration. They’ve been growing apart and a vacation isn’t likely to fix that. On their first night at a fancy resort, they’re mistaken for strangers and introduced to one another, and they see that as an opportunity. Can pretending to be new people save their marriage?

While the concept of this novel will draw readers in, the execution is lacking. There isn’t much of a story here, and the only conflict is lack of communication. The pretend interactions between the couple are cringey and their repeated inner dialogues about their insecurities is annoying. If you want a book by these authors, pick another from their catalog.

My heart!!! This was so beautiful and angsty and sweet. I appreciate that it's about rediscovering love instead of the initial romance. It's just so lovely to read about two people reconnecting in an unconventional way.

Do I Know You? is a sweet story about a married couple who are going through a rough patch in their relationship. They just happed to be thrown into a situation during an anniversary getaway that has the opportunity to be throw a little spark back into the marriage.

What I Liked:
- The dual point-of-views. We get to see both husband's (Graham) and wife's (Eliza) thoughts. They really are a good couple who genuinely love and care for each other.
- The role-playing aspect. It was so fun and flirty. It was also interesting to see the "characters" that the two wanted to be.
- The side character of David. It was fun watching his and Graham's friendship develop. David needs his own story and book!

What I Didn't Like:
- Marriage-in-trouble tropes have the potential to go deep. This entire book came across so surface level. I kept wanting more and the story felt boring and repetitive at times.
- The side plot with Eliza's sister. It just felt out of place and unnecessary. Every time it came up, it felt so jarring and took me out of the main plot.

Overall, this was a cute and enjoyable read. I am interesting in reading more from these authors.

Thank you NetGalley, Berkley Publishing, and Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! This is a really fun and unique romance that focuses on Eliza and Graham as they start to feel a little too comfortable in their relationship. They go on a getaway, but they decide to pretend to be strangers in order to grow closer. I got a little frustrated with this book at times and it’s premise, but I did think it showed them reconnecting in a realistic and interesting way. I appreciated that despite their problems their was no cheating involved and that they both tried their best to work on their issues together. Overall, I don’t think I enjoyed this one as much as some people will, but I appreciate that it’s a fun story and did like reading it!

This is a hard one for me to review... I WANTED to love it - and in parts I really did. But I just couldn't get past the storyline of husband and wife pretending not to know one another. It felt immature to me - like, they were grown adults, - why couldn't they just TALK to one another?! I enjoy the writing style of Emily and Austin and I do love a dual POV, so I'm giving this book a higher rating even though I didn't connect with the plot. There were charming parts and fun characters (hello friendly male Kindergarten teacher! LOVE THAT!) but the "pretend I don't know you and we just met" act came across as awkward for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the ARC of this book.

I was excited to read another book from Emily and Austin, who might be my favorite tandem writing team. This one was really good -- and I loved the idea of a couple learning to fall in love with one another again -- but it didn't shine as much as their other novels.

This brilliant writing duo and real couple created something so genuine, realistic, passionate, entertaining, intense, thought provoking! This book is perfect introduction to the anatomy of marriage! What if you turn into two strangers in own your marriage? A quick getaway and role playing can save everything you’ve built for years?

What if you lost your intimate connection and what if you couldn’t form a small talk or regular conversation? What if you feel like you and spouse are from different planets? What if unresolved issues, bottled up resentments, building emotional barriers make you get completely estranged with your other half?
That are the predicaments of this couple struggles with!

Graham and Eliza found their love at young age: they were only twenty three, met by cyber dating. Graham was a law student as Eliza is aspiring artist- giving lives to characters at audibooks. Their young ages and the way of meeting each other, fast decision of their marriage made their inner circle doubted about their whirlwind relationship at first.

After 5 years of marriage they felt like they lost their SPARK! There’s something to be done rekindle their old feelings. Eliza feels like trapped, lonely, hiding in her shell as Graham fights with insecurities about not being good enough for her wife.

When Graham’s mother made a reservation at a dreamy place located on Northern California coastline which will take more than 7 hours to drive, they think this is great getaway to celebrate their five year wedding anniversary.

But long silence in the drive make them more insecure about the rest of the vacation.

Both of them have inner screams, conflicts which they don’t share with each other.

When they find there are two reservations under their name for two other rooms, Eliza thinks this is great way to put some space between them to rethink a way to save their marriage as Graham resents for her even more.

They plan to meet at the bar but when Eliza reluctantly goes to meet her husband for a probably flat and boring dinner, she sees him talking with another man called David.

Graham already blurted out, he stayed at honeymoon vacation alone and David thought Graham separated from his wife or she’s long gone. When Eliza waits for being introduced, Graham acts like she’s a stranger he’s never seen before. This misunderstanding turns into a role play to rekindle things and a way to explore new things about themselves.

The passion between them eventually rekindles. But how long they can play this game? Will they be as passionate as they were in the holiday when they’ll go back to their old lives?

They’re having fun, taking risks, acting more adventurous but can they keep doing this forever to save the spark of their relationship?
Can you keep flirting with your spouse forever?

Overall: this emotional, sweet turmoil gives us realistic perspective of marriage! Both of the characters are flawed, eccentric, insecure but definitely so much lovable!

