It's Bewitched meets Mr. & Mrs. Smith when a witch and a hunter's secret identities are revealed just as they reach the altar. Hurt and angry, they do what witches and hunters do: fight. But it soon becomes clear that all is not as it seems, and they must work together to right an old wrong and save their future. This witchy romantic adventure had me on the edge of my seat and then falling off my chair laughing by turns! Our lead's are equally appealing together and apart, and they're surrounded by loyal and hilariously colorful friends and family. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with all of them and highly recommend Mr. and Mrs. Witch for fun and swoony read. My thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

4 stars = Great! Might re-read.

This was fun! I enjoyed the rival-spies-in-love plot, and the characters are great. The author uses time jumps to keep the reader in the action while filling in some of the background of the romance - and it works really well. I would definitely read more stories from this world - I found myself wanting more details on the world as I read this. There's a fun friend group here that could lead to spin off stories. Good for fans of romance stories with a side of fantasy/magic. (Language, sex - Magical elements include spells, broomsticks, familiars, glamours, necromancy.)

3.5 stars

This was a fun one, and although I don't think I've seen Mr. and Mrs. Smith, I've seen clips of it and I know the general story. This was absolutely a nod to that movie and I loved the spin that the author took on the story to create the two spy organizations in the supernatural world. The story was told in flashbacks to how their relationship developed and what happened during the wedding when their identities were revealed and it all went to pot. Overall, I thought this worked quite well and it showed us that their relationship was real despite what had to feel like a betrayal when everything came crashing down. Overall, I liked the side characters, especially Griffin's parents, as well as Saavy's best friends and Diego as well.

The sex scenes were fine and obviously showed the attraction between the two of them, but the writing just made me laugh--it read kind of like a juvenile's wet dream. It often pulled me out of the fact that they were all fighting for their lives and for a better future, and often took place when their friends and family were waiting for them to get it out of their system so they could plan the next steps. It was just kind of odd and pulled one out of the action.

Overall, this was a quick read (I read it in one sitting) and it was silly fun and just what I needed as a break after several long and serious reads. If you enjoy lighthearted spy adventures with some romance thrown in, or you're already a fan of this author, you'll probably enjoy this one.

I received an advance review copy for free from NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Slow in the beginning and sometimes the switching to the past does break up the story but I had fun reading this!
A second chance romance of 2 agents from opposite sides of thought (one technical the other magic) and rival companies are on the cusp of getting married when their occupations are revealed and chaos ensues.
The action does picks up and the little twists and turns made it fun and entertaining.
The familiars are great, nothing like a good looks can be deceiving action.
Do love a nerdy professor type who is also savvy sexy man of mystery. All in all a fun, weekend read.

I loved this delightful book, it’s a fun supernatural story.
Savannah (Savvy) is a powerful witch. She keeps that fact under wraps. She has a whirlwind relationship with Griffin, and they decide to get married. Savvy has no intention of telling her husband she’s a witch.
Griffin is an agent for a secret organization that goes after witches and other supernatural beings. He was raised to believe that witches are horrible. Griffin has no intention of telling Savvy about this job.
When the wedding arrives, their identities are revealed and they’re ordered to take the other one out. Something isn’t quite right, and they have to join together so they both can survive.
I loved this well written and entertaining book, 5 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

This definitely had Mr and Mrs Smith vibes just with magic! I loved Savvy! She was a fun character. The romance between her and Griffin was awesome. The steam was great. I loved the story and didn't expect the twist at the end. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Griffin and Savvy were such fun characters to get involved with and I appreciated that they started out as a couple because it allowed for the book to be a lot more fun than some other books can get. It's really unique because it's almost like an enemies to lovers but they're already lovers...who discover they're enemies. The inclusion of the flashbacks was a great way to learn more about them and their relationship. I'm not usually a fan of third person POV but I think it worked well with this story.

This is a cute rom com that was so much fun. The book bounces back and forth in the timeline to tell the tale.

The story begins on Savvy's wedding day to Griffin. However, there is something that Griffin doesn't know - Savvy is a witch and an agent of a magical group called CRONE. But Griffin has his own secret - he's an agent of the government group HUNTER, whose sole purpose is to find and eliminate magical entities. Those agencies are completely at odds with each other and both Griffin and Savvy find out the truth right before the ceremony. Neither of them are happy about the news and chaos ensues.

Through a series of flashbacks, we are shown the history of their relationship, which started with a chance encounter in London, where they were both on missions.

In the present, they do their best to get rid of each other. Is there any way to rekindle the spark of love?

This was a really fun twist of Mr & Mrs Smith with a paranormal vibe!

Savvy is a powerful witch working with the secret group CRONE to maintain balance in the magic world. When she falls in love with Griffin, she knows that she will have to hide this part of her from him. Little does she know that Griffin is a human who works with HUNTER, a secret group that keeps humans safe from magic. The two groups are enemies of each other, and both of their secret identities come out at the worst time possible: as they are heading to the alter to marry.

