A beautifully written story that will make your day. Rhys has orders to kill the witch that will come through the Portal. When it’s love at first sight, what’s he to do. Lots of danger involved. Loved it.
I enjoyed this I didn't love it however. Nothing to do with the author or the writing just didn't grab my attention wasn't for me.
This book brings two of the author's world's together and it is magical. Madea goes through a portal with her sister and a Dragon from England to Mura. Madea has a problem with her magic. When she becomes angry it grows into dark magic. Rhys, part fae with super strength, catches her eye and he brings out the light. But when there is a misunderstanding and the darkness takes over, Rhys, a child and friends will help, but a sacrifice must be made for Madea to let the light through. When all is said and done will Madea remain or go back to England?
The story has a vivid setting and vibrant characters. A fun fairytale retelling for adults. Magic, magic and more magic. A wonderful book.
Medea de Bar is the daughter of a dark witch and a light warlock. She is very young and struggles to suppress the dark side of her personality. She is also a bit self-centered and spoiled. When she decides that she has waited long enough for her brother-by-marriage to take her for a ride on his dragon, she steals it, even though her sister Rapunzel tries to stop her. The three of them, the dragon and the two sisters, fly through a portal which opened suddenly and closed even faster. They find themselves in Mura where they meet the Blackseed brothers and their rather odd and wonderful family. As bored as she believed herself to be, Medea could never have imagined the adventure she would encounter in this strange land. Trying to keep up with Medea is Rhys Blackseed, Head Knight for one of the three kings in Mura. It doesn’t take long for these two to fall hard for each other. The happily ever after evades them, though, as an abundance of trouble dogs their heels. Can they conquer the dark to have a bright future? An exciting fantasy full of adventure, action, magic, romance, and awesome characters, and an incredible surprise ending. Only one Blackseed brother left. What is in store for Zann?
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
The Witch and The Knight Experience What Love Can Do
This is the first book that I read in this series of Portals Of Destiny. Book two Bewitched was Mystical , Mystifying , Enchanting , and Captivating.
So much happening , emotions running rampant, good versus evil, elves, fairies, witches, shapeshifters, and all kinds of magical powers. All to keep in total suspense and wrapped up in the amazing tale.
Medea de Bar and Rhys Blackseed met while Medea was up to her mischief . Not one of her finer moments. She was a Witch . He was the Head Knight for the King in another Realm . Both from different worlds., leading different kinds of life, and having much in common.
Perhaps The Kingdom of Mura is just so Magical anything can happen. Even Love could beat the odds. A Story to Experience.
Dragons, Portals, Witches:
Portals of Destiny series book 2 finds Hecuba the evil dark witch has passed away and Medea her daughter is now a lonely, restless and unhappy queen of Tanglewood Castle.
To appease herself she steals the Dragon Lords dragon and finds herself off on quite an intense adventure. Her sister Rapunzel couldn't allow her to take her husband's dragon, so Rapunzel hitches a ride to try to bring her back.
Let's follow them as they fly to who knows where?
This story is very intense and filled with tons of good and evil witchcraft.
Some of the characters we have met in book 1 Bedeviled carry into this story.
There is a romance that blossoms between the brave knight Rhys and Medea, but they take
the reader through many levels of turmoil before the extremely exciting and shocking ending that actually had me laughing outload and giving the author a shout out of Well done!

Personal Note✔ I enjoyed this book better than the first book.
Medea was a bit irritating and feeling sorry for herself to much.
This can be a stand-alone story.