I absolutely rooted for Graham and Eliza!
Giving my well deserved five marriage vows stars!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for sharing this amazing digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest opinions.

Eliza and Graham have been married 5 years and they were given a getaway for their anniversary. On the road to this amazing resort, we are shown just how strained their marriage is. Eliza is struggling to remember why she fell in love with Graham and Graham is struggling trying to be the man he thinks Eliza wants.
When they arrive, there is a mix up with rooms and two rooms were booked. Eliza gets the amazing idea of pretending they don't know one another and remeeting all over again. Maybe it will help them find their spark, but it can't hurt to try. Graham isn't so sure about it, but he goes along with it.
They both embark on a journey about not only their marriage, but on themselves. I liked this book so much because it was relatable, marriage is scary and communication is harder. Opening up to let someone see the real you, with all your flaws, it is so hard. What if they don't love the version of you that you put out there, what if you're boring, what if you're weird? I think that this is something that all marriages go through and it is important that we acknowledge the fact that it is work, everyday, and it is hard, even when you seemingly have the perfect life.
I liked how Graham and Eliza met people on this trip that gave them insight into what they saw with both of them too, it opened their eyes to even more.
Thank you to Berkley, Negalley,. Emily and Austin for an early copy.

Thank you so much NetGalley and. Berkley.

Eliza and Graham are celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary..... by staying in different rooms. When they meet at the resort's bar, someone introduces Eliza to Graham and they roll with it. They realize that they have chemistry and witty banter. They decide to be strangers the rest of the trip.

This was an interesting way of trying to rediscover each other as partners. What I appreciated about this book was that there was no cheating. Usually when there's a couple struggling who tries something knew, they open the marriage up. This was a refreshing take, and it is written from both people's perspective. I didn't need to choose sides because I liked both of them and was rooting for them!

As a newly minted Wibbroka stan, I couldn’t have been more excited to be approved for their newest adult romance — Do I Know You? Do I Know You? follows Eliza and Graham, who have been married for five years, although their relationship is starting to grow a little stale. When Graham’s parents send them off on a week-long vacation to commemorate their anniversary, the two of them decide to take this opportunity to rekindle their romance. Pretending to be strangers for the week, Eliza and Graham engage in a game of flirtation, making it obvious for everyone else at the retreat to see their chemistry. But as the week comes closer to an end and it’s time to say goodbye to their alter egos, will what they’ve learned on vacation be enough?

I found Do I Know You to be such an interesting premise, and it reminded me a little bit of Sarah Hogle’s You Deserve Each Other, meets 36 Questions: A Podcast Musical, meets Just for A Minute from High School Musical the Musical The Series. At its very core, Do I Know You is a story about what it means to love and more importantly, to not give up on love. Eliza and Graham know that love isn’t everything, but the fact that they’re committed to staying, and to trying something new — no matter how ridiculous sounding it might be — says a lot about how the two of them view their relationship.

I was also reminded a little of the opening line of Emily Henry’s People We Meet on Vacation: “ON VACATION, YOU can be anyone you want”. And that’s exactly what Eliza and Graham are on this trip. They’re shinier versions of themselves that they don’t get to try on in their normal lives. Different paths are explored, different stories and dynamics — a game of playing pretend and wishful thinking. Graham’s self-doubt comes out in his new persona: Investment Banker Graham, who is charming and confident. Eliza’s rocky relationship with her sister Michelle, and fear of abandonment comes out in a different way: Vacation Planner Eliza, who is used to running around from place to place, and has a very tight knit relationship with her sisters. Graham learns, through Vacation Planner Eliza, that his very real wife misses being spontaneous and the flirtation. And through Investment Banker Graham, Eliza learns about Graham’s insecurities too.

One of my favorite things about Do I Know You? is that it’s told in dual-POV. Being able to see inside both Eliza and Graham’s minds allowed their fears to feel more real, especially when they weren’t being upfront with each other about it. Eliza and Graham had very distinct, and different voices, and while it wasn’t always clear to the other person why they were acting a certain way or why their marriage wasn’t working, the reader was always in the loop.

While I wish that we’d gotten more information about Eliza and Graham before their marriage turned stale and rocky, I do appreciate the way it unfolded, and how we got to learn about snippets of their lives through flashbacks and little tidbits. From the get-go, I was rooting for Eliza and Graham. There’s no room to doubt that the two of them have a lot of love for each other; it’s just that they’ve forgotten how to rekindle that spark. There was so much tension and so much flirtation between the two of them, and I was just screaming for them to get it together.

Despite the third-act breakup being one of my least favorite things ever, I did appreciate how it was done in Do I Know You?, as well as the resolution. I think everything was tied up nicely with a bow, and I think that the third-act fight was incredibly necessary. All the events were leading up to it, and the way Eliza and Graham handled it made the two of them a stronger pairing.

Overall, I absolutely adored Do I Know You?, and I absolutely cannot wait for whatever Wibbroka writes next!

I’m so sad I already finished this book. It was absolute perfection. From the very beginning I fell in love with the characters as individuals and as a couple. Watching them work on their marriage and grow their love was so amazing. I truly already miss this book and I JUST finished. Hands down one of my favorite books ever.
