I had previously read some of the rainbow fish books to my 8-year-old when he was younger (and to my younger brothers growing up), but I hadn't encountered all of these stories and it was nice to have them all in one volume for ease of reading.

The stories have great messages (that only occasionally shade towards being a bit heavy-handed) and are perfect for introducing many difficult concepts to young children in a fun and memorable way. Messages like sharing and being a good sport and being willing to reach out instead of attacking others out of fear and misunderstandings.

The illustrations are colorful and cheerful and do a great job conveying the message and mood of each story. The text is perfect for reading aloud to children, and also great for kids with a 2nd-to-3rd-grade reading level to practice reading, though they may need help here and there.

I really enjoyed reading through this collection of stories and sharing them with my child. I also really liked the included activities and author's note at the end, where the author talks about the inspiration for Rainbow Fish.

I grew up with Rainbow Fish. I think it is a great lesson in good citizenship. I also like the addition of other sea life, like the Whale. This is a great way to spark a child's curiosity in whales, and then use the story as a jumping off point to learn about whales and the ocean.

His adventures are always fun, learning experiences. This is a collection of 5 stories. Rainbow Fish faces challenges and learns how to cope and deal with feelings in a positive way with the help of his friends. 4 stars As always the illustrations are fabulous as well.

We loved this multi book collection! My daughter and I very much enjoyed the whale story in the story about the canyon. Rainbow fish is such a lovely character and it was exciting to read about his adventures!

I love that this is a collection of Rainbow Fish stories! They each are cute & quick but have good lessons to teach young readers. The Rainbow Fish is always a classic and the delightful world under the sea does really well in catching the eye of both children and adults alike. I would definitely want this collection in my preschool classroom. They kids would all love the stories and we can talk about the difficulties and solutions the Rainbow fish and his friends encounter.

I have always enjoyed Rainbow Fish stories so I loved this little collection of FIVE Rainbow Fish stories!! My 4 year old loved hearing all of these stories in one place. This is definitely a collection we will revisit and reread so we can continue to talk about Rainbow Fish and the lessons that each of these books teaches.

This treasury features 5 popular Rainbow Fish stories. As an early educator I love treasuries because it provides me and my students with the opportunity to compare and contrast stories. The Rainbow Fish books provide engaging stories around friendship and other important social emotional skill sets. Can’t wait to add this to my library!

My son loves The Rainbow Fish books. This one was no exception. He was very engaged with the five different stories and many beautiful illustrations. He especially loved the story with the whale.

At the end of the book there are several different activities for kids to do, including making fish cookies and making bookmarks. I look forward to doing these activities with my son soon.

My kids love The Rainbow Fish books since being introduced in kindergarten! To mark the 30th anniversary of The Rainbow Fish, this collection features five Rainbow Fish stories: The Rainbow Fish; Rainbow Fish and the Big Blue Whale; Rainbow Fish Discovers the Deep Sea; You Can’t Win Them All, Rainbow Fish; and Good Night, Little Rainbow Fish. We spent a lot of time over the last day reading Rainbow Fish stories and my kids never got bored. An added bonus in this collection are some fun activities and games at the back of the book including a rainbow fish cookie recipe, coloring page and maze, and two arts and craft ideas. Great collection for new and old lovers of Rainbow Fish stories.

I love how fun this colourful book is and how interesting the facts are regarding the different fishes that are mentioned in this collection. The book is a collection of five different short stories sharing the story about the Rainbow fish and his friends.

I love the illustrations. However, the presentation could be more better considering the reading age group.

Rainbow Fish is one of those children's storybook characters that will always be a classic in my eyes. This is a wonderful collection of not only the original story, but stories about Rainbow Fish's friends as well!

Each story has a wonderful lesson at the end, ranging from being kind, to sharing, to accepting others for their differences. This is a wonderful collection of some of the best of Rainbow Fish, and, as always, the illustrations were a delight!

My family and I love the illustrations in The Rainbow Fish and His Friends. We own the Rainbow Fish and enjoy it, so it was fun to read about other adventures and characters. Having a few stories in one book is a great idea.
All of these stories involved dealing with feelings, communications and friendship and provide a great start to engage your child and learn about these topics.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how it had multiple stories. I really enjoy books that help children with the big feelings they experience. They books really help kids know how to deal with their feelings in constructive ways. The illustrations were great too!
