Callie has been making quite the stir around town as a seamstress since every one of the women wearing her bridesmaid dresses has found true love. After a six month mission trip in Africa, she returns home only to realize that her family home is under renovation and no one bothered to tell her. With family in town for Kennedy and Maverick's wedding, the only place to stay is with her best friend's brother, Hunter Owens. Recovering from a poisonous spider bite, he's in need of someone to help out for awhile so the situation should work out perfectly. Only, he's a troublemaker and known flirt and Callie isn't looking for happily ever after since the wreck of her last relationship. But staying with Hunter, she realizes he's not quite what she thought.
Hunter has had a serious crush since he met Callie after her accident. But unlike with any other women, he can't seem to act normally around her, getting all tongue tied. How can he be the most eligible bachelor around town and the woman he wants always gives him the cold shoulder? When Callie signs on to make the bridesmaid dresses for his brother's wedding, Hunter asks her to make his suit. Maybe a little of her magic will help him move on and find someone else. But how can he search for true love with someone else when he's already found it?
Oh I loved Hunter's flirty goofball character so much! He truly has a heart of gold and Callie was such a fool to ignore him for so long. The magical dresses added a bit of fun to the story. I'm glad that the characters from the first book were included so much in this one. There are so many characters to choose from, I'm curious who will star in the next book in the series.

I really liked this book, I loved how the author draws you in and make you feel like you are in the think of it. I felt that with Hunter he loved everyone in his life so wholeheartedly, that he didn't seem to know any other way. He wanted what was best for everyone in his life including his small town, but he also wanted to show his family he was no longer the "kid". I felt with Callie she took a little to grow on me but she had this big heart and guarded it with her life because being hurt and feeling rejection was just not something she wanted to have to face over and over again. She too really loved wholeheartedly but she was different in the sense she was so guard so her love was where and who to chose. I really loved there relationships in this book between Nova and Callie and then The Owens family opening their door to people it really sums up that you get to pick your family and that blood doesn't always make you family. I can't wait to read more from this group I feel like the Journey for this group of friends is just beginning. Overall this book was a fun read, there is adult content and sex in this book so it may not be suitable for all reads.
You know it's a good story when you are laughing, crying and celebrating with the characters. I cheered when Hunter and Callie finally realized what they mean to each other. I'm totally loving this series and hope it continues.....there are so many characters that deserve a HEA and I want to see how many have gotten MOH dresses from Callie's shop! Highly recommend!

This is a delightful story. Hunter is a small town cowboy who is everyone’s favorite bachelor. Callie is a dressmaker whose bridesmaid dresses are infused with magical powers. The plot builds easily as the characters spend time in each other’s company. There is plenty of fun activities and sharing of secrets and dreams along the way. Hunter and Callie make and excellent couple and the story has the sweetest ending.
This is a sweet story about a couple who are finally given the opportunity to explore their feelings. Hunter has been crushing on his sister's best friend Callie for years. Right when he convinces himself nothing is going to happen between them, she becomes a fixture in his life and their friendship blossoms. The only problem is that as much as he wants forever with her, Callie has sworn never to marry. Can these two get on the same page to have their happy ending?
Hunter is a wonderful book boyfriend and it's a fun journey watching him win over Callie. The only problem came at the end when the characters come face-to-face with the deeper issues keeping them apart. Callie has some unresolved issues with her family and out of the blue they have a conversation and everything is cleared up. Then Hunter has a conversation with his sister-in-law who explains why Callie is the way she is and opens his eyes as to why things fell apart. It was a little too blunt, like a flashing neon sign spelling it all out rather than him figuring it out on his own. The resolution to the conflicts were just too easy and not the least bit subtle.
Aside from that disappointment, the book was a great story and well worth the read. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Robin Bielman has my heart! I thought this was a super cute and fun small town romance. (Plus, that cover is breathtaking!!) I’ve really enjoyed this series. I thought Hunter and Callie were great, fully developed, interesting characters. I very much enjoyed reading their blossoming romance. Hunter was sexy and one of my favorite heroes written by this author. This book was well written with a story that kept me engaged from the first page until the last. I’m looking forward to more in this series. Thanks to Entangled publishing and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book.
I love Callie with Hunter!
Callie Carmichael had planned to stay with her parents when she returned from her volunteer trip to Africa but they had left to help with hurricane relief and the house was under construction. The only place to stay was bunking with Hunter Owens to keep an eye on him while he healed from his severe reaction to a black widow spider bite.
Callie was home to start her own shop making bridesmaid dress because she had a gift for putting something special in the maid of honor dress since the last six wearers have gotten engaged. But the next wedding she was also doing a best man suit for Hunter Owens.
Maybe her magic could work on the best man also!
I love small town romances because they remind me of home where everybody knows everybody else and you can finally admit you are in love with your friend.

