I work for an NGO that implements projects to improve the quality of education in my country and this book talks of a key experience we have lived through. You cannot work in any country without the government getting into your business, in one way or another- policies set in place would affect you and your work.
The author states that he wrote this book because he believes that the role of government is missing in businesses generally- and in the coming chapters he shows how lobbying has helped increase the impact of certain businesses, or even enhanced the ease with which they work.
Anyone working in the private or public sector would find this book interesting- and encouraging. There are tips on advocacy, questions on a quiz to help you know just the status of your relationship with the government where you work.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
