Camp Creepy by Kiersten White is the third in the Sinister-Winterbottom books and each one has a different location which makes one eager to read the next to see what trouble the family can get into next. As the mystery deepens, of where their parents are, who is their strange Aunt that keeps dropping them off in strange places and what do the books and keys hold for them, we eagerly wait for the next installment to find out more.
How does this series just keep getting better? Perhaps my favorite book in the series (so far), Camp Creepy shows the power of being yourself. Cannot wait to see what happens next!
I received an electronic ARC from Random House Children's through NetGallery.
The adventures continue in book three as the Sinister-Winterbottom family ends up at a summer camp where everyone is happy. No one wants to be different and even naps and teeth brushing are fun group activities. Theo figures out what is happening and works to release Alexander and Quincy along with her older sister, Wil, from the "spell." I appreciate how White reveals more about her characters to help readers understand them. She offers surprises along the way that will make readers think and rethink what they know. Looking forward to the next part of the hunt for their parents.
This was another fun entry in the Sinister Summer series. This time, the Sinister-Winterbottom children find themselves at a summer camp that is actually pretty normal. Maybe a bit too normal. The children finally find some answers to some of their questions, but uncover new mysteries along the way. Readers that enjoyed the previous two books in the series will surely enjoy this latest installment.
