Great workbook for those looking to build their confidence through working on their growth mindset. Would be better as a physical copy.
Put yourself back in the driver’s seat as you gain confidence, achieve your goals and overcome challenges with Michaela Johnson’s Growth Mindset Workbook for Adults.
Written by a psychotherapist with the objective to help you understand your current mindset and refocus on growth. This workbook comprises of two parts:
Part 1: Theory of mindset, including the 7 components of growth-mindset
Part 2: Practical activities to facilitate a growth-mindset
The 7 components of a growth-mindset that you will learn about are:
Identifying and confronting limiting beliefs
Liberating self-worth from ego
Welcoming challenges as opportunities
Find the lessons in failure and success
Seek out feedback, not praise
Make reflection and analysis a habit
Practice mindfulness and self care
If you are seeking a simple approach to mastering a growth-mindset you will appreciate Growth Mindset Workbook for Adults as a resource to regularly refer to when you need to realign back into a growth-mindset.
One of my biggest takeaways is having a few go-to exercises to address the areas of growth-mindset that are challenging to me. For example, when limiting beliefs are obstructing me in achieving my dreams I can step back and implement the ‘creating experience’ exercise whereby I reframe goals and dreams as experiences. This act helps me focus on the process rather than the destination. Once the ‘creating experience’ exercise is complete I have a tangible action item that aligns with the desired goal and experience. This action item is attainable and allows me to stay on course towards achieving my bigger goals.
Whilst not every exercise will be applicable to your journey, there are enough activities for you to find a few that will stick long-term, so what are you waiting for? Take the first step towards mastering a growth-mindset, today!
Special shout out to Netgalley, Michaela Renee Johnson and Callisto Media for the eARC of Growth Mindset Workbook for Adults.
This workbook could be helpful for readers struggling in this area. I think a print version would be preferred for most people, compared to the ebook I read. There were a lot of stories, and I'm not sure all of them were needed, though they will likely be relatable to many readers.
This was my first time doing a workbook and I found it really interesting. There was alot of thought provoking questions that had me taking my time to think through before writing. I would have personally preferred to not have some many stories in between. I am more of a give me the information and then I will do my side, but that is just my preference and I know alot of people like to be able to relate to people.
All in all if these workbooks are your thing, then I recommend doing this workbook for your mindset, goal setting whatever maybe your end goal I think it will help.
