Last year, when I read The Wedding Crasher and The Cowboy I mentioned that it felt like a series starter, although at that time, no series was mentioned. I’m so glad that feeling was correct; for now, we get to return to that fun world with The Matchmaker and The Cowboy (not to mention all the fantastic secondary characters).
I absolutely fell in love with Hunter. The fact that he’s had a huge crush on Callie for so long yet has made no real move to act on that crush just made him all the more attractive. He is far, far from what Callie believes him to be, and watching Hunter begin to show his real self around Callie was such an emotional journey. They might be accidental, temporary roommates right now, but if Hunter has his way, that will turn into a lifelong commitment for them… he just has to get past being tongue-tied around his love and get her to see that his “player” reputation is nothing but someone else’s imagination.
I loved Callie. She really is magical in her creations… and maybe even more. Yet she’s stubbornly stuck with the idea that love and romance are just not going to happen for her. Watching her loosen up, begin to see Hunter as he really is, and along with the shenanigans of a few friends, allow herself to believe in the magic of love for herself was an amazingly emotional journey.
If you love a well-written, solid romance full of all the feels and emotions you can think of, if watching two unlikely people come to realize that their dream of happily ever after is possible, then you’re going to love The Matchmaker and The Cowboy.

Hunter and Callie are perfect together! I loved this couple and this book. The characters are lovable, and enjoyable to read about even though there are conflicts between, they are very understandable. The resolution of it all was just perfect, no matter how potential far-fetched. I just loved the two of them together and loved being able to catch up with my fave characters from other books. Hopefully next is a Nova story.
The Matchmaker and the Cowboy is the second book in the Windsong series. This is Callie and Hunter's story. So, I did ultimately like the story. I just didn't love it as much as the first one. I'll be honest it was because of Callie. I just couldn't warm up to her. She did grow on me toward the end, but I just didn't love her for Hunter for a lot of the story. She just really had too much to work through. I did like the ending. I also look forward to reading the next book.
I loved this plot and thought it was a delightful read. Great beach read.
Many thanks to Entangled Publishing and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
I enjoyed reading The Matchmaker and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman. The characters in this story will warm your heart. Happy Reading!

Callie returned to home to discover her home is unlivable and she need a place to stay. She was asked to take care of Hunter who is recuperating from a spider bite. Callie is a talented dressmaker and has earned her reputation for making magical maid of honor dresses. Whoever wear her dresses will find their other half. Hunter was surprise to see Callie in his house. Hunter has always had a crush on Callie and with her staying this close, he hope that it could change her opinion of him.
I love how Hunter and Callie’s relationship develops and although they have a lot in common, they are not on the same page when come to commitment and feeling. Love how Hunter adored Callie despite he is the most eligible bachelor in town. They have amazing chemistry and it only grow as the story progresses. Overall it is a good read to me.

