I really enjoyed parts of this book but the overall plot just seemed to drag out plus the whole secret parent who is also a royal but since he isn’t a legitimate child he doesn’t count as a royal was just unnecessary. It was also unnecessary to have Bridget’s brother abdicate if Bridget ended up getting the law repealed not longer after the abdication. Just didn’t seem like a well thought out plot.
I really enjoyed this one, more than the first one i think!! I thought the characters were fun and their chemistry was perfect. He was definitely her polar opposite and that was what she needed for the life she was born into. It was a quick read for me!
Twisted Games is the perfect forbidden romance for fans of the bodyguard trope!
I didn't love the first book in this series so I was pleasantly surprised by Twisted Games! This book is an age gap romance between a dark and broody bodyguard with a haunted past and a sunshine-y princess who has been running away from her problems--and her reality-- for too long. Full of steam, longing, and drama this book is not for the faint of heart! Perfect for fans of Ana Huang's works :)
This is an A+ example of smut and nonsense New Adult. While the story is lacking at best, smut fans will appreciate the quality and creativity whats presented.
The Queen and her Prince Consort
Unlike the first one, this one really deserves the hype.
Rhys and Bridget are a couple with much more chemistry and a trope of forbidden romance held much more appeal for me. The hot scenes are hotter too, there's no comparison.
I also liked the political and monarchical issues and how Bridget proved to be a strong and determined woman, despite the stereotype of a blonde woman with a model body.
What about Rhys? He kisses his wife's feet, as it should be and is super hot between 4 walls, which only gets better.
Negative point: bad development of Rhys' traumas and very abrupt passage of time between chapters, without creating a connection between the characters.
"I came back, despite knowing the torture I’d have to go through because I can’t stay away from you. Even when you’re not there, you’re everywhere. In my head, in my lungs, in my fucking soul.”
Omg this book was so good! I loved all the forced proximity and pining in this romance. Bridget is second in line for the throne and Rhys is her bodyguard. For the first two years, the two of them clash, and cannot see eye to eye. I loved reading all those scenes where the two of them are bickering with each other. Of course the bickering turns to them getting to know one another, and slowly to falling for each other. I freaking loved how Rhys knew Bridget so well. He could tell when she was feeling sad, or when she was anxious. I loved all the little things he did for her. When a few things happen, Bridget is next in line for the throne. Halfway through this book things got a little hard for me. I found it painful at times reading how Bridget was expected to become queen soon, I needed to marry a royal. She would go on dates while Rhys had to be watching over her. it was so agonizing for the two characters as they loved each other, but yet rules, do not allow them to be together. So they resulted to sneaking around. Those made for some steamy scene! Rhys it’s so grumpy and quiet, but in those moments he made the pages catch on fire! We’re talking from spanking to Bridget wearing a vibrator throughout the day! There were a few moments that made me tear up, but I loved the ending and overall this romance!

This series is addicting and this is by far my favorite book of the series so far. I’d also argue it’s the most unique of the series—and I am nothing but a sucker for a royals romance AND a bodyguard romance. Chef’s kiss. Loved the story and the characters and the chemistry and spice is top notch. Highly recommend.
This was sooooo much better than the first one.
It gave Princess Diaries vibes but naughty. I really enjoyed the relationship between the MC's.
I loved how Bridget was able to make things work in her favor by the end of the book. It upset me that just like modern royal families that we have around the world today, old as time rules are still controlling households. Her brother could've and would've been king if the laws allowed him to marry as he saw fit. I did not appreciate the role being pushed upon Bridget when it was something that she never really wanted.
It worked out so I was for sure happy about that outcome.
I have been hearing about these books for so long and I am so glad I got to finally read them, and better yet, marathon them. These are a bit darker than the romances I am used to but I still enjoyed them very much. I love these characters and I cannot wait for more Ana Huang in the future!
Most people said that book two was their favorite one. While I am not entirely sure about that for me, I did very much enjoy it. The story was much more cinematic, but that could be the royalty aspect. I could see every scene clearly in my head and I loved that about it.
Rhys is the picture perfect boyfriend. He’s so protective and I love that his and Bridget’s love wasn’t I stand and that it grew overtime. I just wasn’t a fan of the spice. The writing was great but the spice wasn’t for me. Takes away from the story.
Another great book! Much like the first one I absolutely could not put this one down. I love the juxtaposition of party princess and brooding, overly cautious bodyguard. It was sooo slow burn but written at a fairly fast pace, if that makes sense? I liked how they had this obvious, years long history spending a lot of time together where they had drawn each other out a lot, but I didn't have to wait until the book was nearly over for them to realize their feelings. Major major jealousy trope because while our big strong Rhys would absolutely never catch feels for Bridget, no one else is allowed to touch her at all ever either. All of this is to say that I liked the book. I liked the characters and their development, and the book didn't feel nearly as toxic as the first. I think it's my favorite of the series, and would definitely recommend.

I am obsessed with this series and Twisted Games is one of my favorites. The grumpy/sunshine vibes coupled with the forbidden romance aspects of their relationship makes this story absolutely explosive! Rhys is everything! Seriously, swoon! Hands downs one of the best books I've read this year!
This is my first Ana Huang book I have read and it certainly won’t be my last. I was expecting this book to be heavy on the smut and low on the plot but I was pleasantly surprised that it was the other way around. This book had everything I love in a romance book and it’s got me hooked to read more in the series
TWISTED GAMES was so good! I really enjoyed this forbidden romance. A bodyguard + princess romance... where the H is broody and grumpy, whilist the h is all sunshine. Umm, yes, please! Loved Bridget and Rhys together. Rhys was the ultimate protector but at the same time he was a total cinnamon roll inside. He would've done anything to make Bridget happy and I loved that so much! There's a little bit of suspense but I liked how the book ended. Looking forward to reading Josh's and Jule's story next in Twisted Hate!

This book was a fun read! I found it a bit more difficult to get into than the first book, but that is more personal preference than anything! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loved the first book! This was a fun sequel to the initial story and I love how all of the characters are interconnected. Perfect for fans of the O’Malley series by Katee Robert.
So far, this is my favorite in the series. Give me a trope of the body guard and taking what is his while threatening bodily harm to anyone else?; On top of that a pleasure dom? Sign me up!!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this book!
Twisted Games is The Princess Diaries but make it steamy!
I absolutely love the slow build of their relationship and it feels real and spans more than just a few months but over the course of years!
It is slow to develop, and I was rooting for them the entire time.
The library scene is HOT and I don’t think I’ll ever recover from it.
This one is a 5/5 and I love it. ❤️❤️
Absolutely loved Rhys and Bridget's relationship from start to finish... couldn't put this boook down. CAN NOT WAIT FOR BOOK 3 AND 4. Loved how they kept fighting the urge to be together even when others tried to break it apart.
This was a good read! Super quick and easy and I’m a sucker for anything Royal! I have a feeling this may be my favourite of the series!