Thank you Entangled Publishing for the advanced copy which I read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own. With that being said, this was such a sweet and sexy small town romance. You knew what would happen but how they got there really held my interest. Don't miss reading this novel.

Hunter has had a crush on Callie for years, but she's always thought he pitied her because he witnessed her having a serious accident. Doesn't help how much she has to see him because he's her best friend's brother. And then she ends up living with him to take care of him after he has a mishap of his own. They have some funny moments and end up developing both a friendship and uncovering some great chemistry once they clear the air.
I liked Callie and Hunter as characters. I enjoyed the storyline of her dress business and the magic she brought. There was just a ton of little things happening in this book to keep track of - all the side characters, his brother's wedding, both of their pasts, town gossip, a treasure hunt on the ranch, and a competition they are both in. Some of the things that took place felt unnecessary to me, and the end seemed rushed. For Callie to have been so set in her opinions all along, the surprise she did near the end felt to me like a zero to 60, and the scene seemed awkward and kind of out of character for her.
Overall, it was a sweet book with some great moments, but not my favorite from this author.
Callie Carmichael and Hunter Owens have always known each other. Callie is best friend's with Hunter's younger sister and a frequent visitor to the Owens' home. Callie has no idea that Hunter ever had a crush on her (his whole family knows). She just thinks of him as her friend's older brother. This all changes when she needs a place to stay and Hunter has space. Suddenly Callie is aware of Hunter as more than her friend's brother. However, she's not interested in love, so is doing her best to keep him at arm's length.
Unfortunately for Callie, that's difficult to do. She's developing a reputation of designing and making magical bridesmaid dresses. Several bridesmaids have worn her dress designs and have gone on to get married. Hunter's ready to settle down and asks her to make him a lucky 'best man' suit. Hunter and Callie were both so likable. Callie was also very relatable. She needs to do some soul searching about what she wants out of life and if she's willing to take a risk.
I loved this book. It's full of connection, laughter, love and hope. There's also room for people to grow and become better versions of themselves. This is an auto-read series and author for me.
This is the second book in the Windsong series. It can be read standalone. However, I adored the first book (The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy) and recommend reading that one too.