This book had all the scorching chemistry, and it had all the magic and mystery of a Supernatural episode. The characters, the familiars, and the intrigue of figuring out exactly how we made it to this point was an exciting ride that kept me on the edge of my seat. It was everything I loved about Mr & Mrs Smith but better because of the paranormal vibe that I love.

Thanks to St Martins Griffin and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

This was a fun book to read. The concept of witches and hunters ridding the world of evil to keep the humans safe. The witches coven group is called C.R.O,N.E. and the other is H.U.N.T.E.R. They.ve know about each others existence but absolutely despise each other. Little did they know that Savvy and Griffin were the next to take up the head of each group. The truth comes out at their wedding but also so many strange things. It's up to a select few to figure it out and fix it. It was a battle of good and evil with the help of people who were in the middle. Loved the ending!

Well! This was for sure an interesting take on the movie Mr and Mrs. Smith!

I of course loved the movie when I watched it so when I read the premise of this book I had many many high hopes. While it did stay true to the original in many ways, I loved the magical twist the author took to make it her own.

Witch books are my guilty pleasure and I was definitely entertained from beginning to end wondering just what would happen and whether or not the main characters would find their way back to each other as the characters in the movie did.

A fun, fantastic read that I really enjoyed throughout. Fun and flirty characters that were enjoyable in the story!

Savannah and Griffin are in love and about the walk down the aisle. At the ceremony, secrets come to life that reveal they have both been hiding a lot about themselves. With C.O.V.E.N and the Hunters at odds, will they ever be able to marry or are they doomed to destroy one another? Secret identities and the supernatural world clash in this race to the truth.
While loosely based on the movie plot with the similar name, I found myself enjoying the main characters and following how their relationship digressed and progressed. Their adventures were highly entertaining and with a wide assortment of amusing side characters and familiars, I can’t wait to read more books set in this world.
An enchanting witchy story worth reading!

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for my e-arc and physical review copy in exchange for an honest review! I really enjoy witchy type books, and this one was good! While this one fell a little flat for me, it was still good! It really reminded me of Serpent and Dove!

Thank you to St Martin's and NetGalley for the ARC of this novel. This is the movie Mr and Mrs Smith but in novel form with the supernatural thrown in. It is not hitting it beat for beat especially with the antagonists but that is what it is. I enjoyed the flashbacks and how they played into the events of the day and also happy that there was a happy ending. This was an engaging read that I finished fast and wanted to get back to so I could see how it would end. 4 stars.

Things go awry when a witch and a hunter discover they belong to centuries-old enemy organizations on their wedding day. Think Mr. and Mrs. Smith with a paranormal twist.

This is such a fun one! Filled with action, adventure, and a mystery the couple has to unravel while fighting for their lives, it takes you on a ride. This dual timeline, dual+ POV novel interweaves the current conflict storyline with the tale of them falling in love, so you get the arguments and battles interspersed with the romance and chemistry. Admittedly, I did struggle to connect with the book at the very beginning, but I am glad I kept reading. It was such an entertaining escape!

I received an advance copy from St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley. All review opinions are my own.

Romance, Mystery and Magic is blended together to make this one a fantastic read!

I loved the movie Mr and Mrs Smith, this book has the same vibe however it’s a bit more enchanting and doesn’t get quite as bloody.

Find your HEA in this magical mystery!

Mr. & Mrs. Witch begins on the wedding day of Savvy and Griffin. Following a whirlwind, year-long romance after meeting abroad, they've arrived at the altar to find out... each is not who the other thought they were. Savvy is a witch and part of an organization of witches that protects the public from supernatural phenomena, and Griffin is part of an organization that now primarily hunts down magical objects to protect the public, but also has a serious history of witch-hunting. Safe to say, when their families find out because the heads of each organization arrive and begin antagonizing each other... the wedding is off, and Savvy and Griffin are tasked with taking the other out.

And then we cut to a year ago to see the romance between Savvy and Griffin blossom.

If this sounds like your kind of story, definitely give this a shot!

Unfortunately, and this is entirely personal, it wasn't for me. Somehow along the way, I felt that the description I initially read when requesting this ARC did not really seem to align with what I actually read in the book and I couldn't shake my expectations. The writing style was not for me. I don't know why, I just couldn't take it. It literally was "he said she said she said he said" the whole time. It felt somewhere between first-person and third-person POV, somehow.

And honestly, I was bothered that I could barely get invested in these characters in the first 3 or 4 chapters because of all the craziness going down with setting up Savvy and Griffin, the organizations, the wedding, and then.... cut to a year ago. I felt whiplash. I wanted to either explore these characters within a rushed but growing relationship in a brand new marriage despite their roles in the world, OR experience their meet-cute and their growing infatuations. I just didn't want to do both and it made it difficult for me to really enjoy the characters and the story being told. It really seemed like two stories being told but I was just distracted with why the author couldn't pick just one.

Overall, it was a fine book. I just had some personal issues I was not able to overcome to fully enjoy this.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through Netgalley and the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
