This was just straight up FUN. The connection I felt between Savvy and Griffin lept off the page. The beginning of the book starting off with a Bewitched quote didn't hurt either. Savvy is a witch, she meets Griffin on one of her quests in England and they instantly connect. She leaves the next day, never to see him again. Until, one day, she does. She and Griffin are in France at the same time and now she thinks it's more than just a coincidence, it has to be fate bringing them together.
Griffin hasn't been able to get the girl he met the one night in England out of his mind. So when he sees her in France, he knows it is meant to be. They even discover that they live in the same city at home. So, they agree to meet in one month at their favorite bookstore. If they both show, they know this will turn into something more.
Griffin is a HUNTER. This means, he destroys anything paranormal out there that is a threat to humanity. like say, witches. When they both discover what the other truly is, not only will they have to fight the one they love, but the ones that are out to destroy them both.
This story of opposites coming together, working together, was just so fun. Griffin was steadfast, he loved Savvy with all his heart and he was going to prove to her that nothing could tear them apart, not even her being the one thing he has been trained to destroy. He knows he loves her and that is all that matters. Savvy isn't quite sure that love will prevail in the end. They both have so many things to get through, in the end will it be enough? I loved it so much!
Thank you to St. Martin, Gwenda Bond and Netgalley for an early copy.

Mr. & Mrs. Witch was a good choice for a quick Sunday read. I would say that it was more of a miscommunication trope than a lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers. Savvy and Griffin had great chemistry and I loved the spy aspect of this story. I also enjoyed that despite being chased by multiple parties, the stakes were never too high, and the romance took the driver’s seat.

I did feel like the pacing was a little off at times, and the timing of some spicy scenes felt odd considering the other action taking place, but I think the overall story was well-executed. I think the side characters were interesting and loved the familiars throughout.

I think this was a solid romantic comedy with a splash of witchcraft and espionage and I quite enjoyed it. Thank you so much to St. Martin’s Griffin and NetGalley for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

I read this book in 24 hours because I could not put it down! Savvy and Griffin are getting married after a whirlwind romance. Sure it's a little fast but hey Savvy never thought that she would even want to get married in her future and he makes her happy. Unfortunately, there's a couple of things they didn't tell each other before the big day....Savvy is a witch and Griffin is a hunter *gasp* very much a mr and mrs Smith novel with paranormal fantasy. With great side characters and the conspiracy twist that slowly unfolds it was a great ride. The story flips from both of their povs as well as back in time to present when they met and began seeing each other (also in dual povs) very well done compared to others. Will definitely read again and keep a look out for others in this series.

Savannah (Savvy) Wilde is about to marry the man of her dreams, Griffin Carter, but she knows she'll have to hide from him her identity as a witch and an operative for C. R. O. N. E. (Covert Response to Occult Nightmares by Enchantresses). What she doesn't know is that Griffin, an antiquities professor, is also hiding a secret identity as an operative for H. U. N. T. E. R. (Humans Undertaking Nocturnal Terror and Evil Reduction) -- and someone who hunts, well, witches.

So when the bigwigs from their respective organizations show up at the wedding, ratcheting up the tension between the groups, all hell breaks loose and the wedding is canceled. And as a result, Savvy is assigned to take out Griffin as an example to H. U. N. T. E. R. -- and Griffin is instructed to terminate Savvy.

What results is a fast-paced, zany adventure romance with humor, heat, and heart. Multiple flashbacks take the reader back to the beginning of Savvy and Griffin's relationship and its development over the year, showing the reader the red flags they ignored but also revealing how they might resolve their murderous mix-up. Both of the MCs get supportive sidekicks who add both chaos and sanity to the adventure (and a special <chef's kiss> to the best-ever familiar, Paris), and the unraveling of the plot is easy to see but satisfying to watch. Sheer fun!

Read this if you love: spy vs. spy, secret identities all around, magical meet-cutes, lovers to enemies to lovers, love on the run, digging up secrets, modern magic, snake-haired necromancers, shapeshifting familiars, madcap adventure

Thank you, St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley, for providing an eARC of this book. Opinions expressed here are solely my own.

This is a cleverly written paranormal rom com. I struggled a bit with the back and forth but all in all it was a good read.

After a whirlwind romance, Savannah and Griffin are ready to be married. Both know they are hiding a significant piece of their lives from the other but are sure they can make that work. Until their secrets are revealed at the altar.