Thanks to the publisher for a copy. All opinions are my own.
Thank you NetGalley, Robin Bielman and Entangled Publishing, LLC for ARC of The Matchmaker and the Cowboy. This is my personal review.
All I can say about this book is WOW!! I have read the first book in the Windsong Series and thought it was amazing and yes I can say to anyone is this is a series you have to read!
Callie has come back to Windsong after her time volunteering in Africa. When she gets back, she has to find a place to stay because the family house is being renovated. Thankfully her friend has a place but there is a drawback, and it means she has to share the place with her best friend’s brother Hunter. Hunter has always had a thing for Callie, but Callie thought of him just as a friend.
I don’t want to say much more because this book is so great you have to read it so you can feel the connection grow between Hunter and Callie.
Thank you so much Robin Bielman for giving us this series and I look forward to more.
If you’re in the mood for a sexy, fun, small-town family-centric romance with wonderful relatable and perfectly mutil-layered characters then The Matchmaker and the Cowboy is absolutely the book for you. Robin’s been one of my favourite authors for ten years, her takes on well loved tropes are always fresh and unique and 24 books later her mad skills at writing perfect first kisses and grand gestures still knock my socks off. Hunter and Callie were perfect together and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
This is a delightful installment in the Windsong series by Robin Bielman. I loved how the two main characters were "reintroduced". Callie had known of Hunter Owens since he is her BFF's brother. Callie always figured Hunter didn't care for her and only saw her as the girl that got thrown from a horse and broke her back. She doesn't realize how much he admires her and she thinks he only pities her. When Hunter has an accident and Callie is asked to stay with him to help; she agrees. Hunter loves the time he gets to spend with Callie and Callie is getting to know Hunter better. The two of them learn a lot about each other and along the way; also themselves. I enjoyed how it all played out in the story.
This is a beautifully crafted story with characters that worm their way into the reader's heart. I can hardly wait to see what happens in the Owen's family next. Is it going to be Nova's turn?
When Callie returns from Africa she finds that her parents and her sister had completely forgotten she was coming home, and not only are they not there, but the house is a construction zone and she can't even stay at their house.
Thankfully her bestie Zoe has the perfect solution! Since her brother Hunter has recently gotten sick and needs some near-constant care for the next couple of weeks Callie can stay with him. it's a win-win!
Well except for the fact that Hunter is a super sexy cowboy who flirts as easily as blinks, and she is not in the mood for men at all. But he's just so cute, and vulnerable, and he is the bestest uncle ever, did I mention how sexy he is? And Hunter has been in love with Callie for what seems like forever, so having her around is the best kind of torture. Thankfully they have some distractions, they are both trying to become the next town ambassador, and Callie has a dress shop to open, and bridesmaids dresses to make.
When they find themselves hanging out with each other over and over and realize, (at least on Callies part) that they enjoy it, and maybe want to keep doing it the feelings just grow from there.
Windsong is quickly becoming my favorite small town, and full of characters that I would love to call friends. I loved watching them fall in love, and Jenna is a whoot and so adorable. I can't wait to see if we are going to get more in this series! Perhaps Zoe will be next?
4.25⭐
The Matchmaker and the Cowboy returns readers to the charming small town of Windsong for Hunter and Callie's story. And what a delightful sweet, fun, story it is.
As Callie just back from six months in Africa arrives home expecting to see her sister Brooke and parents waiting to greet her. Instead, she finds a home under construction and no family.
But the delightful Birdy a joyous octagenarian is waiting with news. That her family have let her down once again.
So Callie thanks to her best friend Nova ends up helping out Hunter. Who whilst babysitting his adorable niece Jenna was bitten by a poisonous spider and is in need of someone to care for him for a couple of weeks.
But the pair have history and Hunter has had a crush on Callie for years. Only she sees him as a flirt and anyway she's not looking for love or marriage thanks to her parents on/off one.
Yet, as the pair spend time together and take part in a little friendly competition Hunter can't help but fall. But he's needing all of his charm if he's getting Callie to fall back.
And with the perfect amount of heat, sweetness and fun. This was a great read. That's also full of Ms Bielman's signature characters and small town delights. And I would happily recommend it to all.
The story of Callie and Hunter. He has always had a crush on her, will he get his chance now they are in close proximity. She is a dress maker, and the dresses she designs have led to love for those that wear them, so will the suit she makes for Hunter have the same effect for him?
This book was downright adorable. It was like reading a slightly spicier version of a Hallmark romance movie. I loved it! The small town feel was so awesome and Hunter and Callie were amazing together.
Once I found Robin Bielman years ago, I couldn't stop following her. I keep checking back for more books by her and I'm always excited to find one! She writes charming storylines with complex characters. Her books are favorites of mine. I get lost in them. I was so invested in the outcome of Hunter and Callie's story that I couldn’t put it down. Hunter stole my heart. He's the perfect book boyfriend! Callie is a strong, but hurting, female heroine who must overcome her life fears. Such a beautiful ending. I absolutely can't wait for the next book.
Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review.
Hunter is a muscled, charming and charismatic cowboy who is devoted to his family, friends and community. He has also been smitten with his sister’s best friend, Callie, for years and everyone knows except for Callie herself. Callie is a young, talented and ambitious designer who has abandonment issues. Her family treats as an afterthought and she spends much of her life alone. Callie has been unable to see past the memory of her first meeting with Hunter which ended with her being thrown from a horse and seeing his look of pity before she lost consciousness. She has held on to that pity and her own humiliation, not letting Hunter get closer to her.
Now, Callie is home again after six months away with no place to stay because her family’s home is under renovation. A series of circumstances leads Callie to agree to stay with Hunter and look after him after he is injured. Her time with Hunter is eye opening for both of them. It certainly stirs up her attraction to him while revving up his to her. Their chemistry is crazy hot, palpable to all who see them together, yet she is not looking for any long term relationship. She has been burned too many times and has witnessed the disastrous marriage of her parents. She no longer believes love is in her future and vows to devote herself to her career rather than to finding love. It is ironic that her dresses for maids of honour are rumoured to bring the wearer good luck in the romance department, along with an engagement ring. When Hunter asks her to make him a best man’s suit to see if he can find a bride for himself, Callie is a little dismayed but agrees to do so. If he can’t have Callie, Hunter believes he is ready to move on and find happiness with someone else. He can’t help hoping, however, that making his suit and spending time with him will open Callie’s heart to him. Can Hunter convince her to give love and him a chance? Will they find a happily ever after together?
This book touched my heart and induced laughter as well as some teeth grinding and sighs. I found it to be both fascinating and entertaining. I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
My first Robin Bielman book is one filled with plenty of humor, a fair amount of angst and a sweet, new love wrapped in plenty of hot, steamy times between Hunter and Callie. I really love the way Hunter is written but Callie's steadfast refusal to allow herself to fall for him and eventually marry got old. Even with the author repeatedly providing reasons for why Callie feels this way, I ran out of patience with this aspect of the story. Readers do get excellent writing, vivid characters and scenery in a town filled with a large cast of memorable characters. I just wish Callie's stubbornness hadn't gone on and on and on - before she finally dropped the drama and opened her heart and eyes up to what might be one of the BEST guys I've read in awhile. I do recommend.