Hunter and Callie.
What a pair!
He's the ever attentive uncle to a precocious but lovely eight year old, puts others first pretty much always, and is desperately trying to change the town's image of him. Grant it, he doesn't mind being the most eligible bachelor per se, but he wants to be taken more seriously, and show everyone what he can do... outside of filing it a three piece suit OH so well. She's the daughter that never quite fit in with her family, developed issues related to marriage turning her personal choice against it, is helping change the world for those in need by empowering them to change their own world, and has some magically tinged ability to match people with their true love. Both have issues; both have potential. Oh, and did I mention the chemistry? Let's just say, things get rather interesting when they stop looking for reasons they shouldn't be together, and start reaching for those they should. 😉
It's a delightful story with enough love, enough humor, enough good will, and smexy times to go around. The "meet cute" moment was definitely hotter than most, but hey... what do you expect when a guy wakes up from a close visit to death's door, and his longtime crush has taken up residence in his home? Sparks fly, understandings are reached, and walls are broken down... but don't think it's smooth sailing from there. No siree! Some less than blatantly obvious cowboy didn't choose his words wisely, nor were his actions speaking the right language, and things start going south in a hurry. Hang in there my fellow HEA fans, all is not lost!
A great read for romance and western romance fans alike, adults and up... and you can bet I'll be watching for the next story to come out of Windsong!
This is the 2nd book in a series. They tie together or can be a stand alone. Hunter and Callie become closer in an incident that happens right at the beginning of the book. I feel like it dragged on but overall was fine
This is an author I adore & was so excited to get book 2 in the series! It was so fun, sweet, and all the swoon cowboyness you could ask for! I think Hunter is so swoony and Callie is so sweet! A perfectly matched couple! Callie loves to sew and makes MOH dresses with a little “magic”! Everyone believes that if they wear her dresses they will find love next! But Callie does have love and trust issues. She has a past with bad boyfriends and her family doesn’t appreciate her the way they should. Hunter is the youngest brother who loves horses! He wants to set himself apart and show everyone he’s serious! He’s had a crush on Callie for a long time! Hunter is ready for love and he knows exactly who he wishes it to be with! I really enjoyed these two and how they pushed one another but also brought out the best! All in all a great romance!
I loved The Matchmaker and the Cowboy! Robin Bielman did a wonderful job with Callie and Hunter's story.
It was sweet and fun as they got to know each other better when she ends up having to stay with him. He is her best friend's brother and the connection between them is strong from the beginning. I really enjoyed their romance and HEA.
If you love small town romance that's sweet, funny, and fun this book and series are perfect for you!
I received this book in exchange for my unbiased review from NetGalley.
I want to start off this review by saying that Robin Bielman’s books always make me smile. Imagine someone reading a book smiling and laughing aloud; that was me.
The Matchmaker and Cowboy is a story of two individuals: Hunter and Callie. Hunter is desperate to be taken seriously, while Callie battles her trauma from having an indifferent family and a horseback riding accident as a teenager. This story has a flirty edge as we see Callie and Hunter go from acquaintances, friends, and then lovers. There is certainly a lot of character development on Callie’s end, where we see her going from afraid of love to becoming open to the prospect of having a future with the Hunter.
This is a beautifully written and developed book. I highly recommend this; 10/10.
What a delightful small-town romance this proved to be
With Callie Carmichael returning from overseas
Only to find her family are away, their home a building site
She needs somewhere to stay, at least for tonight.
Her friend comes to the rescue, offering her a place to stay
And keep an eye on her brother, Hunter, who is in a bad way.
He's had an allergic reaction and needs taking care
There's no romance between them - is there?
He's hot, single, eligible and trouble,
She's always assumed he's danger at the double.
However, staying and getting to know him now
Changes her view of him dramatically somehow.
Callie's a dressmaker with a special reputation, it's true,
Her Maid of Honour dress wearers soon end up marrying, too!
Now Hunter has asked her to make him a suit, too,
As he's looking for love and saying, "I do!"
As these two get to know each other more,
And options and rivalries start to explore,
Is he going to be able to change her anti-marriage mind
By being himself, so thoughtful, patient and kind?
A gorgeous, heartwarming read
It really was just what I need.
With a brilliant community, close knit friends,
The kind of story in which I like my time to spend.
For my copy of this lovely book, I say thank you,
As I share with you my honest review.
I received an arc of The Matchmaker and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. This is the second book in the Windsong series. I did not read the first book but I didn’t have any trouble being immersed into the plot of this one as each book is a standalone. I have read several of Robin’s books over the years and this one, like all the others, was a delight to read.
The story features Callie Carmichael and Hunter Owens. Callie has been best friends with Hunter’s sister Nova for many years. Hunter has secretly been in love with Callie since he first met her. Callie has never been close with Hunter due to misunderstandings. As the book opens, Callie has returned to town from a humanitarian trip to Africa to learn her parents and sister are away also on a mission trip but the house is torn up for remodeling so she has nowhere to stay. Immediately she learns that Hunter was bit by a black widow spider and needs someone to stay with him for awhile. She moves into his place and the two start becoming better acquainted.
Callie makes bridesmaid dresses and her special feature is that she adds “magic” to the maid of honor dresses with a little butterfly appliqué. Six of the ladies who wore her designs have gotten engaged. She works on the dresses at Hunter’s house since she’s homeless. She is working on Hunter’s brother’s fiancé’s wedding party.
Both Hunter and Callie have confidence issues. Callie’s stems from her parents and sister constantly leaving her alone. They also have been married and divorced a couple times and that turns her off marriage. Hunter is the youngest of 3 boys and he doesn’t feel he stands out. The towns people see him as the most eligible bachelor and all the women swoon over him. He just wants to settle down and get married to his soulmate, hopefully Callie. The two spend a lot of time together while she’s taking care of him and after she moves into a rental cottage, they still hang out together with his family. Callie finally gives into her desire for him but then struggles with her feelings as she stubbornly continues to say she’s never getting married.
The book is wonderfully written and the characters are genuinely nice and down to earth. I enjoyed the various relationships Callie and Hunter have with his family and some of the townspeople, as well as with each other. It is a very romantic story with a lovely HEA. I highly recommend this book and give it 5 stars.
The second book in Windsong, The Matchmaker and The Cowboy is a sexy, fun friends to lover’s romance. Hunter and Callie are relatable and engaging and the story is wonderfully written and entertaining. I look forward to reading more and would recommend you grab this series and start reading.
4 Magical Stars

The Matchmaker and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman is the second in this series but it stands solidly on its own. I have been reading Robin Bielman for quite some time and never have been disappointed. She has a unique ability to take the reader from the start and have them captured and interested throughout the tale.
A sweet enjoyable read.
The Matchmaker and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman is a well crafted, flirty romance novel with the perfect blend of characters. This is part two of the series, but this can also be read as a standalone. I felt like the pace and the characters won me over, and the storyline really grabs your attention and keeps it. Well done on Author Bielman. I enjoyed this sweet read, and recommend it to others!
A wonderful second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I was immediately pulled into this story with all of the drama which I liked. The book has the ability to make the reader laugh and stay up way too long reading it. Callie is back in Windsong after months volunteering in Africa, when she arrives at her family's house she finds out that her family is away and the house is under renovation. Fortunately her best friend finds a place for her to stay, the only drawback is that she has to share the place with her best friend's brother and take care of him. Hunter has always had a crush on Callie but she never gave him a chance, but maybe staying in the closer quarters of his house something could change her opinion of him. They might be accidental, temporary roommates right now but if Hunter has his way that will turn into a lifelong commitment for them… he just has to get past being tongue-tied around his love and get her to see that his “player” reputation is nothing but someone else’s imagination. The saga of Callie and Hunter was wonderful written and I look forward to the next book in the series.
Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley.
What a cute small town romance!!!
I loved these two amazing characters. They are just so made for each other.... I loved everything about them. Their banter, his amazing family and especially his niece!!
If you're a sucker for romance.... this book is for you!!!!

A small-town best friends brother romance that was sweet and a dream book boyfriend that really sets the bar.
The pace was good and the story was promising I just couldn't root for Callie.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