Mr. and Mrs. Witch is a thrilling ride from the present, then back and forth to the past for the history of their relationship to the present.

I enjoyed watching Savvy and Griffin face their past decisions and decide whether to trust each other enough to preserve their future.

A wild ride that I hope spawns future books for supporting characters.

What a magical story! Loved the twist on a witch/hunter relationship. The wedding itself was hilarious- I knew it would somehow fall apart, but this was even better than I imagined. I would’ve liked to see more magic, though. But the resolution was great and I really enjoyed the ending. Go Paris!

Thank you to St. Martin’s Griffin and Netgalley for providing me with a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book surprised me in a very good way. I saw it randomly come up for request on Netgalley and thought it sounded interesting but I didn’t expect it to be one of my favorite books this year. It has Lovers to Rivals to Lovers, witches, familiars, and a fast paced adventure. This book takes place during the present time for our characters and also jumps back in time to the first times that the met, which added so much depth to the story. This book is based on Mr and Mrs. Smith, which I haven’t ever seen but now I kinda wanna watch.

Their wedding day has arrived and Savvy and Griffin can’t wait to tie the knot even if it means they are lying to the love of their life forever. Savvy is a witch and she can never let Griffin know what she actually does and instead tells him that she is a PR rep. Griffin is a witchhunter and in his organization they never are allowed to tell anyone that they are a Witch Hunter instead he told Savvy that he was a professor in Antiques. When their secrets are revealed at the altar, all hell breaks loose and they are orders by their leaders to hunt each other down and kill the other. When they start taking a little too long their leaders put a bounty on each other's heads and now Savvy and Griffin have to team up to figure out why their leaders want them dead. When they find out massive secrets that change everything will they find a way to save each other?

With this book showing both present and past, you get to see how their relationship developed which helps it overall make more sense when they want to protect each other even though they are supposed to be sworn enemies. We get so much personality from Savvy and Griffin but the side characters also get their time to shine and I hope we get more in this world with the side characters. Savvy and Griffin both are so caring and fun to read about. Savvy doesn’t let anything stop her from what she wants and Griffin is there to support whatever she wants which isn’t something I see in books super often. Savvy has a leopard familiar that can also be glamoured into a black cat and I just loved Paris, the familiar, so much. Paris has so much personality, she is bossy and sassy and is going to protect Savvy and Griffin at all costs. We get a chapter as Paris and it honestly might be my favorite chapter in the book.

I highly recommend picking this book up if you enjoy a strong female main character, witches, witch hunters, magic, and a fast paced book. This truly was a fun read and I sped through and wish it was longer honestly.

This one was super cute! Over the past year, I've realized that I love witchy romances, and this was no exception. It was so much fun to read!

My favorite part was definitely Griffin and Savannah. I loved their connection and how tangible it was. It practically jumped off the page! I also loved how true they stayed to each other. Even in their time of enemy-hood, they still loved each other (deep down). Their relationship was so much fun, and definitely one I'd return to.

I also loved all the side characters. Brie and Diego were adorable (possible ship there??), and I loved any scenes they were a part of. Paris definitely took the cake for being the best though. I mean, giant kitty cat, what's not to love?

So, if you're looking for your next witchy read, this is for you! It was the perfect mix of action and romance, and kept me entertained the whole time

Savannah is a very powerful witch and set to marry the love her liife Griffin. He actually belongs to an organization that hunts witches. Both hide their other identity from each other. The wedding was a revealation and both are tasked with taking each other out.... Kind of a paranormal Mr and Mrs Smith. Much funnier too. Likable main characters and you really hope for a HEA. I enjoyed it a lot and it was a fun read.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Although I loved Gwenda Bond’s other books, I didn’t like the main characters voices in this one.

I'm glad the author straight out said that this was inspired by Mr. & Mrs. Smith because you definitely get those vibes. I loved the story and the characters. I'm hoping that Brie and Diego get their own book.

This has a Mr & Mrs Smith vibe to it but magic! I love how the story starts with the two of them so happy and in love but then they find out the other has been hiding very important secrets which derails everything. So enemies need to find their way back to lovers. A very entertaining read.

Did you like Mr. and Mrs. Smith but wish there had been a paranormal element to it? Well then read this book as soon as you can. I have adored everything from this author and this book was no different. You get to see how they met and how they are very different and will they make it? I read this in one sitting and I am still thinking about it. That’s the sign of a good book in my opinion.
