Lady Amelia Takes A Lover is a short, easy-to-read, oh-so-sexy romance! The story takes place mainly in Florence. Amelia’s eccentric family has scandalized their way out of polite society. Amelia is working desperately hard to win that acceptance back. Tristan is a disillusioned Duke who has fled his responsibilities to pursue the art of sculpture in Italy.

Both Tristan and Amelia are artists, and that connection leads to sensual, passionate encounters. Tristan and Amelia are exceptional characters. There is electric chemistry that the couple shares that sizzles off the page. Tristan and Amelia’s encounters are intense and provocative. I loved every minute of their sensual journey.

The plot was refreshing, being in Italy. This is a fast read; I read it in one sitting. I couldn’t put this vivid romance down! I love every aspect of the characters, writing, and backdrop. Lady Amelia Takes A Lover is the first book in the Windermeres In Love series. Sofie Darling has written a dynamic, eloquent love story that grabbed my attention and didn’t let go. I eagerly await the subsequent novels of this sultry, exciting new series!

Challenging, Humorous, Wonderful Romance Story:
4.5 rounded up to 5 Star:
I have not read anything by this author before and was intrigued with the description about the two artists and I was not disappointed.
It is a fascinating story filled with lots of romance. whit and passion.
I felt it started a bit slow, but it didn't take long for me to me hooked and wanting to know what happened between Amelia and Tristan.
Many ups and downs, a few surprises. Interesting plot, good characters. I really liked Tristan a bit more than Amelia, but they both made this a good story. I will gladly read more books in this series.
Adult Advisory:

Lady Amelia Windermere traveled to Italy to help her family recover from their latest scandal and restore their reputation so they would be welcomed back into polite society once again. There she met Tristan, the Duke of Ripon, the Dissolute Duke who was in Italy to escape the demands and expectations controlling him in England. Brought together by their art, Amelia and Tristan started out at odds with each other, her need for propriety and respectability in stark contrast to his arrogance and condescension.

As the first in the Windermeres in Love series, this story sets the stage beautifully for what's to come. I loved everything about this book from the art to the passion to the character development. The gorgeous Italian countryside provided the perfect backdrop, complementing the nature of their art in the most stunning way. With their art providing the inspiration, painting and sculpting releasing fears and inhibitions, Amelia and Tristan experienced an intimacy so incredibly sensuous and luscious as they explored each other with abandon. In a relationship fueled by creative passion and pure honesty that only added to its heat and intensity, Amelia and Tristan saw fully into the hidden depths of each other, right down to the very core of their souls.

Steamy as sin as they defied expectations, I could not get enough of these two. While never losing his honor and integrity, Tristan was just so wicked and tantalizing, lighting up the pages as he gave himself to Amelia. As she finally discovered the freedom to feel, Amelia challenged Tristan to revisit every notion he'd ever had of love while he opened her mind to a different way of living, one in which she didn't need to seek approval or conform to the rules of society without question. At its heart, this book emphasized the value of a life of possibility expressed through art, full of desire and passion, free from expectations, with the future holding hope both Amelia and Tristan could be fulfilled in a way neither had ever thought possible.

What a hot little novella. I haven't read anything by Sofie Darling and the cover drew me to requesting this on NetGalley. I'm glad I did! Two artists who can't keep their hands off each other. I'd love to read more from the sisters/friends as well. You have me deeply intrigued Sofie!

Warning Ladies, Steam Level HOT HOT HOT!

Lady Amelia and her family were living in Italy and had been for the last year due to a scandal at Eton caused by her sister. Their parents were away for a couple of years and she was hoping to restore respectability back to her family in London by the time her parents came home.

Tristan, Duke of Ripon is enjoying his life style in Italy and has another six months left before he had to go home to London to take over his estate. His mother had agreed to look after it for five years for him while he moved to the continent to find himself.

He loved the Italian life style and had a passion to sculpture, Amelia had a passion for painting and when they met, she thought him an Ox, rude, overbearing and was definitely aware of him. Having won the grand prize at a local ball, she realised that Tristan would be the person who would do the bust and that she had to sit for him.

Tristan after looking at some of her work realised that some of her more honest work was amazing and that she really was a talented artist but she was lacking one thing in experience and that was to paint a nude! Whilst sitting for him, he revealed that he would love to do a naked sculpture of her and it was agreed they would both model naked for each other for their chosen art.

Fun, passionate and steamy read. Both having their own opinions and Tristan as a Duke would never fall for anyone or run after them!

Enjoy, you’ll love this story, a page turner which I couldn’t put down.

This is the first book in this new series Windermeres In Love. What a Great start. A very interesting family, not what you usually call typical Ton Family. Making this an extremely interesting storyline. Filled with all kinds of unpredictable things to come. The characters each have some quirkiness to them adding to the excitement. Lady Amelia Windermere and Trianon the Duke of Ripon met by accident. She did not know that he was also a friend of her Brother’s. The chemistry between them was definitely something that you could feel and were captivated by it. Along with there passion for art and each other. All and All what a start and I can’t wait to read about the rest of the family in the books to come.
