This was an interesting romance. I had fun, but it wasn't my favourite. I felt that the politics were iffily vague, and I didn't like the accidental pregnancy plot all that much. I don't think that this is a series that I will be continuing in. It seems like they all revolve around something to do with kids and that's not my favourite. The female main character was compelling though.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Jenna and Michael. Jenna is a campaign manager, she has recently quit her job. She is in Colorado to see a friend. Michael is a rancher. Jenna and Michael meet in a bar and have a one night stand. The next day Jenna’s friend suggests that she help her husband friend who is running for the senate, it is Michael. She decides to be his campaign manager. She finds out she is pregnant. She immediately tells Michael. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Really really loved this book!
Not at all what it seems like from the title and the front cover and was a real pleasant surprise! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day. This one took by surprise!
Michael and Jenna meet at a bar and have a one night stand. Michael is running for state senate. Jenna becomes his campaign manager. She ends up pregnant.
This story has a strong heroine who knows what she wants. She wants her own firm not in a small town. The hero is tied to his town. He just wants to help people. There is amazing chemistry between them. They just need to find a compromise.
The story was well written. I felt like I was there. Great book.
I'm so enjoying this series and all the characters. I loved Michael and Jenna's story. These two are so good for each other. He thought he wanted to be a politician. She thought she couldn't live in a small town. They had much to work out but love finds a way. A captivating read
Rancher’s One-Night Stand is book five in the Windy Creek Romance Series. This is a new to me series that I didn't know existed but I really liked the cover and synopsis so thought I would download it and give it a go.
I have been in a reading slump lately after my Mum has been very poorly after a stroke. And I have really struggled to get into books or anything that keeps my attention. But I have to say, I have really enjoyed this book. For a few hours I could get out of my own head and live in Jenna and Michael’s world. Jenna Griffin is an up and coming political campaign manager that looses her job after standing up for her believes and goes to visit her college friend Nano in Windy Creek to take her mind off things. After having a one night stand with the handsome Michael Townsend the last thing she expects is to be pregnant.
Michael himself has decided to run and enlists the help of Jenna as his campaign manager. She is hoping to start up her own practice and wants to use Michael as practice and a CV if she wins. But, both realise that there feelings for each other are more than just lust and with a baby on the way there are some choices to be made.
Windy Creek sounds like the place I want to live, where all neighbours pull together and help each other out. All the characters are fun, supportive and good fun. And a real joy to read about. This is just a really nice sweet romantic book with a slight politic edge. It's a book about great friendships and communities coming out together in support of each other.
Even though it is book 5, I didn't feel like I had missed anything by not reading the previous instalments. There are other couples mentioned in this book which I assume have their own stories in the other books which I will go on to read. But you don't have to have read them first. It definitely doesn't spoil the dynamic between these two characters.
All in all I really enjoyed it and couldn't wait to pick up my kindle for the next instalment. thank you Mary Sue Jackson for getting my back on track.
Another enjoyable book by Leslie North, thank you for an advanced copy. I really enjoyed getting to know Michael and Jenna and join them in the journey of their love story. I think Michael is going to be a wonderful dad and Jenna learned to appreciate small town life again. Nice story.
Small town romance that tugs at your heart strings. When push comes to shove love always wins out, as Jenna chooses Michael and home over her ambitions and learns what’s really important to her.
Jenna has a real dislike for small town living because of her childhood. Even after seeing how Michael's little hometown stands by it's own and helps each other. She is really stubborn once she's made her mind up about something.
Michael seems pretty easy going. It's hard to believe that he's not married. He seems like the family type of man.
Rancher's One Night Stand, is a wonderful, lighthearted romance novel.
Jenna and Michael's impulsive night together has far-reaching consequences. When they find themselves unexpectedly working together on his race for a state senate seat, they realize that their chemistry wasn't necessarily a one-time thing. But, as much as they like each other, how can they go forward when they want such different things out of life?
Though this works fine as an accidental pregnancy romance, I found myself really enjoying the details about their respective jobs. It was interesting to learn a bit about how political campaigns work, and also details about ranching. It's always nice to get a little extra along with the story! Pick this up for a pleasant, low-angst story with lots of small-town charm.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
Rancher's one-night stand by Leslie North and Mary Sue Jackson.
Windy Creek Romances book 5.
In beautiful Windy Creek, being a Townsend means something. It’s a legacy that rancher Michael Townsend feels obligated to honor. His decisions reflect on his character—and how the people of Windy Creek vote come election time. And sleeping with Jenna Griffin, his political campaign manager, was definitely the wrong decision. That’s why their one-night stand is going to remain just that… No matter how much she drives him to distraction.
A brilliant read. Loved it. Couldn't put it down. Love the Story and characters. 5*.

Rancher's One-Night Stand held my attention and brought me joy. I enjoy small-town romances with hot cowboys and Michael was definitely a sweetheart! Both main characters were likable and had sizzling chemistry. The storyline was entertaining and I enjoyed the small-town feel and the fact that he was running for state and Jenna was his political campaign manager. It had kind of the forbidden trope too which I always like. If you like small-town, cowboy romance with the surprise pregnancy trope, this is your next read!
